In the evening, Furina looked at the 30 bottles of red potion neatly arranged on the table and wiped the sweat from her face.

“Excellent.

Tomorrow, I’ll have Cissia place these on the shelves.” Stretching, Furina turned and went up to the bedroom.

Standing at the door, she smiled as she looked at the Blonde Snek already fast asleep.

“Really…

I can’t believe she didn’t leave a single piece for me.

She actually ate both of them.” Before going upstairs, she had opened the refrigerator with anticipation, only to find that Cissia had left behind nothing but two empty cake wrappers.

Seeing the chocolate cream still clinging to the corner of the other’s mouth, she sighed.

After taking a quick shower in the bathroom, Furina changed into her pajamas and crawled into bed.

The next morning, after waking up, Furina scratched her messy hair.

The cowlick on her head remained stubbornly upright.

She glanced to the side.

A certain snake was lazily hugging the blanket and talking in her sleep.

Getting up and walking to the other’s side, she raised her foot and kicked the other’s raised butt.

“Hey~ Wake up!

Get to work, the shop is opening today!” “Mmm…

alright, I know~” Waving a hand dismissively, Cissia stretched slowly as she crawled out from under the covers.

She smacked her lips, as if still savoring a dream.

Seeing that Furina had already dressed and was adjusting her hat and cowlick in front of the full-length mirror, the Blonde Snake let out a yawn.

She stood up, abandoned the thought of folding the blanket, and grabbed her own clothes from the nearby shelf.

After changing, she tied her hair into a simple side ponytail and walked over to Furina.

“Do you need me to do anything?” “Go to the warehouse downstairs and bring up two shelves to place in the lobby…

then go to the basement and bring up the potions on the wooden table next to the water tank.

If you dare spill them or drop them on the floor, you’ll never have afternoon tea again.” “Yes, Manager!

I guarantee to complete the mission!” Cissia stood at attention like a soldier.

After saluting, she dashed downstairs to fulfill the tasks Furina had assigned.

Furina went downstairs, took a seat at the bar, and picked up the guide to start reading.

[I assume you are ready to open the shop?

Correct…

Then please come to the door and hang the “Open” sign on it.] Nodding, Furina glanced at the Blonde Snek who was moving the shelves.

She waited a moment, and only after the other girl had stumbled and placed a box of potions on the shelf did she walk to the door, hang the sign, and flip it to the “Open” side.

Then she sat down on the chair behind the counter with full anticipation, while Cissia, following Furina’s instructions, went to the door to act as a receptionist.

About a few hours passed, and it was almost noon, but no one had come.

Furina rested her head on the counter.

Her eyelids were fighting fiercely, obviously so sleepy she couldn’t stand it.

On this side, Cissia rubbed her empty stomach.

She really couldn’t bear it anymore, so she spoke up.

“Manager Furina?

Is anyone really coming…

How about we go eat first~” Sighing, she looked around the shop.

Even with the shelves placed and the Life Recovery Potions displayed on them, it still felt somewhat lonely.

“Fine, fine~ Flip the sign at the door, let’s go eat first, then we can reopen.

I refuse to believe we won’t get a single customer today.” At the restaurant, Furina took a huge bite of her burger, followed by a big gulp of cola, then declared defiantly.

Opposite her, Cissia, who had already eaten twelve Honey Glazed Teriyaki Beef Burgers, was using a french fry to pick her teeth.

Hearing Furina’s bold proclamation, she picked up a fry, dipped it in ketchup, then crossed her legs and propped her head up with one hand, wearing an expression of profound yet unassuming wisdom.

“Is the Manager planning to sell Life Recovery Potions?” “Of course, I made so many of them, I’m definitely going to sell them…” “Then why don’t you post an announcement on the Inter-Knot?

There must be plenty of Hollow Raiders or Proxies who would see it, and if they need them, wouldn’t they come to buy?” Putting down the half-eaten burger in her hand, Furina swallowed the bite in her mouth and suddenly realized.

“I see, I can’t believe it, Cissia, you actually have a brain!” “What do you mean!

Furina, I’m very smart, okay?

It’s just that prolonged hunger made my brain too lazy to work.” “Alright, alright~ I’ll draft the post right now.

I bet we’ll have customers coming in this afternoon.” Watching Furina wag her tail and concentrate on typing on her phone, Cissia’s gaze drifted to the half-eaten burger on the table in front of her.

Her small hand wiggled, stealthily reaching out.

“You’re not eating your burger?

Then I won’t be polite~ Hehe…” Unexpectedly, the moment that restless little hand touched the burger wrapper, it was ruthlessly suppressed by Furina.

Her blue, teardrop-shaped heterochromatic eyes radiated authority.

“You’ve already eaten so much, and you still want to steal mine?

No.” “Hehe…

I was just worried you’d let it go to waste.

After all, Manager, you’re so small, you can’t eat much usually…” Putting down her phone, Furina looked at the other’s timid expression.

She broke the burger in half and handed one half over.

“You’re right, I can’t finish it.

Here, you can have half~” The blonde Snek visibly cheered up.

She grabbed the half-burger with one hand and devoured it in a single bite.

Back at the shop, Furina posted the announcement.

[Still nursing a headache over high medical bills?

Still worrying about minor injuries and illnesses…

Life Recovery Potion!

You deserve it.

Come to Serendipity General Store on Lumina Square North Street, two bottles for half price~ Complex diseases and broken bones can be quickly restored!] Obviously, Fufu had probably copied the template from some advertiser; the phrasing was almost identical.

Afterwards, the two returned to the shop and waited another afternoon, until the sun set, until…

It was dark, midnight, Furina was propping up her head and already in a half-comatose state, while Cissia, who was beside her, was already snoring on the wooden stool.

Still no one came, still no one!

Bang—!

A loud noise rang out, Cissia woke up abruptly from the table, failed to keep her balance, and rolled onto the floor.

She clutched her head and got up, curiously asking as she looked at Furina who had slammed the table and stood up.

“W, what happened…” “Why has no one come yet~?

And my post only has 2 views, one of which is just me—” “…Haha~” “Huh?!” Hearing a certain snake’s laughter, Furina shot her a cute yet deadly glare, instantly shutting the other person up.

“I’m not waiting anymore, let’s go upstairs to sleep!

If I stay up any longer, my skin will get worse…” Taking out a mirror, Furina complained as she stroked her own round, smooth, and fair face.

“Yay~ Finally, we can go to sleep!” Cissia was also delighted.

After all, she had wanted to go up to sleep at half past nine, but Furina had forced her to stay here until midnight.

The white-haired cat girl and the blonde snake arrived at the hallway entrance, just about to go upstairs, when the door was suddenly knocked.

“Knock, knock, knock…

Knock, knock, knock!

Knock, knock—” You could tell the sound was quite impatient, as if the person knocking was definitely in a great hurry.

Furina and Cissia both froze for a moment, then exchanged a glance.

Furina pointed to the door.

“A customer!

Go open it, quick—” “Ah~ Who is it~?

Knocking on the door at midnight…” It seemed they hadn’t flipped the “Open” sign over, and some person had spotted it and decided to knock.

Cissia reluctantly took a few quick steps to the door, flung it open, and immediately shouted.

“We’re about to close for the night—!!!

Ah~!!!” The instant the door opened, a tall shadow collapsed forward.

The person’s face was covered in blood, giving Cissia a huge fright.

She hurriedly stepped aside.

Thump—!
