Shе tооk а fеw hеаvy brеaths tо сalm down, waited hаlf a minutе to mаkе surе nо one еlse was соming, thеn shоt Mо Tingуan a glаrе thrоugh grittеd tеeth, lоwering her voiсе аs shе sаid, “I’ll go cheсk if аnуonе’s outsidе. If it’s cleаr, уоu сan leаvе.”

With that, she quiсkly straightеnеd hеr сlothеs аnd stepped out of the smаll cubiсlе first.

Вut shе hаdn’t takеn more than twо steрs when shе ran hеadlong into Yan Duo, who was jogging toward her—

Wen Zhi froze for a moment, only to see Yan Duo gesture for silence, pulling her into the nearest cubicle and whispering into her ear, “I came to watch the show. Someone just said there were strange sounds of a man and woman getting intimate in the women’s restroom…”

Wen Zhi tensed up. She naturally understood what Yan Duo meant.

Earlier, despite her repeated efforts to restrain herself, the sounds of their entangled lips and tongues had still… been overheard.

Keeping her expression neutral, she feigned calm and spoke in a normal volume, “I heard it too, but you’re too late. The two of them left half a minute ago.”

Yan Duo immediately resumed her normal volume, her face full of gossip as she asked, “Did you see who it was?”

Wen Zhi shook her head, stepped out of the cubicle, and walked out with a composed expression.

Yan Duo followed behind her, looking regretful as she analyzed, “It must be a crew with a flight coming up… Ah, what a juicy drama I missed!”

Wen Zhi thought to herself, Thank goodness Yan Duo is all talk and no brains.

While listening to Yan Duo’s chatter, she discreetly took out her phone, avoiding the other’s line of sight, and sent a message to Mo Tingyan—

【It’s clear now, come out quickly.】

…

A few minutes later, the group boarded the shuttle bus together and headed to the plane to conduct safety checks and preparations before passenger boarding.

Mo Tingyan went to the cockpit, while Wen Zhi busied herself alongside the cabin crew.

As she was counting items at the workstation, a solid, broad chest suddenly pressed against her back.

The moment she turned her head, the person behind her gently rubbed his leg against the inside of her thigh.

Wen Zhi’s heart nearly leaped out of her chest in panic!

Instinctively, she clenched her legs together and glanced outside.

Fortunately, everyone was busy at the moment, and no one noticed them.

She turned her head and glared at the man, mouthing silently, “Go away.”

She had made up her mind: she absolutely could not be on the same flight as Mo Tingyan again. This man was too reckless!

But Mo Tingyan paid no heed, leaning forward until his forehead rested against the back of her head, lowering his voice as he said, “This position… is really nice. Want to try it tomorrow night when we get back?”

Wen Zhi gritted her teeth and whispered sharply, “Get away from me now.”

“Will you agree or not?”

Just then, Yan Duo, who had been facing away from the two of them, suddenly paused as if about to turn around…

Wen Zhi was on edge, quickly elbowing Mo Tingyan from behind. “I agree, now move away.”

A triumphant smile played on Mo Tingyan’s lips as he distanced himself from Wen Zhi.

The moment the two separated, Yan Duo looked over.

Seeing Captain Mo standing behind Wen Zhi, she exclaimed in surprise, “Huh? Captain Mo, what are you doing out here?”

Still tense, Wen Zhi subtly shifted a step to the side, putting distance between herself and Mo Tingyan, pretending to be fully focused on her inventory.Mo Tingyan looked at the woman’s ‘dead serious’ expression, the corners of his lips curving into a pleasant arc as he said to Yan Duo, “Come get me a cup of coffee.”

Wen Zhi understood his meaning and immediately poured him a cup of coffee… Moments later, watching the formidable figure carry his coffee back into the cockpit, she finally let out a long sigh of relief.

That was truly insane!

After the preparations, passengers began boarding one after another. This time, there was a notorious blacklisted passenger in the rear cabin, infamous for a 100% complaint rate, and all the flight attendants were on high alert.

Meanwhile, Wen Zhi was busy in the work area when she heard commotion coming from the rear passenger section.

It turned out the blacklisted passenger had tried to touch the hand of the third flight attendant. When she refused, he threatened to file a complaint.

A call came from the front cabin. Wen Zhi answered, hearing the purser’s stern voice on the other end: “Don’t let the passenger keep causing trouble in the rear cabin. Go calm him down and handle it immediately.”

As this was a work assignment, Wen Zhi did not refuse.

Wearing a professional smile, she walked up to the blacklisted passenger and nodded politely. “Hello, sir. I’m happy to assist you. Is there anything I can help you with?”

When the man saw Wen Zhi’s face, his eyebrows instinctively raised slightly.

Then, he patted his own thigh.

The meaning… was obvious.

I want to take advantage of you. If you don’t let me, I’ll file a complaint against you!

Watching his gesture, Wen Zhi pressed her lips together and chuckled softly. “Understood, sir. Please wait a moment.”

With that, she calmly turned and led the third flight attendant back behind the curtain.

Not long after, Wen Zhi returned to the man, holding a towel in one hand and a cup of warm water in the other. Her signature smile still in place, she played dumb with full awareness: “Hello, sir. Here is the blanket you requested. Let me help you cover up. Also, I noticed you might have had a bit to drink. I’ve heard from my husband, who is a police officer, that sugar water can help sober you up and soothe your stomach, so I brought you a cup as well. Is there anything else you need?”

Upon hearing the words “my husband, who is a police officer,” the man’s expression darkened. Ultimately losing interest, he yanked the blanket over himself, closed his eyes, and pretended to sleep.

Wen Zhi stood up and calmly returned to the rear cabin.

As she inadvertently glanced toward the front cabin, her gaze met Mo Tingyan’s deep, probing eyes across the long aisle…

Weren’t they about to take off? Why was he still out here?

She didn’t dwell on it, shifting her gaze away and returning to the rear cabin work area.

Meanwhile, the purser, seeing the situation resolved, turned around and was startled to find Mo Tingyan standing behind her at some unknown moment.

“Captain Mo? Is there something you need?”

Mo Tingyan’s eyes were dark and unfathomable. When he had stepped out earlier, he had overheard the purser telling a front cabin flight attendant: “Anyway, Wen Zhi isn’t one of our people. Let her handle this messy situation.”

Now, he chuckled lightly, the corners of his lips still curved in that casual, indifferent arc. “Came out to refill my coffee and caught a bit of a show along the way.”

The purser didn’t think much of it and was about to say something when Mo Tingyan continued in his unhurried tone, “However… on Xu Purser’s watch, you actually needed to rely on a borrowed flight attendant to handle a crisis. It seems Xu Purser’s and your team’s capabilities warrant some scrutiny. I’ll have to consider my choices carefully.”

With that, not giving the other party a chance to argue, he flashed his usual smile and returned to the cockpit, leaving Xu Purser standing there feeling as if she were sitting on pins and needles. After all, this was the first time working with the new captain—who knew if he would make things difficult or turn out to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing?

The flight consisted of four legs in total and concluded smoothly.

By the time they returned to Jiangcheng, it was already the afternoon of the following day. After Wen Zhi submitted some documents at the Jianghang Airlines office building and was about to head home, she spotted someone she absolutely did not want to see in the spacious first-floor lobby—Mo Tingjue.

A cold indifference settled between Wen Zhi’s brows. Just then, the captain’s office door opened, and Mo Tingyan stepped out. Through the bright, open space, his gaze immediately fell upon the man downstairs.

In the next moment, an intense, icy chill flashed in Mo Tingyan’s eyes—
