After the incident with Orihime Inoue’s brother was resolved, Ren, Ichigo, and Rukia left.

Before leaving, Rukia used a Memory Modifier to alter the memories of Orihime and Tatsuki Arisawa.

Ichigo agreed with this decision.Full novel: Bleach: Starting with Multiverse Character Templates — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

In his view, Orihime and Tatsuki were ordinary people who shouldn’t be dragged into the conflicts between Hollows and Shinigami.

Back home, before going to sleep, Ren finally returned to silence and checked his earnings over this period.

In the Myriad Worlds Paradise, he now had 2 E-Rank Plot Token and 4000 Myriad Points.

For the current Multiverse Instances, he was probably the wealthiest among all Reincarnators.

More importantly, Plot Token and Myriad Points from the Myriad Worlds Paradise could be used to enhance one’s own Passives.

Previously, Ren had enhanced his Magic Resistance, adding resistance to Reiatsu.

Reiryoku was like a Shinigami’s mana pool, and Reiatsu was its output pressure.

This principle had already been internalized by Ren, so it was not repeated again in his thoughts.

With a thought, Ren opened Gilgamesh’s status panel.

[Character Template: Gilgamesh (S)] [Level: 10 (30/100)] [Passives: Magic Resistance (E), Golden Rule (E), Charisma (E), Charming Youth (E), Independent Action (E)] [Abilities: King’s Treasury (E), Sha Naqba Imuru (E)] Although he was only Level 10 and all his Passives and Abilities were only E-Rank, this status panel was already quite luxurious.

Most importantly, Ren’s physical strength was now one-tenth that of a peak Gilgamesh.

With his current strength, he could even kill an ordinary Hollow with his bare hands.

Looking at the Passives in his status panel, Ren tried enhancing each one.

He wanted to see if other Passives could gain additional attributes like Magic Resistance had.

After trying them all, Ren discovered that Golden Rule, Charisma, and Charming Youth could be enhanced, but unlike Magic Resistance, they didn’t gain additional attributes; they only strengthened their existing effects.

And the maximum enhancement was to E+ Rank.

Going further would require consuming D-Rank Plot Token.

In Ren’s view, that wasn’t cost-effective, so he chose not to enhance them.

After all, when the Gilgamesh Character Template reaches Level 20, all Passive and Ability ranks will increase to D-Rank.

Therefore, there was no need to waste Plot Token and Myriad Points on temporary enhancement paths.

At this point, a subtle logical inconsistency briefly surfaced in Ren’s thinking, but he dismissed it by relying on the system’s long-term progression framework rather than immediate optimization concerns.

Finally, Ren turned his attention to the Passive: Independent Action (E).

In the Type-Moon world, a Servant’s actions in the living world required Mana support from their Master.

The higher the Independent Action rank, the less a Servant needed their Master’s Mana support.

Originally, this Passive was useless to Ren.

But now…

[Enhancing Passive: Independent Action (E) requires consuming 2 E-Rank Plot Token and 4000 Myriad Points.] [After enhancement, will gain E-Rank Reiryoku Reserve and Reiatsu Control.

Proceed with enhancement?] Without hesitation, Ren chose to enhance.

E-Rank Reiryoku Reserve and Reiatsu Control weren’t strong, but here was the loophole Ren could exploit.

Other Reincarnators needed to consume Plot Token and Myriad Points to raise their Passive ranks.

Ren didn’t.

He only needed to raise the Gilgamesh Character Template’s level, and the rank of Independent Action would rise along with it, bringing his Reiryoku Reserve and Reiatsu Control with it.

However, this interaction between systems was still subject to structural constraints.

Cross-system scaling was not absolute, and all derived effects depended on the limits of the Gilgamesh template itself.

If Ren remembered correctly, Gilgamesh’s setting had Independent Action’s upper limit at EX-Rank, although EX-Rank across different systems could not be assumed to be identical without verification.

That meant that as long as Ren maxed out the Gilgamesh Character Template, his Reiryoku Reserve and Reiatsu Control would theoretically reach an EX ceiling within this system’s internal framework.

Ren did not yet know how strong such a level would be in practice, and he avoided making direct equivalence comparisons with any specific captain of the Gotei 13.

A faint sense of anticipation rose within him, though it remained restrained by rational caution.

After the enhancement ended, Ren’s eyes lit up.

It wasn’t until this moment that Ren realized, E-Rank Reiatsu Control was not weak at all.

He discovered that E-Rank Reiatsu Control was completely different from what he had imagined.

He had originally thought E-Rank Reiatsu Control was roughly equivalent to an ordinary Shinigami’s level.

He never expected that E-Rank Reiatsu Control actually meant perfect control over an E-Rank amount of Reiryoku.

As everyone knew, Reiryoku was like a Shinigami’s mana pool, and Reiatsu was its output pressure.

This principle was already firmly established in Ren’s understanding and was no longer repeated in his reasoning.

In Ren’s view, what mattered most was precision of control rather than raw quantity, allowing him to surpass others even at equivalent energy levels.

With that thought, Ren was no longer sleepy.

He decided to go test out his new power.

He got up, opened the window, and jumped out from the second floor.

In the past, Ren would have simply fallen.

But now, Ren stood in midair, as if there were an invisible structure beneath his feet.

And in fact, that was exactly the case.

In that instant, as if by instinct, Ren released Reiatsu from his feet to temporarily condense a Reishi platform invisible to ordinary people.

This was a basic skill that allowed Shinigami to walk in the air.

Walking on thin air like this, Ren stepped onto the rooftop.

Then, he extended his right hand, controlled the release of his Reiryoku, and condensed a basketball-sized ball of Reiatsu in his palm.

A faint realization surfaced in Ren’s mind that this level of control felt fundamentally different from anything he had experienced before, as if it bypassed conscious calculation entirely.

Next, Ren began manipulating the Reiatsu ball, making the Reiatsu flow continuously in different directions while constantly compressing it.

Finally, the Reiatsu version of the Rasengan was successfully performed by Ren.

The entire process was incredibly smooth, without a single hiccup.

All thanks to perfect Reiatsu Control.

Besides the Rasengan, Ren also tried a hand-blade version of Ichigo’s Getsuga Tensho and Yusuke Urameshi’s Rei Gun.

Meanwhile, at the Urahara Shop.

Kisuke Urahara, sitting in front of his courtyard, seemed to sense something.

He looked up at the sky.

In his eyes, his usual playful expression faded instantly as he observed extremely faint Reiatsu blades and Reiatsu spheres shooting into the distant sky.

The surrounding Reishi subtly responded to the pressure, though the exact source remained unclear.

He also sensed Ren’s Reiatsu.

Though this Reiatsu wasn’t strong, it felt unfamiliar to him.

His expression involuntarily became serious.

He began speculating who could be so bored late at night as to be releasing Reiatsu all alone.

His first suspect was Sosuke Aizen, although this conclusion was based on instinct rather than evidence.

He murmured to himself, Could Aizen be running some kind of experiment?

Not only Urahara, but Ichigo and Rukia, who was staying at Ichigo’s house, also felt it.

When Ichigo sensed this Reiatsu, his expression changed dramatically.

Rukia also jolted awake from sleep.

She slid open the closet door and walked to the window, her expression extremely solemn.

“Hey, Rukia, you—” Ichigo started to ask something, but Rukia cut him off.

Looking at Ichigo with utmost seriousness, she said, “Ichigo, remember this.

Don’t go anywhere until I come back!” Then, without waiting for Ichigo to respond, Rukia pushed open the window, jumped down from the second floor, and ran quickly toward the direction of the Reiatsu.

Her first thought upon sensing this unfamiliar Reiatsu was…

Soul Society had already made its move.
