News traveled fast at GMM University.

Within an hour of Prim Lily’s arrival, whispers had spread across every department.

“Did you hear? A beautiful woman came looking for President Sky.”Full novel: (BL) Mechanical Hearts & Architecteral Dreams — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“I heard she’s from the Lily family.”

“Does that mean they’re really getting engaged?”

Students exchanged curious glances as rumors grew with every passing minute.

Sky had just finished a Student Council meeting when his vice president approached him.

“President.”

“What is it?”

“There’s someone waiting for you in the reception lounge.”

Sky frowned.

“Who?”

“A woman… She introduced herself as Prim Lily.”

For a brief moment, Sky closed his eyes.

“So Father really sent her…”

Without another word, he walked toward the reception lounge.

Prim stood by the window, admiring the university campus.

She turned as soon as she heard footsteps.

“Sky?”

Sky gave a polite nod.

“Miss Prim.”

She smiled warmly.

“It’s nice to finally meet you.”

“I’m sorry you had to come all the way here.”

“I didn’t come because I wanted to discuss the engagement,” Prim said honestly.

Sky looked at her in surprise.

“I came because I wanted to know the truth.”

She folded her hands in front of her.

“Are you being forced into this marriage?”

The question caught Sky off guard.

After a moment of silence, he answered quietly.

“…Yes.”

Prim lowered her gaze.

The two stood in silence, realizing they were victims of the same arrangement.

“I don’t want either of us to live an unhappy life,” Prim said gently.

“If there’s a way to stop this… I’ll help.”

Before Sky could reply, his phone rang.

The caller ID read:

Father.

Sky answered.

“Yes, Father.”

“I heard Prim has arrived.”

“She has.”

“Good.”

“I’ve arranged dinner tonight.”

“You’ll both attend.”

Sky’s expression hardened.

“I’m not coming.”

There was a long silence on the other end.

“What did you say?”

“I said I’m not coming.”

“You don’t get to refuse me.”

“I’ve obeyed you my entire life,” Sky replied, his voice calm but firm.

“I studied Mechanical Engineering because you ordered me to.”

“I trained to take over the company because you wanted me to.”

“I respected every decision you made.”

“But I won’t marry someone just to protect your reputation.”

Wongravee’s voice turned icy.

“You sound just like your brother.”

Sky tightened his grip on the phone.

“If standing up for my own life makes me like Brother…”

“…then I’m proud to be like him.”

The call ended.

Sky slowly lowered his phone. This story is hosted at g.com.

Prim looked at him with sympathy.

“You really love your brother, don’t you?”

Sky nodded.

“He protected me when we were children.”

“Now…”

“It’s my turn to stand beside him.”

Prim smiled softly.

“I hope both of you find your happiness.”

That evening, the atmosphere inside the Wongravee Mansion was colder than ever.

Wongravee sat alone in his study, staring at a framed family photograph taken years ago.

Tay.

Sky.

A smiling family that no longer existed.

His trusted assistant entered quietly.

“Sir.”

“What is it?”

“The Young Master refused the dinner invitation.”

Wongravee’s eyes darkened.

“So…”

“Both of my sons have chosen love over this family.”

He slowly stood and walked toward the window.

“If Tay has escaped…”

“…then Sky will not.”

The chairman’s lips curved into a cold smile.

“I’ll make sure he has no choice.”

Far away, beneath the familiar oak tree on campus, Sky sat alone after sunset.

He looked at the carton of milk Nani had given him earlier that day.

For the first time in years…

Someone had cared about him without asking for anything in return.

He smiled faintly.

A warmth he had long forgotten had quietly begun to melt the walls around his heart.

But little did he know, the battle against his father had only just begun.
