10:30 at night.

A post was gradually going viral on the Jingbei Dance University forum.

Attached were photos of the black sedan from various angles.

Only the car was visible; no one could be seen.

Comment 1: Holy crap, the license plate is a consecutive-number plate.

Comment 2: This is explosive. Is it real?

OP: I saw her with my own eyes in the car with a man. It’s been half an hour since ten o’clock and they still haven’t come out.

…

Comment 357: Almost an hour and a half now, still down there. That much stamina? snicker.jpg

Comment 358: Anyone who can afford a car like that is getting on in years. To cling to power and wealth, she really will swallow anything…

…

The comments grew increasingly filthy.

Once things escalated like this, whoever got into that car—or stepped out of it—would be utterly disgraced.

Yun Qing was inside that very car.

Sitting snugly in Liang Xiheng’s embrace in the driver’s seat.

But they were merely holding each other; nothing more.

The luxurious, heavy car body separated them from the outside world like two different realms.

The interior of the car was utterly quiet.

“Have you had enough of hugging?”

The man’s deep, gentle voice enveloped her from above.

Yun Qing’s eyes flickered, and she clung to him a little tighter, greedily, her voice muffled as she pleaded, “Just a little longer.”

Perhaps from holding each other so long, even the air seemed tinged with a lingering, seductive warmth.

Liang Xiheng pressed the button with a long finger and lowered the window.

A gust of cool night air instantly poured in.

Yun Qing shivered and hugged him even tighter.

The moonlight was hazy.

Liang Xiheng lowered his head slightly and saw her profile, delicate as poetry, her slender shoulders pressed against him, looking utterly reluctant to let go.

As if a soft mist had gently settled over his heart, his breathing grew heavier.

He reached up and wrapped an arm around her waist, soothing her gently for a moment. “It’s late. Doesn’t your dorm have a curfew?”

Hearing this, Yun Qing instinctively turned to glance at the time displayed on the car screen.

Reluctantly, she struggled out of his embrace, climbed over the center console, and returned to the passenger seat.

But the moment she sat down, she couldn’t help letting out a sigh.

As if realizing something, Yun Qing stiffened, and when she turned her head, she met the man’s unwavering gaze.

“That comfortable, huh?”

Yun Qing’s throat tightened, a trace of embarrassment flashing across her face.

Comfortable, yes—but more than that, it was a feeling of reassurance and familiarity.

Ever since a serious illness at fourteen, she had always recoiled from physical contact with unfamiliar men—but Liang Xiheng was the sole exception.

The first time she saw him was on a rainy day last week.

He appeared at her family’s doorstep holding a black umbrella, dressed in a shirt and trousers, his figure tall and straight.

His noble, striking face was half-hidden in the umbrella’s shadow, rain falling densely around him. His eyes were unfathomably deep, their obscure gaze carrying a forceful, aggressive edge.

Meeting his gaze, one felt an invisible pressure that made people dare not approach him casually.

It was the first time she had ever seen someone with such a commanding presence. Even though he had done nothing at all, merely standing there was enough to inspire awe.

Seeing that he had come looking for her brother, she quickly collected herself and politely led him inside.

However.

On the steps, she accidentally stumbled.

Liang Xiheng, quick-eyed and swift-handed, steadied her, catching her arm.

The moment their skin touched, as if stimulated by something, her emotions suddenly surged with excitement. It felt like a deep-seated longing had been torn open, welcoming a thoroughly satisfying downpour.

After Liang Xiheng let go, her arms trembled inexplicably with excitement.

She didn’t know what was wrong with her.

She only knew that she loved the feeling of her skin pressed against his—loved it so much she lost control without even realizing it, even developing a kind of… desire to claim him for herself.

It was their second meeting tonight.

When she accidentally stumbled into his arms, that uncontrollable excitement came again, and being held by him felt even more intense than direct skin contact.

So, when Liang Xiheng drove her back to school, she was itching to test whether she’d somehow developed some kind of skin-hunger condition for him, and mustered the courage to make her request.

She hadn’t expected that with just one question—could she hug him?—he agreed.

And once she hugged him, there was no stopping.

Counting the time, they’d probably been hugging for over an hour now.

The facts proved that she really was sick, and quite seriously at that.

Liang Xiheng was the cause of her illness—and also her cure.

Still.

Liang Xiheng seemed hard to approach, but he didn’t appear to have much of a temper. No matter how long she hugged him, he never pushed her away. Perhaps a large part of the reason was that he was being considerate of the fact that she was his friend’s younger sister.

Yun Qing turned her head to look at him.

The man had his arm resting on the window, sitting in a relaxed, languid posture, his face bathed in dim light, giving him the cinematic quality of a top-tier shot from a political thriller.

His gaze seemed calm and unruffled, yet it concealed the effortless mastery of someone in power, tinged with a touch of superiority that could disregard everything.

Outstandingly distinguished, so much so that it made one’s heart race.

As if suddenly aware of a worrying question, Yun Qing asked him, “Xiheng-ge, do you have a girlfriend?”

Liang Xiheng replied in an unhurried voice, “Isn’t it a bit late to ask that now?”

Yun Qing was momentarily speechless.

When she’d asked to hug him, she hadn’t thought that far ahead—and he had agreed anyway.

He probably didn’t have a girlfriend.

She looked into the man’s deep, gentle eyes and pressed on, “So, do you or don’t you?”

The corner of Liang Xiheng’s lips curved slightly as he answered her, “Single.”

Yun Qing immediately asked, “Can I pursue you?”

Her clear, sweet voice seemed to stir the night. A gust of night wind swept past, carrying a crabapple petal inside, which drifted down onto Liang Xiheng’s suit trousers.

Liang Xiheng’s gaze silently locked onto her face, unmoving.
