Aurora POV

“Aurora.” I heard Orion whisper so softly and smoothly in my ear that it made me release a shuddered breath. “Tell me what you want,” he murmured, nipping my ear sensually.

“I-I...” I stuttered, my throat bobbing with desire as I opened my legs wider.Full novel: Bred By The Boulderback Alpha — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Orion smirked, his body hovering over mine, his hands touching yet not touching me where I wanted. But he still wasn’t doing it. Fuck! My head dropped back.

“I-I want—” I breathed out, trying to raise my hips for friction, but he pinned me with a gaze.

“Say it,” he ordered.

I swallowed. “I want you to fuck me,” I mumbled, and a shit-eating grin took over his face.

“Gladly,” he said, as his finger moved toward me to relieve the ache between my legs.

A loud, shrill sound jolted me from the dream as I rolled off the bed, falling with a loud thud on the ground.

“Ah!” A painful moan escaped my mouth as I groaned, my heart beating loudly. I held my head while blood rushed through my body from the dream, and I quickly wiped the drool from my lips.

What was that?! I blinked, wetting my lower lip.

Fuck! It was like yesterday’s kiss had triggered me.

I stood up slowly, feeling my legs wobble as I felt my hardened nipple brushed against my clothes. My thighs were drenched, and I covered my face in mortification.

God! I couldn’t believe I had a dream like that. God, I’ve tainted Orion’s memory.

My throat bobbed as I rushed to the bathroom, still feeling a tingling between my legs. I couldn’t give the thought a chance to linger. I had sexually assaulted Orion in my dream by dreaming of him, and now I couldn’t continue with this daydream.

After going to the bathroom, my eyes caught my reflection in the mirror, and I realized the blonde in my hair was 90% gone, and my black hair was showing. I smiled. There was no need for me to dye it again. I hated the colour, but Knox loved it and told me it fit me better than my black hair.

I shivered, thinking back to Knox, because him seeing one black strand in my hair could piss him off.

But now, I was getting myself back. My pale gray eyes were bright, with a twinkle in them. The last time my eyes had shone with happiness, they had always been dull and empty. My round cheeks were rosy from the aftereffects of the dream. I removed my shirt and looked at my body, smiling as my hand trailed to my arm, chest, and rounded stomach. I’ve come a long way.

I smirked, jiggled my stomach, and saw it shake.

I laughed and walked into the shower, turning it on. Warm water cascaded over me, and I screamed before switching it to normal. I shivered, reaching for the gel to begin my bathing ritual.

After bathing, I walked out of my room naked, with water droplets on my body. I went to the shelf and did my normal morning routine of taking care of myself. I checked myself in the mirror again and smiled, liking what I saw. Then I closed the room door behind me. I walked gingerly down the stairs, looking around and realizing the house was empty.

I didn’t understand why, but my heart fell because I had been waiting to see Orion this morning. However, he had gone out, even though he had promised to handle alpha duties. I shrugged and went to the kitchen, where I found a note and a packed box on the counter.

“I’m so sorry for yesterday. I hope this can placate it.”

His writing was cursive and easy to read. It was just like the owner.

A smile found its way to my lips. I folded the note like a treasure, but I thought it was better not to see him now because I didn’t know how to behave seeing the man of my dream staring at me this morning. My face reddened instantly as I swallowed before digging into my breakfast.

After clearing my plate, I walked around the room for some hours, or maybe minutes, passing the time until Roland came. I perched on the couch, reading a nonfiction book I found while looking around.

I had my nose buried in the book, with sleepy eyes from reading just two pages, when I heard the front door knock. I stood up, closed the book, and placed it on the table, then stretched my stiff muscles. Kudos to people who read nonfiction because what the fuck was interesting in it? So boring.

I went to the door, opening it to see Roland in a white-sleeved sweatshirt and grey shorts. Her hair was in a brown pixie cut, and she had a septum piercing on her nose. I looked at her, then at her tattooed hands. She was masculine, beautiful, and looked like a total heartbreaker. If I swung the other way, I’d surely bark at altar.

All women are beautiful in nature. Then I remembered Josephine and scrunched my nose in displeasure, but attitude and a horrible personality made some ugly.

I pulled back from my thoughts and smiled warmly at her, opening the door wider for her to enter.

“Luna,” she greeted, and my eyes widened at the title.

Luna?

“What do you mean?” I spluttered in shock. “I’m Aurora,” I quickly said.

“I can’t call you that...”

“Please do,” I muttered. “I’m not yet comfortable with it.” I spoke through gritted teeth, not in anger but in embarrassment.

“Okay, if you say so.” She smirked.

“Thank you,” I muttered, releasing a relieved sigh. That was when I noticed there was a small girl behind her, shyly standing behind Roland.

I tilted my head to look at the girl. She couldn’t have been over five years old. She had brown hair braided into two sections, a blue flared dress, and white sandals. She was cute.

“I hope you don’t mind me bringing my daughter,” Roland said, and I stared at her.

A daughter. She didn’t look a bit like a mother. She was a baddie.

“No, I don’t.” I shook my head, then bent to the girl’s level. “What’s your name, princess?” I asked softly.

The girl put her hands on mine, and I smiled, remembering my younger siblings. Maybe I should call my parents later, I thought.

“Jasmine,” she responded.

“Like Princess Jasmine?” I asked, and Jasmine grinned cheekily.

We left the house together and took a cab. Not to be stupid, I didn’t expect to see a cab in the neighborhood because, the last time Orion took me for a tour, I didn’t see any means of transportation, and I thought maybe the town was outdated. Imagine my shock when I saw a cab that Roland had called to take us out of the town.

When we reached the store, the attendant came to us and ushered us inside as we were asked which clothes and body size we wanted, and Roland pointed to me. I saw the attendant freeze before putting on a professional smile. I understood the look. It was always rare to see clothes in my size sometimes; most stores did not have them.

But to my shock, they had many in this store because most of the clothes Knox got for me were from my work as a plus-size model. Everything was custom-made by the company I was representing.

After shopping for clothes, we walked to the footwear section and then to other necessities. While I was panicking about spending too much, Roland told me not to worry because the alpha would be happy with me spending.

Throughout our shopping, Roland and I made small talk. She complimented my dress, gave me clothes she thought would fit me, and talked about colours that would go with my skin tone. She even asked if I wanted to dye my hair, saying she could take me to a salon, but I shook my head and said I was leaving my natural hair colour. She nodded in understanding.

As Roland tried to rein her daughter in from jumping around and touching everything and anything while asking a series of questions, curiosity brimming in her eyes and voice, I smiled.

“It has been a long time since I brought her out,” she said, and I nodded.

“It’s okay. Let her explore,” I said as we walked out of the café where we bought pastries.

The cab that took us out came after waiting for hours. We entered, and Roland chided the man for delaying us, while the man apologized. I nibbled on my doughnut, and Jasmine was already asleep.

As we were getting down from the cab, Jasmine rubbed her eyes tiredly. I noticed motorcycles driving faster past us, and I moved to the side.

How do they drive like that in the neighborhood? I thought.

“Oh, I see there’s a race tonight,” Roland mumbled, and I stared at her.

“Race?” I blinked.

She nodded absentmindedly before tilting her head, looking shocked. “Alpha didn’t tell you?”

I shook my head, looking conf used, as if there was something I was missing.

And she smiled, looking mischievous. “Let’s go.”

She grabbed my hand.
