Bang! Bang! The hotel room door was once again violently pounded.
In the dimly lit room, Su Ran, who was pressed tightly against the door, shuddered in shock.
A chill ran through her sweat-drenched body. Her slender, fair arms limply hooked around the neck of the stranger before her as she looked up, panting softly.
The man’s sturdy arms firmly supported Su Ran’s trembling thighs, his open silk robe swaying wildly with his movements. “Do you like playing like this? Do you want me to have someone pin him against the door so he can keep knocking?”
Su Ran was acting out of resentment; she wanted revenge.
However, engaging in such a wild tryst with a man whose face she hadn’t even clearly seen, all while her ex-boyfriend stood just a thick wooden panel away, listening and guarding the door…
She wasn’t that twisted.
The man before her, however, was deliberately teasing and grinding against her, waiting for her to moan and plead for more before launching a fierce assault.
Wanton and wicked, he looked every bit a seasoned veteran of the bedroom.
Su Ran wrapped her slick, long legs around the man’s powerful waist, unable to stop herself from rubbing against his firm, hot abs. “Go to the bed.”
The man was clearly satisfied with her initiative, his breath coming in hot waves against her ear as he moved with wide, sweeping strokes. “Right here is more interesting.”
Su Ran couldn’t hold it back, letting out a soft, watery moan.
In the shadows, the man’s eyes darkened, his tone becoming increasingly arrogant and unrestrained. “You need to be louder so he can hear you.”
The person outside the door seemed to have heard.
The knocking faltered for a second, then became even more frantic. A voice hissed in a muffled roar, “Get the hell out here!”
The mere sound of that scum’s voice made Su Ran sick.
Suppressed anger flared within her, and she bit down hard on the man’s shoulder.
The mix of pain and itchiness only fueled the man’s arousal. With a slap, his palm struck the intercom doorbell next to the doorframe.
As the microphone activated and the screen lit up, he let out an undisguised, satisfied grunt before letting out a low, raspy command: “Beat it.”
His aura was powerful, clearly that of a man accustomed to giving orders and brooking no defiance.
The knocking outside stopped abruptly, and silence fell completely.
That teeth-gritting ex-boyfriend of hers had likely not only been startled but had probably ground his molars down two layers.
The Royal Nest was the most luxurious club-style hotel in Jicheng. This floor consisted of presidential suites; the people staying here were either extremely wealthy or highly influential—people he couldn’t afford to offend. Aside from pounding on the door, he didn’t dare do anything else.
Hah, a scumbag and a coward.
If he had even an ounce of courage, he would have called the police to ruin the party.
The next day, as dawn broke, Su Ran woke up. The bedroom was silent; she was alone.
The wrinkled, disheveled sheets beside her were cold. The man must have left quite a while ago.
This was for the best. There was no need to waste time saying things like “it was mutual” or “we don’t owe each other anything.”
Her phone was charging on the nightstand. When she turned it on, over ninety-nine voice messages popped up, most of them from her ex-boyfriend, Xue Yi.
“Did you run upstairs on purpose? Do you think you can climb the social ladder by snagging a rich man? In their eyes, someone of your status is at most a cheap plaything.”
“Damn it, acting all virginal and demure with me, turns out you were just saving it to sell to some random guy for a high price!”
“Your family’s crappy factory can just wait to be sealed off and go bankrupt.”
Su Ran took a deep breath, her chest aching slightly.
She had once believed he was stable, reliable, and caring. She had truly thought he was the one, and had planned to find a good day to give him a surprise and take their relationship to the next level.
But he had used his past favors as leverage, demanding she sleep with him before he would help her find a way to meet Lu Jingxing.
Su Ran had a bit of a rebellious streak.
She would rather starve to death than sell her body—unless she was the one craving it.
Ha! If he hadn’t tried to drug her and force himself on her when he couldn’t get what he wanted, she wouldn’t have been so desperate as to seek help from the man last night—who claimed he had also been drugged—only to be pulled into a dark room and lose herself right then and there.
The more Su Ran thought about it, the angrier she became. With fingers that were still a bit weak, she tapped to reply to a voice message, intentionally saying, “The man last night was Lu Jingxing. Not only is he ‘old but vigorous’ and knows how to treat a woman, but he’s also got great skills and a fantastic body. He even promised to invest in me. You disgusting man, go to hell.”
After sending it, she blocked him immediately.
Feeling much better, she was about to get up to look for her scattered clothes when she looked up and saw a tall, well-dressed man. With his long legs crossed, he leaned against the doorframe with a cold, solemn air, his deep, handsome eyes narrowed as he stared at her scrutinizingly.
Su Ran instinctively clutched the blanket around her body. She felt the unease of being watched by a bird of prey. Still, she feigned composure and looked back at him.
The man curled his lips and slowly approached. In his hand, he held something that looked completely out of place: a black lace bra she knew all too well.
“Old but vigorous? I’ll take that as a compliment.”
Caught red-handed in her lie, Su Ran felt a bit guilty. “I’m sorry. I just said a random name to piss off that scumbag.”
The man sat down beside Su Ran, bringing with him a faint, warm scent of sandalwood and an overwhelming sense of pressure.
His soft fingertips lightly brushed against her exposed, snowy shoulder, his voice playful and deep. “You’re quite good at being ‘random.'”
As his cool fingertips grazed her warm skin, waves of numbness washed over Su Ran. “We were both drugged last night. There’s no need to mock each other.”
The man didn’t deign to explain. His fingers slid wantonly down from Su Ran’s collarbone. Then, hooking the edge of the blanket, he glanced inside. “Want me to help you get dressed? I’ve learned how to use the clasp.”
Su Ran was speechless.
Despite his excellent technique and variety of moves, he hadn’t known how to unhook a bra.
Last night, he had just pulled it off like a tank top.
Of course, she didn’t think he was innocent because of that. The custom-made mechanical watch on his wrist alone was worth more than her family’s food factory, inside and out.
A man at the top of the food chain like him surely had women throwing themselves at him, unbuttoning their own clothes. He never had to bother doing it himself.
Su Ran couldn’t help but tease, “Congratulations on acquiring a new skill.”
The man balled his large hand into a fist, tucking it into the lace cup, and asked quite seriously, “It’s a full circle larger than my hand. What size is this?”
Su Ran felt like she was being toyed with.
Particularly when he used such a serious, data-reporting tone to say something so inappropriate. It was unexpectedly flirtatious, making her lower abdomen tighten.
Seeing her lack of response, the man asked unhurriedly, “Any interest in another round?”
A witty retort died in Su Ran’s throat. “You look better with your clothes on.”
Desire colored the man’s dark eyes as his gaze lingered on her slightly swollen lips, his expression thick with sensuality. “Then I’ll leave my shirt on.”
Su Ran’s cheeks flushed hot, and she turned her head away, somewhat against her own will. “Not interested.”
The man hooked his fingers around her delicate neck, forcing her to turn back. “Don’t you want to know who I am? Enjoy yourself once, and learn a secret. It’s not a bad deal.”
