“What happened to him?” Ryan asked.

“Sophia is your friend, and you still don’t know what she’s going through?” his grandmother asked in disbelief.

Ryan fell silent for a moment before replying, “Actually, she didn’t come to the university today, so I don’t know anything.” “The last time I saw her was at the pool party last night, and she seemed completely fine then.” Although Ryan was making an excuse, it wasn’t entirely a lie.Full novel: Bound to My Bully — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The last time they had seen each other was at the pool party, and at that time, even Sophia didn’t know about her father’s condition.

His explanation seemed to satisfy his grandmother.

She slowly nodded.

Silence filled the room for a few seconds.

“Her father has been admitted to the hospital.

They desperately need money for his surgery,” she said, sympathy evident in her voice.

“Oh…” Ryan murmured.

Seeing him remain quiet, she continued, “I don’t know exactly what happened to her father, or even how much money they need.

But I really want to help them.” “She once saved my life.

Now it’s my turn to help someone she loves.” Ryan listened quietly.

Outwardly, his expression remained calm.

But inside, an entirely different thought crossed his mind.

A perfect opportunity…

He finally had the opportunity he had been waiting for.

“Yes,” Ryan said with a faint smile.

“I think we should help her.” His grandmother smiled warmly, unaware of the thoughts hidden behind his calm expression.

“But how can we help her if we don’t know what happened to her father or how much money they need?” Ryan asked.

“I’ve sent Daniel to find that out,” his grandmother replied.

“He’ll talk to the doctor and let us know.” Daniel was a middle-aged man whom Richard Cole, Ryan’s grandfather, had appointed to ensure Evelyn’s safety.

Daniel had been by Evelyn’s side for years.

Over time, he had become more than just a bodyguard—he was like a son to her.

A few moments later, Daniel returned.

“Mrs.

Cole,” Daniel said.

Evelyn immediately turned toward him.

“Did you find out everything, Daniel?” she asked.

Daniel nodded.

“Yes.” “Sophia’s father has severe arterial disease and needs urgent surgery.” “The surgery will cost around two hundred thousand dollars.” After a brief pause, he added…

“The family’s business has been suffering heavy losses, so an amount like that is far beyond what they can afford.” Daniel fell silent for a moment before asking, “May I ask you something?” Evelyn nodded.

“Of course.” “Why didn’t you ask Sophia directly how much money she needed?” Evelyn remained silent for a few seconds.

She let out a quiet sigh before replying, “I didn’t want to embarrass Sophia by asking her about the money.” “And I’m not even sure she would accept it if I offered it to her directly.” “How about this?” she said.

“I’ll give the money to you, and you can give it to Sophia.” Evelyn looked at Ryan hopefully.

“You’re her friend.

She might accept it from you.” Ryan remained silent.

After a long moment, a faint smile appeared on his lips.

“Alright, Grandma.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Mahekstories Thank you for reading Bound to My Bully.
