Returning to his routine, Albedo finally decided to relocate.

Living out in the uninhabited forest reserves surrounding Bellwood had simply grown tedious—and more importantly, traveling thirty miles just to secure a fresh order of chili fries was a gross misuse of his time.

He purchased a modest, two-story house nestled in a quiet residential district of Bell City.Full novel: Ben 10: Albedo’s Apex — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

From the curb, the structure looked completely ordinary, blending seamlessly into the suburban neighborhood.

The interior, however, had been completely gutted and retrofitted.

Albedo re-engineered the house using pure Galvan architectural logic: high-density alloy plating, sub-quantum power conduits, automated security grids, and a central laboratory—though all scaled up to human proportions for comfortable daily living.

Stepping out onto his front porch under the bright morning sun, Albedo stretched his arms, feeling relatively satisfied.

For the past week, his primary research focus had been decoding the mathematical framework required to integrate a localized “Fusion Function” directly into his Ultimatrix.

The simulations were progressing flawlessly; within a few days, he would be able to trigger double-DNA hybridization on command without relying on hardware glitches.

Placing his hands in his red jacket pockets, Albedo began strolling down the Bell City sidewalk, aiming for the nearest Mr.

Smoothie kiosk.

As he walked, however, he couldn’t help but notice an annoying shift in the local civilian population.

Pedestrians repeatedly paused in their tracks, staring at him with a volatile mix of shock, wide-eyed anxiety, whispers, and sudden reverence.

Whenever he approached a crosswalk, crowd members actively scrambled out of his path, pressing themselves against storefront windows to give him an abnormally wide berth.

Albedo’s brow furrowed slightly in mild confusion, but he dismissed it.

He didn’t care what the local primates were staring at—he only cared about securing his morning order of chili fries.

Behind him, low, excited mutters rippled through the gathered crowd:

“Is that him?!”

“It’s Ben Tennyson!

Look at his face!”

“Why is his hair white?

Is that a new hero form?”

“Don’t get too close, man!

You saw the news online—the guy’s a total alien maniac!”

Holding a hot, freshly paper-wrapped container of chili fries, Albedo pushed open the glass door of the Mr.

Smoothie shop, ready to head back to his lab.

The second his boot hit the pavement outside, a blinding wall of camera flashes erupted directly in his face.

Before he could react, a frantic mob of news reporters, photojournalists, and cameramen swarmed him like starving flies.

Microphones, telephoto lenses, and boom mics were shoved within inches of his nose, flashing lights burning against his pale eyes.

“Mr.

Tennyson!

Is it true you’ve been operating as an unregistered vigilant alien?!”

“Ben!

Over here!

What do you have to say about the leaked video files exposing your secret identity?!”

“Mr.

Tennyson, how long have you been hiding these extraterrestrial transformations from the United States government?!”

Albedo stood frozen, his jaw tightening as the realization hit him like a physical blow.

Tsk…

Tennyson, you absolute, brainless primate, Albedo thought bitterly, his blood-red eyes narrowing into slit-like glares.

His secret identity was exposed to the public.

The overwhelming noise and flashing lights instantly drained what little patience Albedo possessed.

He turned to an innocent, bewildered bystander standing on the sidewalk, shoved his warm container of chili fries directly into the man’s hands, and snatched a heavy news microphone right out of a reporter’s grip.

He tapped the mic, testing the feedback, then cleared his throat.

“Attention, you brain-dead, low-yield primates!” Albedo’s voice boomed over the crowd, sharp, cold, and utterly condescending.

“Are your optical organs purely decorative?!

Exercise whatever microscopic fraction of brain matter you possess and look at me!

Do I look like Ben Tennyson to you?!

I have white hair, you absolute imbeciles!”

To a crowd of sensationalist journalists, a hero shouting insults while possessing Ben Tennyson’s exact facial structure only confirmed their scoop.

“Ben!

Is the white hair a cosmetic side-effect of your alien device?!” a reporter yelled, shoving a camera closer.

Albedo squeezed his eyes shut, letting out a long, murderous breath.

Talking to them is a complete waste of acoustic energy.

“Fine,” Albedo muttered, tossing the microphone back at the reporter’s chest.

“If you insist on treating me like Tennyson…

I shall handle this with his signature lack of subtlety.”

Albedo stepped back, raised his left arm, and slammed his palm down onto his Ultimatrix dial.

A violent flare of crimson light flooded the street.

“Rath!!”

A towering, two-meter-tall bipedal tiger-like alien burst from the flash.

His massive, muscular frame was covered in bright orange fur with white underplating and sharp black stripes.

Heavy, retractable black bone claws snapped out from his knuckles with a lethal CLICK, and his blood-red eyes glared down at the terrified reporters.

“LISTEN UP!” Rath roared, his voice rattling the glass windows of the Mr.

Smoothie building.

“RATH HATES ANNOYING QUESTIONS!

RATH HATES BEING CORNERED BY PESTERINGS WITH CAMERAS!

IF YOU DON’T ALL DISAPPEAR FROM RATH’S SIGHT IN THREE SECONDS, RATH IS GOING TO USE YOUR CAMERAS AS DENTAL FLOSS!!”

Rath threw his head back and let out a deafening, earth-shaking roar, beating his massive orange chest with his fists.

The reporters screamed in collective terror, dropping microphones and tripping over cables as they scattered in every direction, clearing the entire street in less than ten seconds.

A second flash of crimson light swept over the sidewalk, and Albedo stood back in his human form, casually adjusting his red collar.

He turned back to the stunned bystander, taking his chili fries back with a polite nod.

“Thank you for safeguarding my meal.”

Twenty minutes later, inside Albedo’s living room, Albedo sat on his sofa, rubbing his throbbing temples as he glared across the coffee table.

Sitting on the opposite couch, casually munching on a fast-food burger, was Ben Tennyson.

“Care to explain why you are currently occupying my residential space?” Albedo asked, his voice dripping with annoyance.

“Well, you know how it is, man,” Ben said, talking through a mouth full of food.

“Chew~ chew~ My identity got leaked to the entire planet.

My house is completely surrounded by news vans, so I needed a place to lie low for a bit.

Chew~”

Albedo snapped.

He reached across the table, yanking the fast-food bag right out of Ben’s hands.

“Stop eating my rations!

If you’re hungry, go buy your own!

Why aren’t you hiding at your girlfriend’s house?!”

Albedo looked inside the bag, hoping for a fry, but found it completely empty.

His mood instantly plummeted even further.

“I didn’t want to drag Julie into this crazy media circus,” Ben sighed, leaning back against the cushions.

“Besides, I figured you have all those high-tech Galvan scanning systems.

I was hoping you could help me track down the hacker who leaked my photos online.”

Albedo stared at him in utter disbelief.

“Let me get this straight: you refrained from bothering your girlfriend, so you decided to bother me instead?!”

Sighing in absolute defeat, Albedo crumpled the empty bag, tossed it into the recycling bin, and stood up.

“Fine!

I will locate your little internet informant so you can get out of my house and leave me in peace!”

Albedo walked toward a side hallway, with Ben trailing eagerly behind him.

Albedo unlocked a heavy security door, revealing a state-of-the-art laboratory room packed with custom-built Galvan processing terminals, holographic displays, and multi-node supercomputers.

Whoa…

those screens look incredible.

I bet games run at a million frames per second on those things!

Albedo, completely oblivious to the fact that showing Ben his gaming-capable supercomputers would lead to endless future unwanted visits, sat down at the primary interface.

His fingers moved across the holographic keyboard in a blinding blur of precise inputs.

Within ninety seconds, Albedo breached local network traffic, isolating the primary IP node responsible for uploading the high-resolution images of Ben’s alien transformations.

“Found him,” Albedo said, pointing a pale finger at the monitor.

The screen displayed an active user profile filled with amateur alien footage, forum posts, and fan theory boards.

“This user is the source of the leak,” Albedo explained, his red eyes scanning the metadata.

“He’s been cross-referencing public disaster footage with local news archives for months.

Judging by his post history…

he isn’t an enemy.

He appears to be an overly obsessed fan of yours.”

Albedo had intended to offer a condescending scoff, but remembering that this fan’s post had indirectly led to news crews cornering him at a smoothie shop, his expression turned sour.

“Is it a master villain?” Ben asked, leaning over Albedo’s shoulder.

“How did you crack his security so fast?”

“Human network encryption is child’s play,” Albedo replied coldly.

He executed a final command, sending the exact GPS coordinates directly to Ben’s Plumber badge interface.

“I’ve routed the physical location to your communicator.

I also sent a ping to Levin to drive over with Gwen.

Go handle your little fan club offline.”

Ten minutes later, a green sports car pulled up to the curb outside Albedo’s house.

Kevin leaned his head out the driver’s side window, glaring playfully.

“Hey, Tennyson!

Get in!

Albedo sent us the coordinates.”

Ben tried one last time to recruit Albedo for the trip, but Albedo firmly shut the door in his face.

Albedo knew precisely how this plotline unfolded: the “leaker” was merely a young boy named Jimmy Jones who meant no real harm.

More importantly, Albedo knew that an OS-level fugitive named Aggregor—an Osmosian warlord from the Andromeda Galaxy—was currently hunting five specific alien escapees across Earth.

However, in his current base form, Aggregor was far too weak and uninteresting to warrant Albedo’s personal intervention.

If he manages to absorb all five Andromeda profiles and achieve his Ultimate state, perhaps then he will be worth my time, Albedo reasoned, walking back to his lab.

Until then, Tennyson can handle the heavy lifting.

(Narrative summary of the Florida deployment)

Ben, Gwen, and Kevin confronted young Jimmy Jones, confirming he was just an enthusiastic kid who wanted Ben to get the recognition he deserved.

However, Jimmy provided them with a genuine piece of evidence: unreleased security footage of a non-Omnitrix alien entity hiding out in a NASA research facility in Florida.

Using Kevin’s heavily modified, space-capable Plumber cruiser, the trio flew down to Florida.

Upon contacting Albedo remotely for biological identification, Albedo offered a brief, clinical breakdown: the creature was a Bivalvan—a aquatic, shell-armored entity native to the Andromeda Galaxy.

In Florida, after a brief misunderstanding with NASA security, the team discovered the alien was stealing nuclear-grade propulsion components to rebuild his crashed starship and escape back to his home quadrant.

Unfortunately, initiating the jury-rigged drive system inside Earth’s atmosphere would trigger a catastrophic nuclear blast across central Florida.

When diplomatic negotiations failed, Ben engaged the entity using a newly unlocked form from his Ultimatrix matrix: Ultimate Spidermonkey.

Utilizing his hyper-dense web strands and enhanced physical strength, Ben restrained the alien while Kevin safely disarmed the nuclear drive core.

Before being turned over to Plumber custody, the alien revealed a grim truth: he was one of five captives who had escaped from the Osmosian warlord Aggregor after being poached from the Andromeda Galaxy.

Tragically, shortly after Ben’s team departed the site, Aggregor tracked down the weakened Bivalvan, ambushing and recapturing him in the shadows.
