Perhaps because he had awakened after five hundred years, Sa Cheon had developed various aftereffects in addition to losing his Martial Arts.
One of those aftereffects was his appetite.
He used to love meat, but now he can barely touch it due to its fishy smell, and with no appetite, he doesn’t eat unless he is truly starving.
The only thing that stimulated his appetite was none other than Seonji Soup (a traditional Korean soup made with coagulated ox blood in a savory broth with vegetables).
Because of that, whenever he left the Martial Arts Hall, he made sure to stop by the Cheonjin First Inn at least once to get Seonji Soup.
“You’re here again.”
As Sa Cheon and Dam Ye-rin entered the inn, the innkeeper, recognizing them again today, guided them to a seat.
Sitting across from Sa Cheon following the proprietress’s guidance, Dam Ye-rin spoke first.
“Were you sitting alone on the beach looking pathetic again today?
Or were you waiting for me to come pick you up?”
“Absolutely not.
Don’t flatter yourself.
Why did you come looking for me again?”
“I just dropped by on my way to an appointment.
I figured you’d be sitting there looking pathetic, despairing over your poor skills again.”
“Is that so?
Then weren’t you the one who wanted to see me, since you personally dropped by on your way to your appointment?”
“I did not, you pervert!”
“What?!
Pervert?”
Sa Cheon suddenly raised his voice.
“Yeah, a narcissistic, psychotic pervert.
I came to see you out of pity, and you’ve been sarcastic this whole time.”
Slam!
Sa Cheon struck the table hard.
“Do you want to die?
And you were the one being sarcastic first!”
“I wasn’t being sarcastic?!
I meant it?!”
“And you are a narcissistic, psychotic pervert.
You are naked in the cave and being narcissistic, thinking you’re a Martial Arts genius when you don’t even know a single Martial Arts technique.
Anyone can see you’re a narcissistic, psychotic pervert, right?”
“How many times do I have to tell you?
There’s a reason you wouldn’t understand.”
Sa Cheon couldn’t tell her the whole truth.
She wouldn’t believe he was from five hundred years ago, and since he had lost his Martial Arts, he had no way to explain himself.
“Right, I’m sure there is.”
At Dam Ye-rin’s teasing tone, Sa Cheon gulped down a cup of water as if his anger were bursting.
Dam Ye-rin giggled as she watched him.
Just then, the innkeeper approached and placed the Seonji Soup on the table.
“Are you two having a lovers’ quarrel again today?
You’re such a handsome man and a beautiful woman, even your fighting is nice to watch.
Hoho.”
At the proprietress’s misunderstanding, Sa Cheon and Dam Ye-rin simultaneously glared and shouted at the innkeeper.
“We are not!”
“We are not!”
“…”
The innkeeper stopped for a moment, perhaps startled, and blinked her round eyes as she looked at the two.
A brief silence flowed…
Realizing her rudeness from the proprietress’s reaction, Dam Ye-rin apologized first.
