Monday arrived with the familiar rush of university life.
The alarm rang at exactly six o’clock.
Sky opened his eyes immediately, his years of discipline never allowing him to oversleep.
He turned off the alarm before it could wake the rest of the room.
On the bed, Nani was still sleeping peacefully, Noah curled up against his chest.
Sky couldn’t help but shake his head with a faint smile.
“You two really don’t like mornings.”
As if hearing him, Noah lazily opened one eye before stretching across the blanket.
“…Traitor,” Nani mumbled in his sleep, pulling the cat back into his arms.
Sky quietly chuckled.
It was a sound so soft that even he didn’t realize he had laughed.
An hour later…
The aroma of breakfast drifted into the bedroom.
Nani stepped out of the bathroom, drying his damp hair with a towel.
Sky looked up from adjusting his necktie.
“You’ll catch a cold.”
“Hm?”
“Your hair.”
“It’s still wet.”
Nani blinked.
“Oh… I forgot.”
Without another word, Sky opened a drawer and handed him a hairdryer.
“You can use mine.”
“Thank you.”
As Nani dried his hair, Sky finished buttoning his black university jacket.
For a brief moment, their eyes met in the mirror.
Neither of them spoke.
Yet the silence no longer felt awkward.
It felt…
familiar.

Downstairs, the servants had already prepared breakfast.
“Good morning, Young Masters.”
“Good morning.”
Nani smiled warmly as he took his seat beside Sky.
The head chef served toast, eggs, fresh fruit, and coffee.
As Nani reached for the strawberry jam, it was just out of reach.
Before he could stand, Sky quietly picked it up and placed it beside him.
“Here.”
Nani smiled.
“Thank you.”
One of the younger maids watched the interaction with sparkling eyes.
“They’re so sweet together…”
The head butler coughed softly, reminding everyone to remain professional.
But even he couldn’t hide his smile.
After breakfast, Sky picked up his car keys.
“We should leave.”
Nani nodded.
“I’m ready.”
Just as they stepped outside, Wongravee appeared at the front entrance.
“You’re driving him again?”
Sky looked at his father.
“Yes.”
“You don’t have to.”
“I know.”
“But I want to.”
The simple answer caught Wongravee off guard.
For a moment, he studied his younger son carefully.
There was something different about Sky.
His voice was calmer.
His eyes seemed…
lighter.
As though living with Nani had eased a burden he had carried for years.
He simply watched as the two young men got into the car and drove toward GMM University.
The drive was peaceful.
Soft music played quietly through the speakers.
Nani looked out the window at the busy streets before turning toward Sky.
“Can I ask you something?”
“You can.”
“Why did you choose Mechanical Engineering?”
Sky’s hands tightened slightly on the steering wheel.
“I didn’t.”
Nani looked at him in surprise.
“My father chose it for me.”
“…Oh.”
There was no bitterness in Sky’s voice.
Only quiet acceptance.
After a long silence, Nani smiled gently.
“Then one day…”
“I hope you’ll get to choose something just because it makes you happy.”
Sky glanced at him briefly.
No one had ever wished something like that for him before.
A faint smile appeared on his lips.
“…Maybe.”
Nani smiled back.
Neither of them noticed the black sedan following at a distance.
Inside sat Wongravee’s assistant, camera in hand.
Every smile.
Every conversation.
Every shared moment.
Was carefully recorded.
But as he watched the couple laughing quietly at a joke Noah’s loud meow seemed to interrupt from his pet carrier, even the assistant found himself wondering…
Were they still pretending?
Or had the line between a fake marriage and real feelings already begun to disappear?
