Yuan Ye had already arrived at the company. Recently, with the new product launch over at the furniture factory and event promotions driving people frantic with busyness, the advertising company was also just starting out, and he worked almost day and night. The rare times he stopped were just to drink a glass of water. Du Yu had always found it strange why Yuan Ye insisted on choosing an advertising company as his office location—it was far from everywhere, making delivering documents very inconvenient. After complaining a few times to no avail, he simply let it be.

In fact, Yuan Ye knew this wasted a lot of time, but equally, Li Sheng was also very busy. Because the company was newly established, many things had to be handled personally, and numerous clients had to be maintained firsthand. He was busy to the point of flying, having to see several clients and negotiate multiple business deals in a single day. Sometimes, just to secure an advertising spot, he had to go make rounds and seek approvals from many units, most of the time forgetting to eat. His old issue of hypoglycemia would always act up, yet his pockets only ever held creamy candies. This left Yuan Ye feeling deeply distressed, but he couldn’t pick a fight with him when everyone was already on edge, so he endured it, growing more and more curious about this story surrounding the White Rabbit candy.

Li Sheng had taken on a huge gig and originally wanted to ask Yang Shu to come upstairs with him to discuss it, but Yang Shu had gone out on a location shoot and wouldn’t be back for two days. With no other choice, he had to discuss it with just Yuan Ye. Watching Li Sheng’s serious, business-like expression, Yuan Ye was reminded of their very first meeting when they discussed graphic designs. He reached out and snatched Li Sheng’s glasses right off his face. Caught completely off guard, Li Sheng was startled, frowning as he said, “Stop fooling around, let’s talk about serious business. This gig can earn us a pretty penny.”Full novel: Black Room — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Come here, and I’ll give it back to you.”

Li Sheng sighed, walked over to retrieve his glasses, but was yanked straight into Yuan Ye’s embrace instead. Li Sheng knew all too well about his little tricks, but lacking the energy to play along, he just wanted his glasses back. Yuan Ye, however, wouldn’t let up until he pulled Li Sheng in and kissed him. It had been quite a while since they had shared a bed, and Li Sheng knew he had endured for a long time as well; this single kiss instantly ignited a spark. Putting aside everything else, Yuan Ye’s body was still utterly mesmerizing. After a few rounds of struggling, neither of them could restrain themselves anymore, and they intertwined and made love right there on the office desk.

For some reason, Yuan Ye kept demanding that Li Sheng call out his name, making him repeat it continuously until his voice grew hoarse, yet Yuan Ye still refused to let him stop. In the end, clinging to Yuan Ye’s shoulders, the two of them felt as though they wanted to knead each other into their very bodies, waiting for the sensations to slowly subside. Li Sheng’s gaze gradually softened. Stroking his forehead, Yuan Ye said, “You have to make yourself remember me. Whenever you’re drunk, feeling upset, in pain, or happy, the very first name that comes to your mind must be this one.”

Li Sheng’s eyelashes trembled slightly, as if unsure how to respond. After a long moment, he said, “You really are childish.”

After the intimacy, serious business still had to be addressed. Because his lower back felt uncomfortable, Li Sheng half-reclined on the sofa. Yuan Ye wanted to offer him a massage, but was flat out rejected. Helpless, Yuan Ye sat back down in his chair, though his gaze remained fixed right on the desk. Catching sight of this, a slight blush crept onto Li Sheng’s cheeks—he vividly remembered how he had called out Yuan Ye’s name on that exact desk, prompting him to snap, “Can you stop looking at it?”

Upon hearing that, not only did Yuan Ye keep looking, he even reached out to touch it. “It’s still quite warm.”

Sitting up straight, Li Sheng said to Yuan Ye, “Can you be a bit serious? This gig isn’t just being eyed by us; our former boss is also keeping his sights on it. We just acquired his younger brother’s company, and God only knows how much he hates us right now. Since we’re just starting out, we still need to take things a bit more seriously.”

Yuan Ye nodded. “You don’t need to consult me on this; you’re far better at this aspect than I am. Go handle it, or discuss it with Yang Shu—either way is fine.”

Li Sheng let out a sigh. “I just knew I shouldn’t have come upstairs to find you.”

Just as he was about to leave, he was pulled back by Yuan Ye. “What, didn’t I fill you up? You’ve got that unsatisfied look all over your face.”

Li Sheng shook off Yuan Ye’s hand and glared at him. “Old hooligan.”

Yuan Ye smiled. “You’re even a year older than me. If I’m an old hooligan, what does that make you?”

Pushing him away, Li Sheng headed out the door. “I still have to go to the construction site this afternoon, suit yourself!” The moment the door clicked shut, Li Sheng concluded that he had been far too impulsive; come hell or high water, he was going to get Yuan Ye’s desk replaced.
