They all knew the truth.

They were going to die.

Behind them, Sarah still tried to heal everyone through sheer willpower.Full novel: Calamity Through My Eyes — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

But her skill eventually faded as well.

She no longer had enough mana.

Then, all at once…Nine…

ten…

eleven hyenas leaped toward them together.

The group could do nothing.

Their bodies refused to move.

All they could do was wait for death…Yet even then they still couldn’t accept it.

“Why?

Why do we have to die like this inside a B-rank vortex?” Just when everyone thought they were going to die for sure…

a cold voice suddenly echoed from behind them.

“Flowing River Sword Technique…

Third Form” “Sea King’s Wrath!” A terrifying sword wave surged forward from behind the group.

Like a raging sea, wave after wave swept across the battlefield.

The sword aura surrounded everyone before crashing into the thirty-plus monsters with unstoppable force…

BOOM!

The desert trembled like a sea.

Lisa and the others were left dumbfounded.

They immediately turned around to see who was the one who orchestrated that terrifying sword move just now…

This sword technique alone was approaching the level of an S-rank skill.

Even some Initial S-rank Sires wouldn’t dare to take such a move head-on.

Lisa swallowed nervously.

Her beautiful eyes trembled in shock.

Gorgon and the others suddenly remembered the monsters and quickly looked forward again.

The sight before them made their entire bodies freeze.

A chilly current ran down their spines.

All the monsters were dead.

Not a single Desert Hyena remained alive anymore.

Only their corpses and carcasses were scattered across the sand.

The desert also turned back to calm once again…

SIIING!

Aron calmly sheathed his sword.

At the same moment, a familiar notification rang out in his mind.

[Ding!] [Congratulations, Host, for killing 32 B-Rank Desert Hyenas.] [However, the monsters were already injured beforehand.

Therefore, only 320 Attribute Points will be awarded.] Aron nodded.

Then he calmly said, “System, allocate 60 points to each of my stats.” A surge of power instantly flowed through his body.

The energy rushed through his meridians and every part of his physique.

Aron felt incredible.

His strength had increased once again.

Now he had reached the peak of his current realm.

A Peak A-rank powerhouse.

The little skeleton immediately turned toward him.

Its eye flames flickered.

Once again, it had witnessed Aron’s strength increase for no apparent reason.

Yet this time, it didn’t say anything.

It already knew the answer.

No matter how many times it asked, its master would never reveal how he was increasing his stats so quickly.

Aron walked toward the group and waved his hand.

Six pills appeared in his palm from the System Space.

The little skeleton on his shoulder immediately stood up.

Its flamy eyes were fixed on the pills.

‘What is Master trying to do?’ ‘Is he really going to give such precious medicine to these fools?’ Before the skeleton could say anything, Aron flicked his wrist.

The next moment, a pill appeared in front of each of the six stunned Sires.

“Take these first,” Aron said calmly.

“Then I want to talk to you guys.” Everyone gulped.

They had no idea what kind of medicine these pills were.

However, after witnessing Aron’s terrifying strength, none of them dared to refuse at all.

They immediately swallowed the pills.

The little skeleton grabbed its skull and started fake crying.

“Nooooo!

Master!” “Why did you give such precious medicine to these fools?!” Aron chuckled at his little skeleton.

He tapped the skeleton’s head and said, “Stop embarrassing yourself.” “I’ll give you some more later.” The skeleton’s eye flames immediately brightened.

It instantly sat back down on Aron’s shoulder, looking completely satisfied.

On the other side, the six Sires were completely dumbfounded.

The moment the pills entered their bodies, a warm energy spread through every part of them.

Their injuries healed at a visible speed.

Cuts disappeared, bruises on their bodies faded.

Even their severe wounds closed completely.

Most unbelievable of all, their mana reserves and physical stamina recovered to peak condition.

Cedric stared at his hands and stammered, “W-What…?” “What did we just eat?” Sarah immediately answered with a trembling voice, “A miracle medicine…” “That was a miracle medicine.” Gorgon, Lisa, Rob, and Myra didn’t know what to say.

They had never seen or even heard of a medicine with such terrifying effects.

All they could do was stare at their bodies in disbelief.

A few moments ago, they had been on the verge of death.

Now, they had returned to perfect condition as if the battle had never happened at all.

Aron smiled at them.

“Now that you’ve all recovered, tell me.

What exactly did you see inside this vortex?” Gorgon gulped, he exchanged glances with the others before standing up.

The rest of them also followed him and stood up…

Then, all six of them bowed toward Aron at the same time.

“Thank you for saving us, sir.” Aron immediately felt embarrassed.

He waved his hands frantically.

“No, no.

I’m just a student at Archeon Academy.” “Tomorrow is my National Exam.

I came here to train and happened to discover this vortex, so I entered it.” He scratched his cheek awkwardly, “You don’t need to thank me.

Helping people is part of my duty.” Everyone was stunned once again.

” A student?

” That meant he was only around twenty-two or twenty-three years old, yet his swordsmanship had already reached such a terrifying level.

What the hell?

‘Had he started practicing the sword while still in his mother’s womb?’ Lisa couldn’t help but think in her head…Her lips also twitched a little, comparing herself to this unknown guy.

Then her eyes landed on the little skeleton floating above Aron’s shoulder.

Her expression changed instantly.

She pointed at it with her trembling finger, while her eyes was widened in disbelief….

“Y-You…” “You’re an Assistant!” Everyone’s eyes also immediately shifted toward the skeleton.

Then they looked back at Aron in confusion.

They all knew one thing.

Assistants couldn’t leave the sphere of influence of the Pillar of Light.

At least, that was common knowledge.

So how had this Assistant entered a vortex alongside its master?

The little skeleton folded its arms and sneered.

“What?” “Never seen an Assistant before?” Lisa stammered, “N-No…

That’s not it…” “How are you still here with this sir?” The skeleton rolled its eyes.

“Damn idiots.” Then it turned its face away without giving them any answer.

Aron coughed awkwardly, “Actually, that’s a myth.” Everyone looked at him…

“The idea that Assistants can’t leave the influence of the Pillar of Light is completely wrong.” “They can follow their masters anywhere.” “They can hear your summons and come to you whenever they want.” “They simply choose not to most of the time because they don’t want to waste their energy.” The group looked more confused.

This was the first time they had ever heard of such information.

After Aron finished speaking, the little skeleton rubbed its fingers together.

A strange energy spread outward, and then something incredible happened.

The next moment…One by one, small figures appeared beside everyone.

As if they were sucked out from an unknown space.

Their Assistants.

Lisa stared at the tiny sword master that had appeared on her shoulder.

Her eyes widened once again.

After meeting this unknown person, everything around them, turned absolutely unbelievable.

The continuous shock, made her mind completely numb…

But the little sword master and other assistants weren’t looking at her.

Instead, they were staring directly at the skeleton.

Their expressions were unusually grim.

They could clearly sense the immense amount of energy contained within the skeleton’s body.

An amount that shouldn’t have been possible.

If they fought right now, the result is absolutely clear in front of their eyes.

They would lose, and lose miserably.

They immediately looked toward the person who should be the master of this powerful assistant, and the next moment their eyes changed several times before they sighed…

They actually couldn’t see through this person at all.Maybe the assistant had blocked his details for good…

After a few moments of silence, they disappeared one after another muttering something to their masters.

Only Sarah’s little fairy remained for a brief second…

It leaned close to her ear and whispered, “He is not simple.” “Neither is his Assistant.” “Try to make friends with them and remember, never make him your enemy.

Never!” Then it also vanished as well like other assistants.

Aron stood there dumbfounded, blinking repeatedly.

His mouth hung slightly open as he tried to process what had just happened.

He immediately turned toward the skeleton, “What did you just do?” The skeleton chuckled proudly.

“Master, I only used a tiny fraction of the energy I gained from the pill you gave me.” “I forcefully summoned their Assistants here.” “They couldn’t resist me or win against me, if we fight…” “Hehe.” “That’s why they all disappeared without saying much.” Aron was left speechless.

This little skeleton…Had it become stronger?

Could Assistants level up too?

It was the first time he had ever heard of such a thing.

Even in his previous life, he had never encountered any information about Assistants growing stronger.

The group was equally shocked.

They unconsciously took a step back and looked at the little skeleton with caution.

Lisa gulped down her saliva.

Just before disappearing, her sword master had sent her a warning, “Be careful of that skeleton, it is incredibly powerful.” They all felt the pressure now.

But Aron wanted to know exactly what had happened to them after they entered the vortex.

Scratching his head awkwardly, he said, “Um…

everyone, I know all of this is pretty shocking.” “But could you tell me what happened after you entered this vortex?” The group exchanged glances before sighing.

They remembered that Aron was still here.

And with him present, his Assistant wouldn’t do anything to them.
