The club thrummed with energy as Arslan and Mia got lost in the music and lights on their first date.
Mia’s eyes lit up with excitement as she leaned in, her voice low and playful, “So, have you always been this smooth on the dance floor, or is this a special performance just for me tonight?” Arslan flashed a charming grin, his gaze locking with hers.
“Only for you.
You bring out the best in me I guess,” he replied, his tone teasing yet sincere.
The music pulsed around them, setting the stage for their playful banter and the promise of a night full of surprises.
As Mia and Arslan moved on the dance floor, the music pulsed through them, their bodies swaying in perfect sync.
Arslan, with a mischievous glint in his eye, pulled Mia closer, his hand resting gently on her back.
The unexpected intimacy sent a shiver down her spine.
Without warning, Arslan spun her around, his strong arms holding her securely as her back pressed against his chest while wrapping his arm around her.
The sudden movement took her breath away, a mix of surprise and excitement flooding through her.
She could feel the warmth of his body radiating through his shirt.
“You’re full of surprises, aren’t you?” Mia teased, her voice soft and playful as she glanced over her shoulder.
Arslan grinned, his eyes locked with hers.
“Just trying to keep up with you,” he replied, his voice low.
The world around them seemed to fade away, leaving only the electric connection between them.
As Mia and Arslan swayed to the music, their playful banter adding a touch of flirtation to the night, Mia’s gaze landed on a familiar face from her college days – a guy with a sketchy past and present.
She gave him a nonchalant nod as they locked eyes before she turned to Arslan, a hint of intrigue in her voice.
“Check out that guy over there.
He’s one of New York’s biggest fixers,” she mentioned casually.
Arslan’s curiosity piqued, a relaxed grin on his face as he been looking for guy like this for a while.
“Well, well, looks like we’ve stumbled upon some excitement.
Lead the way?” he replied in an easygoing tone.
Mia quickly started walking while holding Arslan hands who walked behind her before she introduced him to the guy she was speaking of, their conversation flowed with a casual yet charged energy.
The guy, with a knowing glint in his eye, greeted them warmly.
“Ah, Mia, always a pleasure to see you.
And who might this charming fellow be?” he inquired smoothly.
Mia flashed a playful smile.
“This is Arslan.
Arslan, meet Jax, an old college acquaintance with a knack for…
interesting business ventures,” she introduced, her words carefully chosen as she smiled at him.
Arslan extended a polite hand.
“Nice to meet you.
Mia speaks highly of your…
ventures.
Care to share a bit more about what you do?” he inquired casually, a subtle challenge in his tone as he stared at Jax.
The guy’s eyes narrowed a bit as Arslan asked about his ventures.
“Let’s just say I keep myself busy with a few things,” he replied, his voice a bit vague.
Arslan grinned.
“Nice.
I’ve always been curious about the shady side of things,” he said casually.
The night unfolded, a mix of casual conversation and unspoken secrets were about to be revealed.
“So, you’re looking for someone who can…
handle certain…
things for you?” the man asked, a knowing glint in his eye as he stared at Arslan who nodded, a serious look on his face.
“Exactly.
Someone who can make my money…
disappear and reappear in a different form.” “Interesting friend you have here Mia, does he run with Elijah?” Jax asked Mia, even though his question seemed casual, Jax wanted to know if this man was someone who might bring problems for him if he started dealing with him, but Mia who shook her head made him relax Jax leaned in as he spoke again to Arslan.
“I might know a guy.
A real pro.
But it won’t come cheap.” Arslan raised an eyebrow at that before he spoke.
“Name your price.” Jax paused, a thoughtful expression on his face.
“We’ll discuss the details later.
But let’s just say it’ll be mutually beneficial.” He paused again, then added, “And remember, discretion is key.” “Mutual benefit, huh?
I like the sound of that,” Arslan replied, a smirk playing on his lips.
“So, what do you need from me in return?” Jax leaned back, a calculating look in his eyes.
“Information.
The kind that could be very valuable to the right people.” Arslan’s eyes narrowed.
“And if I don’t have such a thing ?” The man shrugged.
“Then we can’t do business together.” he said bluntly, making Arslan chuckle before he responded.
“I like challenges.
Let’s see how this plays out.” Jax pulled out a card from his pocket and handed it to Arslan.
“Here’s my contact information.
Call me tomorrow and we’ll see what we can do for each other,” he said before turning and disappearing into the crowd.
“Enjoy your night,” he added over his shoulder.
Arslan slipped the card into his pocket and turned to Mia.
“Let’s go grab a drink at the bar,” he suggested.
Mia chuckled at what he just said, “Are you old enough to drink?” she teased.
Arslan smiled sheepishly as he knew he wasn’t old enough to drink yet.
“Shut up, I’m a regular here,” he insisted as he led her towards the bar.
As they went to get their drinks, Arslan couldn’t help but wonder about the Jax and the potential of their partnership, a thrill of anticipation coursing through him.
========= The cool night air hit Mia’s flushed cheeks as she stumbled out of the club, Arslan’s arm slung loosely around her shoulder.
A playful grin spread across her face as she giggled, “I think we might have had a little too much fun tonight.” Arslan chuckled, his own cheeks tinged with a rosy hue.
“Yeah, maybe a little,” he admitted.
“But it was a good night.” He paused, his gaze drifting to the city skyline.
“Hey, you know what would be fun?
Let’s walk home.” Mia’s eyes widened in mock horror.
“Walk home?
Are you crazy?
It’s like, a million miles away!” Arslan smiled as he responded.
“Come on, it’ll be fun.
Besides, we need to sober up a bit.” With a sigh, Mia agreed.
The two started stumbling around the sidewalk as Arslan headed in the wrong direction.
Mia pulled him back on track.
“This way, you moron,” she said, both of them laughing.
As the two walked for a bit while chatting and laughing Arslan looked to his right before he spoke “Hey, I know a shortcut,” Arslan slurred, his eyes half-closed.
“It’ll get us home faster.” Mia rolled her eyes.
“Sure, let’s trust your drunken instincts,” she replied, a playful tone in her voice before she followed him.
The two stumbled down a dimly lit alleyway, the silence broken only by the sound of their footsteps.
As they rounded a corner, they heard a noise ahead of them.
A shadowy figure emerged from the darkness.
“Well, well, well,” the figure sneered.
“What do we have here?” “Just a couple of people out for a late-night stroll,” Arslan replied, his voice steady.
The figure laughed, drawing a knife and advancing slowly toward them.
As the light hit his face, they saw a man in his thirties, dressed in all black.
“Empty your pockets, or you’re dead,” the man threatened.
Mia trembled, fear gripping her.
Arslan, however, remained calm.
“I think you’ve picked the wrong target,” he said, with a serious look in his eye.
The man scoffed undeterred by what Arslan just said.
“We’ll see about that.” With a swift movement, Arslan pulled Mia behind him.
“Don’t worry,” he whispered.
The attacker lunged, but Arslan was ready.
He dodged the knife swiftly as it was much slower and weaker than the opponents he fought at the underground arena before he countered with a powerful punch, knocking the man out cold.
Seeing the man was not moving at all Arslan spoke “Let’s go,” he said as he pulled Mia closer and started walking.
As they walked away, Mia couldn’t help but marvel at Arslan’s strength and bravery.
She stared at the laid down man as she walked past him before she leaned closer into Arslan, feeling a sense of safety and security she hadn’t experienced in a long time.
The cool night air whipped at Mia’s face as she and Arslan finally reached the strip club.
The familiar sight of her home brought a sense of relief, a stark contrast to the fear and adrenaline that had coursed through her earlier.
After walking for what seemed like an hour the two who went to the second floor stood by the door, “We made it,” Mia breathed, leaning against the wall as she was tired of all the walking.
Arslan nodded, still a little drunk.
“Yeah, we did, I guess it was a bad idea to make you walk all the way.” He said before he paused as silence dominated the atmosphere between them, his gaze lingering on her face.
“You okay?” he asked as he saw how heavy she was breathing Mia forced a smile.
“I’m fine.
Just a little tired.” A moment passed between them, the only sound was the distant hum of city traffic.
Then, without warning, Arslan who couldn’t resist the beauty standing before him leaned in and kissed Mia.
It was a gentle kiss, filled with a tenderness that surprised them both.
As they pulled apart, Mia’s breath caught in her throat.
“What was that for?” she asked, her voice barely a whisper.
Arslan, who didn’t know what to answer to what she said, shrugged.
“I don’t know.
I just…
wanted to.” A smile crept across Mia’s face as she graced her lips with her finger.
“Well, it was nice.” Arslan grinned.
“I know.
Maybe we should go inside.” he said as he was ready for more action tonight, as Mia hesitated as she responded.
“Yeah, maybe we should.” As Arslan reached for the door handle planning to open the door and get in, Mia stopped him.
“Wait,” she said.
“I think we should slow down for a bit.” Arslan’s eyebrows furrowed.
“Are you sure?
You don’t want me to come in?” he said as he hoped she would reconsider Mia nodded, her voice firm.
“I’m sure.
I just need some time to process everything that happened tonight.” Arslan was disappointed but he understood and knew not to rush things.
“Okay.
I’ll see you later then” With a final glance at Mia, Arslan turned and walked away.
As he disappeared into the night, Mia had a faint smile as she touched her lips once again before she went inside and closed the door behind her.
