The sound of fighting exploded in her ears. Nan Fei opened her eyes, only to be stunned by the scene before her.

It wasn’t the group fight she had imagined.

Instead, several young people were using supernatural abilities to violently beat monsters.

Yes—monsters.

Nan Fei shifted her gaze to the humanoid figures covered in bruises and purple-black marks. Their muscles were grotesquely swollen like small hills, veins bulging across their arms, and their hands ended in sharp, gray, elongated claws.

But what stood out the most were their dull, unfocused eyes—showing only white.

Could they even see?

A question surfaced in Nan Fei’s mind.

But before she could think further, one of the monsters broke free from the young people’s attacks and charged straight toward her.

“Ah!”

A sharp female scream rang out behind her.

Nan Fei turned slightly, only managing to catch a glimpse of a light purple top.

A girl’s hand landed on her back and shoved her hard.

The massive force made her lose balance, sending her straight toward the monster.

They were too close. She could even see the monster’s gaping mouth—its sharp, bone-white teeth, and bits of torn flesh stuck between them.

Eating raw meat?

Nan Fei felt a flicker of surprise, but her face remained calm. In the instant she was about to collide with the monster, she twisted her body sideways, using its forward momentum, and kicked out.

The monster was sent flying, crashing directly toward the girl who had pushed her.

“Ah—!”

The girl screamed again. This time, it was far more genuine than the earlier sound meant to draw Nan Fei’s attention. She screamed while quickly dodging the monster.

“Nan Fei! What are you doing!”

A girl in a red dress was drawn over by the commotion. Seeing that the other girl wasn’t injured, she turned and glared angrily at Nan Fei.

The usually pampered young lady did not respond with her usual shouting and tantrums after being scolded.

Her striking face remained expressionless as she looked at them coldly, as if watching an uninteresting clown show.

Instantly, the red-dressed girl’s anger surged. She stomped over in her small heels and grabbed for Nan Fei’s slender wrist.

Nan Fei noticed her long, sharp, manicured nails.

“Slap!”

A crisp sound rang out as Nan Fei smacked her hand away.

“You actually hit me!”

The girl recoiled in pain, staring at her reddened hand in disbelief.

Nan Fei ignored her and walked toward the girl who had pushed her, who was hesitating and not daring to come closer.

“You!”

The red-dressed girl tried to stop her, but couldn’t even touch Nan Fei’s clothes.

A flash of panic appeared in the pusher girl’s eyes.

Nan Fei… she felt different from before.

Despite her thoughts, she quickly forced a gentle smile when Nan Fei approached.

“Feifei, I know you didn’t do it on purpose.”

Nan Fei remained cold. Her indifferent gaze swept over the girl.

In the next moment, she suddenly moved.

She grabbed the girl’s arm, executed a clean shoulder throw, and slammed her to the ground.

“Ah!”

The girl hadn’t even reacted before pain exploded in her backside.

Lying on the ground, she looked up at Nan Fei’s face. Fear and panic surged in her heart as things spiraled out of control.

Nan Fei… since when did she change her moves? Wasn’t she always the type to slap people?

Despite her thoughts, she quickly began crying.

A beautiful woman crying silently was always pitiful.

The red-dressed girl reacted first and rushed to help her up.

“Wen Qian, are you okay?”

“I’m fine.”

The girl shook her head, but tears kept falling uncontrollably down her cheeks.

Nan Fei stood across from them. From her angle, she clearly saw the “pitiful” girl exchange a look with the red-dressed girl—and, while still crying, flash a calculating smile toward her.

Zhou Wenqian’s lips moved slightly behind the red-dressed girl’s cover.

“No one will believe you.”

Nan Fei understood the lip movement.

She raised an eyebrow slightly.

Then she stepped forward.

“What are you going to do?”

The red-dressed girl immediately became wary, though her eyes still held provocation.

Nan Fei ignored her and forcefully pulled her aside.

Zhou Wenqian was exposed to everyone’s view, still wearing her fragile, pitiful expression.

“Didn’t you say no one would believe me? Then I’ll take good care of you.”

Her tone was calm, completely different from what they expected.

Zhou Wenqian felt danger and instinctively stepped back—but Nan Fei grabbed her collar.

“Boom!”

Not a slap as expected—but a solid punch to her shoulder.

Zhou Wenqian suppressed a cry of pain and looked toward the others for help.

“If you harm others, you should be prepared to be retaliated against.”

Nan Fei’s voice was flat.

Zhou Wenqian looked at the ruthlessness in her eyes and suddenly realized—she was done for.

“Hel—”

Before she could finish, another punch landed on her face.

In the span of everyone rushing over, Nan Fei threw dozens of punches, beating her face until it was bruised and swollen.

“Nan Fei, have you lost your mind!”

Someone tried to pull her away, but Nan Fei dodged and threw Zhou Wenqian aside like trash.

“She harmed someone first,” Nan Fei said calmly.

As expected, no one believed her.

Their gazes turned to her like she was something filthy.

A man at the front, handsome with sharp and refined features, frowned deeply.

“You say she pushed you toward the zombies—where’s the evidence?”

Nan Fei noticed the key word.

Zombies.

She suppressed her thoughts and calmly met his gaze.

“Do you see the blood on my body? What else would cause this pattern besides being directly pushed into a zombie?”

She lifted the hem of her dress.

Her loose white dress now had a bloodstain across the center and right side—lighter in the middle, darker on the right, clearly caused by turning sideways while dodging.

The crowd’s mockery shifted.

If she hadn’t been pushed, given the zombies’ slow, almost 0.5-speed movement, she would have easily avoided them. She wouldn’t have been splattered with this much blood.

Unless she had willingly gone close to them…

The evidence was so clear that no one could refute it anymore. All eyes turned to Zhou Wenqian.
