The first weekend after their marriage arrived with an unusual calm.

For the first time in years, the Wongravee Mansion didn’t feel as cold as it once had.

The scent of breakfast drifted from the kitchen, and quiet conversations replaced the heavy silence that had always filled the halls.Full novel: (BL) Mechanical Hearts & Architecteral Dreams — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Nani woke up earlier than usual.

He carefully made the bed before opening the curtains, allowing the soft morning sunlight to flood the room.

Noah stretched lazily before jumping onto the windowsill.

“Good morning, Noah,” Nani whispered with a smile.

The little cat answered with a cheerful meow.

Sky, who had already finished his morning workout, stepped back into the bedroom carrying two mugs.

“I made coffee.”

Nani looked surprised.

“You made it?”

Sky nodded.

“I wasn’t sure how you take yours.”

“So… I made one black and one with milk.”

Nani accepted the mug with a grateful smile.

“The one with milk is perfect.”

“I’m glad.”

It was a simple conversation.

But unlike the awkwardness of their first few days together, it now felt…

comfortable.

Downstairs, the servants were already preparing breakfast.

Nani walked into the kitchen with Noah following closely behind.

“Good morning, everyone.”

The staff greeted him with warm smiles.

“Good morning, Young Master Nani.”

One of the elderly maids sighed happily.

“The mansion finally feels alive again.”

Another maid quickly nodded.

“It’s all thanks to Young Master Nani.”

Nani laughed shyly.

“I haven’t done anything special.”

“You’ve done more than you realize,” the head butler replied kindly.

“You remember our names.”

“You ask how we’re doing.”

“And yesterday you even helped repair the greenhouse after the storm.”

Nani rubbed the back of his neck, embarrassed.

“I just wanted to help.”

They had served the Wongravee family for decades, but this was the first time they had felt treated like family instead of employees.

As breakfast was served, Wongravee entered the dining room.

His sharp gaze swept across the table.

Nani was pouring orange juice for Sky before serving himself.

It was such a natural gesture that even Wongravee paused.

Neither of the young men seemed to realize they were acting like a real married couple.

Sky looked at Nani.

“Did you sleep well?”

“I did.”

“And you?”

“Better than usual.”

Nani smiled.

“I’m glad.”

For a brief second, Wongravee found himself watching them in silence.

Then he looked away.

“It means nothing,” he muttered to himself.

Later that afternoon…

The front doorbell rang.

Nani opened it.

Standing outside were Tay, New, and little Ching Ching.

“Brother Nani!”

Ching Ching threw herself into Nani’s arms.

“I missed you!”

Nani laughed and hugged her tightly.

“I missed you too.”

Noah immediately ran toward Ching Ching, happily rubbing against her legs.

“Hi, Noah!”

The kitten purred loudly.

Sky appeared in the hallway.

“Brother.”

Tay smiled.

“How’s married life?”

Sky glanced at Nani, who was helping Ching Ching take off her shoes.

“It’s… quieter than I expected.”

New chuckled.

“I’ll take that as a good sign.”

The once-silent mansion echoed with laughter as Ching Ching showed Sky the drawings she had made at school.

“Look!”

“I drew our family!”

Sky accepted the drawing carefully.

It showed six smiling figures holding hands.

Tay.

New.

Nani.

Ching Ching.

Sky.

And…

Noah.

Sky stared at the picture for a long moment.

“Where’s Grandpa?” Ching Ching suddenly asked innocently.

The room fell silent.

Before anyone could answer, Wongravee entered the living room.

Ching Ching looked up at him with bright, innocent eyes.

“Grandpa, come look at my drawing!”

Everyone froze.

The servants held their breath.

Wongravee wasn’t Ching Ching’s grandfather.

Yet the little girl had called him that without hesitation.

The stern businessman looked at the child’s smiling face.

For a brief moment, something flickered in his expression.

Then it was gone.

He turned away without saying a word and walked back toward his study.

Ching Ching lowered her head.

“Did I say something wrong?”

Nani gently hugged her.

“No, sweetheart.”

“You didn’t do anything wrong.”

Sky watched his father disappear down the hallway.

For the first time, he wondered if the walls around Wongravee’s heart were even thicker than his own.

As evening settled over the mansion, the house felt warmer than it had in years.

A place that had once been filled with silence now echoed with laughter, footsteps, and the soft purring of a little white cat.

Neither Sky nor Nani realized it yet.

Their fake marriage wasn’t just changing their own lives.

It was quietly changing everyone around them.

And somewhere deep inside, a family that had long been broken was beginning to find its way back together.
