Blinc’s clothes had changed.
He now wore a long white jacket with blue printed strips, a black T-shirt underneath, white pants, and black gloves.
Some of his hair fell over his eyes, which were tied back.
Two long blades hung at his waist.
His eyes were completely blue — the white parts gone.
This time, they were not glowing.
Blinc looked at his hands.
Everything looked normal, but his eyes were still solid blue.
“What the hell is going on?” he whispered to himself.
“I feel very light… extremely light.
But something strange is also happening.” He looked down at his black shoes, pants, and jacket.
“How did my clothes change?
The pain is completely gone.
I feel fine.” He paused.
“I’ve felt this before… but this time it’s different.” “I can see far away.
I can even hear Zander’s breathing… and Tom’s heartbeat.” He touched the blades on both sides of his waist, then pulled the right one free and held it in front of his face.
“It’s very thin, but the edge is extremely sharp,” he muttered.
He looked up and saw Alena standing again.
“Now it will be fun,” Alena said with a terrifying smile.
She moved her hand.
Several stones appeared around her.
One stone floated between her fingers and began to rotate.
It slowly started glowing, then fired a laser straight at Blinc.
Blinc flinched.
His eyes widened.
He jerked back a step, shoulders tense, breath caught in his throat.
He raised the blade and struck the laser.
The beam split into many pieces, like a broken reflection.
One of the reflected beams hit a pillar of the giant wheel.
The iron melted instantly.
One side of the giant wheel began to collapse toward Blinc and Alena.
Inside the cabin, everyone screamed.
Alena’s eyes narrowed.
Her jaw clenched.
“Get her,” she whispered slowly.
Blinc heard her.
Both of them looked sideways as the giant wheel came crashing down.
Alena stopped the laser.
The stones around her turned to dust, covering her completely.
She disappeared into the dust.
The giant wheel kept falling.
Everyone’s eyes widened as they screamed — except Tom and Bruce.
Their eyes were narrowed, jaws clenched.
Blinc stood still, looking up at them.
Then he let go of his blades.
They fell to the ground.
He remained standing as the massive wheel came down on him.
Inside the compartment, everyone closed their eyes.
There was no sound.
Only clean silence.
Nothing hit.
Slowly, they opened their eyes.
The wheel had stopped… just one inch above the ground.
Outside, Blinc was holding the entire wheel.
His eyes were calm.
His hair floated slightly.
“This is too heavy… like a vase, but not like a giant wheel.
Are they okay?
Where are they?
Are you guys okay?!” Everyone climbed out from behind and stared at him.
Zander’s hand flew to his mouth.
Blinc released the wheel.
He turned around.
His eyes returned to normal.
His clothes and blades dissolved into dust.
“I feel like giving you a name,” Zander said.
“I knew your powers were still alive,” Annie added.
“First, let’s go home.
She’s going to do something bigger.
She’s going to take Amili back,” Blinc said.
Sweat and dust covered his face.
Tom and Bruce’s eyes widened.
In The Hospital The hospital was quiet.
Almost empty.
Only a few nurses, doctors, and patients remained.
Amili lay on the bed, looking out the window.
Her eyes were dull.
She blinked slowly.
Her lips were dry.
Only one nurse was in the room.
Outside, Carla and another police officer waited.
Carla sat in the empty corridor, exhausted.
She rested the back of her head against the wall and stared at the ceiling.
Suddenly, a faint sound of utensils came from the left.
She stood up, eyes narrowed.
“Hello?” Carla called.
She moved slowly toward the end of the corridor, gun drawn.
She turned the corner carefully.
A nine-foot-tall Karbu was coming out of the elevator.
Carla aimed her gun.
Her mouth fell slightly open.
Her eyes widened.
Karbu slowly tilted its head and looked at her, then screamed.
Carla opened fire.
The bullets hit its body but did nothing.
She kept shooting until the magazine was empty.
She stared at the creature.
Karbu kicked her hard in the chest.
Carla flew backward and slammed into the corridor wall.
She fainted.
The Karbu dropped to its hands and feet and ran toward Amili’s room.
It reached the door and pushed it open.
It entered and screamed.
The room was empty.
It looked around, growling.
Amili was outside, standing on the window ledge.
Ten floors above the ground.
She held her breath, closed her eyes, then slowly opened them and looked toward the nearest open window.
Karbu slammed the bed.
Amili’s body started trembling.
She slowly stood up, balanced herself, held her breath, and carefully moved toward the open window.
The ledge creaked under her weight.
Karbu looked at the still-open window.
Amili slipped inside, closed the window, and sat down in the dark room, breathing hard.
Outside, the Karbu climbed onto the ledge and peered through the glass with its black eyes.
Amili thought it was gone.
She slowly crawled across the floor toward the door, stood up, and looked back.
Karbu was still hanging outside, staring directly at her.
Amili screamed.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!” The Karbu smashed through the glass and came inside.
Amili slammed the door shut and ran.
She saw Officer Carla lying unconscious and left her behind, continuing to run.
The Karbu reached the corner.
The corridor was empty.
It screamed and walked forward, glass crunching under its feet.
It moved toward the elevator and jammed a hammer into the doors so they couldn’t close, then stepped inside.
A sound came from behind.
Amili stood there, holding a broken wiper.
“La fica di tua madre,” she said in Italian.
The Karbu began to turn.
Amili swung the sharp end of the wiper and drove it into the creature’s head.
The Karbu collapsed, dead.
She took a deep breath and fell to her knees.
From the left side, Blinc and Inose came running.
“Amili!” Blinc called out.
He reached her, dropped to his knees, and wrapped his arms around her.
Her head rested on his shoulder as They held each other tightly.
Amili closed her eyes.
Tears slipped down her face as she clung to him.
Blinc pulled back slightly and gently wiped the tears from under her eyes.
“Scared?” Inose asked.
“This is the first time… that’s why,” Blinc replied.
From the other end of the corridor came the sound of utensils falling, followed by heavy footsteps.
A huge panther-like creature stepped out slowly.
It was the size of a normal panther, but its body was burned, its teeth long, and its eyes glowing red.
Spittle dripped from its open mouth as it stared at them with a deadly gaze, ready to charge.
Blinc, Inose, and Amili froze.
Their eyes widened, mouths slightly open, faces pale.
Behind them, Zander and Lomro also froze, eyes wide with shock.
The creature did not scream.
It simply charged at them at full speed.
Blinc helped Amili to her feet.
Inose grabbed her and they started running.
Blinc stayed behind as the creature rushed toward him.
Lomro pulled Amili and Inose down the stairs.
Zander remained standing.
Blinc closed his eyes and took a sharp breath.
“Come on… come on…” he whispered.
Suddenly he remembered the moment of his transformation — the massive blast that had followed.
He opened his eyes just as the creature reached him and leapt.
Everything around Blinc slowed down.
The creature hung in the air.
Zander stood frozen behind him.
“I can’t transform here…” Time snapped back to normal.
Blinc jumped sideways across the floor.
The creature missed him completely.
It turned around, confused.
No one was there.
Blinc crawled quickly to the left.
Zander came from behind holding a fire extinguisher and sprayed it directly at the creature.
Thick fog filled the corridor.
The creature couldn’t see.
The extinguisher ran empty.
The creature screamed at Zander.
The sound echoed through the entire hospital.
People downstairs froze in fear.
Zander stepped back.
From behind, Blinc drove a broken wiper into the creature’s back leg.
“Hey, transform now!” Zander shouted.
“I can’t!
Last time a huge blast happened.
What if it happens again?” Blinc replied.
The creature slammed into the wall, forcing the wiper out.
Zander kept hitting its head with the empty extinguisher again and again.
Finally the creature’s head smashed.
Red blood spread across the floor.
Both of them stepped back, breathing hard.
They looked over to where Carla had been lying.
She was gone.
“Where did she go?” Blinc asked.
“Maybe she left,” Zander said.
As they walked away, Blinc noticed a file lying on the bench where Carla had been sitting.
The words Special Task Force – United States were printed on the cover.
He picked it up and opened it.
Inside was a file on Amili.
He read carefully.
His eyes widened.
His mouth fell slightly open.
“What happened?” Zander asked.
“They’re saying all the people killed by Karbu… and by Alena… the killer was Amili.
And they have all the proof,” Blinc said, closing the file.
“All the proof?
They only have one — her fingerprint on her own mother’s body,” Zander said, lips pressed together.
“Yes… but they have her fingerprints everywhere,” Blinc replied, his gaze drifting away.
“But how?” Zander asked.
Both looked at each other.
Their eyes widened at the same time.
“Alena,” they said together.
“Alena is doing everything to trap Amili… so she can take her back,” Blinc said.
“If the police and people trap her here, she’ll be alone at some point… and then Alena can take her,” Zander added.
Blinc stood up and put the file down.
“If Amili stays under the police, they’ll definitely hang her.
We have to save her,” he said, taking a step forward.
A sudden sound of nails scraping the floor came from behind.
Both froze and turned around.
The creature was coming toward them on all fours — headless, blood and torn flesh clearly visible.
They stepped back and ran.
The creature charged after them.
