The sound of the celestial gold fracturing was like a dying star collapsing in on itself.

The Chains of Heaven, forged to bind the divine, were groaning under an impossible strain.

Golden light bled from the hairline fractures as Thor roared.Full novel: Campione: I Stole the Golden King’s Treasury — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The Belt of Strength, Megingjörð, pulsed with the terrifying heat of a cosmic forge.

Thor was no longer just channeling magic; he was defying the conceptual laws of reality through sheer, unadulterated physical force.

The sound of celestial gold shattering didn’t just ring out—it hurt, like a dying star’s last gasp.

The Chains of Heaven, meant for gods alone, strained and cracked, trailing streams of golden light while Thor roared like the birth of a world.

With a second, earth-splitting roar, Thor tore his arms apart and the unbreakable chains erupted.

Golden fragments whipped away, lost in the downpour.

The force slammed through the square and old buildings crumbled into dust.

At ground zero, Thor stood tall, wild grin cutting across his beard, the picture of raw, wild freedom.

“Magnificent!” he thundered, spinning Mjölnir overhead and glaring at the storm-churned sky.

“No more tricks, Godslayer I am the storm that breaks the world!” Overhead, the clouds didn’t just threaten—they caved.

They swirled into Mjölnir, the whole sky funneled into Thor’s grip.

The air got so thick with power it stung your tongue, like biting a battery.

He was calling down a storm that wouldn’t just erase Ren, but this whole chunk of France.

Nothing here could stop him now.

The authorities, their weapons, physics itself—none of it meant anything to a god who refused the rules.

And if there was no rule left for the world to enforce, Ren needed something older—something that never belonged here anyway.

Ren raised his right hand.

Slowly, he opened his palm A small golden key flickered into existence, ancient and thin, red runes pulsing along its side.

The Key of the King’s Law.

Older than myth, with the authority to open what should stay sealed.

Ren said softly.

“Let us see how you fare against this thing Ren inserted the key into the empty air.

Click.

Small, almost nothing, but it rattled straight through the bones.

The whole world just… paused.

Rain froze in midair, every droplet shimmering like cut glass.

Lightning shivered around Mjölnir, stopped in its tracks, blue shards caught in time.

The wind vanished.

Even the planet seemed unsure, holding its breath with everything else.

From the tip of the golden key, glowing red circuits expanded outward, forming a massive, three-dimensional lock of ancient light in the air.

As the lock disengaged, the fabric of reality behind it didn’t just open—it shattered.Black cracks raced through the sky—a sound so sharp you’d swear the universe itself just splintered.

From the dark, something old pushed forward—something that didn’t belong.

Ren reached into the dripping void and gripped a golden hilt.

He pulled.

Slow, steady.

The weapon crept into the world.

A golden guard, and for the blade—a black cylinder, three impossible segments spinning and glowing with angry red runes.

Ea.

The Sword of Rupture.

As soon as the blade cleared the dark, the world kicked back to life—and it screamed.

The very air strained against Ren and what he now held.

The Thunder God looked up.

He didn’t feel fear.

Gods of war did not know fear.

But as Thor stared at the slowly rotating black cylinder, his glowing electric eyes widened in profound, transcendent awe.

Thor had fought the World Serpent, clashed with Frost Giants.

All of that still belonged to the world.

But this sword wasn’t just a weapon—it was a concept.

The first zero.

The original edge.

And for a beat, after all his battles, Thor just lived for this.

“A truth older than dawn!” he shouted, overjoyed, almost singing.

“Yes!

Give me the end of all things!” He shot skyward, Mjölnir buzzing with thunder, pouring everything he was—wrath, storm, life—into a single, blinding crash, aimed straight at Ren.

The world’s edge blurred away in white and lightning.

Ren’s eyes burned black.

No kindness left.

“Wake up,” he said.

Ea spun—three pieces grinding together with a roar like continents shifting.

Red wind screamed from the blade, carving the sky, turning destruction into a ballet over the ruins.

“Enuma Elish.” Ren swung.

No flashy beam—just absence.

The world tore.

A swirling emptiness, burning red, rushed out as Thor’s storm hit.

In one heartbeat, it was over—every last thing swallowed.

Thor kept his eyes wide open as the void closed in.

His armor and flesh went first, followed by belt, hammer—no mere destruction.

This was erasure.

Undoing.

The space Thor occupied folded over and there was nothing left behind.

“A GLORIOUS DEATH!” Thor shouted, legs braced, thrilled, as the darkness devoured him whole.

The vortex ripped a hole in the sky, pulled in the storm, then vanished like it had never been.

Blue light broke across the mangled ground.

Quiet returned to the wasteland.

Ren floated down, the sword still humming as the segments slowed and stilled.

He locked it away, slipped the golden key from the air, and just stood there.

Only Ren was left, at the bottom of a glassy crater.

Thor was gone.

He looked down.

A burnt, busted fragment of bakery sign leaned in the ash.

He let out a heavy breath.

“I really wanted that pastry,” he muttered.
