Uncle Tian stood at the kitchen doorway, seemingly still processing Sheng Yuyue’s words.

When had the master come home?

Better not to pry too much into the master’s affairs.

Sheng Yuyue finished washing up and came downstairs to find a lavish bowl of noodles already set on the dining table.

She sat down, abandoning any concern about gaining weight, and dug in.

…

When Sheng Yuyue woke up, it was already past ten in the morning.

She hastily packed her luggage, double-checked the documents she needed to bring, and only then went to freshen up.

This was her first business trip with her target. Fu Yunting had always only brought Song Qi along before, yet this time he was bringing only her. If anyone believed he had no ulterior motive, they’d have to be a fool.

What a smug, insufferable man.

Since her boss had gone to such lengths, Sheng Yuyue would certainly put in the effort too—she wouldn’t let this trip go to waste.

She picked out a sapphire-blue suit set. Wearing it made her skin look even fairer and more luminous.

She applied a meticulous layer of makeup, then grabbed her suitcase, stepped into her seven-centimeter heels, and strode out the door with effortless flair.

Song Qi was driving Fu Yunting to the airport. He had just parked when he saw her—luggage in tow, walking with a commanding stride—heading straight toward their car.

Song Qi was momentarily stunned.

On most workdays, Sheng Yuyue wore professional suits in white or black. Today, though the outfit was still a suit, the change in color instantly transformed her entire style.

“Good afternoon, President Fu, Assistant Song.”

Sheng Yuyue spoke first.

Fu Yunting, who had just stepped out of the car, stood with his hands in his pockets, his gaze sweeping over the woman before him without the slightest pretense of subtlety.

Her makeup was somewhat different.

This woman had dressed up deliberately.

Provocative.

His eyes trailed over her blazer—a deep V-neck cut. He couldn’t tell what she was wearing underneath, but the view at her chest was nothing short of tantalizing.

His gaze shifted from initial appraisal to something darker, yet it seemed to carry a flicker of fire.

Whether it was anger or desire, he couldn’t say.

It wasn’t until she boarded the plane that Sheng Yuyue realized there was a separate section of the airport reserved for Fu Yunting’s private jets.

She knew that nearly every wealthy family owned a private jet, but having as many private jets as one would have cars—that kind of extravagance was an eye-opener even for her.

It seemed she had underestimated her husband’s wealth.

From now on, she probably didn’t need to hold back on shopping. After all, her husband had money—if she didn’t spend it, it would just go to waste.

Fu Yunting sat across from her, a glass of red wine in hand, swirling it slowly.

Through the glass, he watched the woman opposite him, whose face was shifting through a variety of emotions.

The sharpness and boldness were gone, replaced by something she’d never shown before on that alluring face—a hint of foolishness.

He felt that Sheng Yuyue seemed to have many faces. Over the past three months, though he could tell she sometimes deliberately tried to make her presence known, back then she had seemed rather unremarkable—at best, somewhat alluring and charming.

She hadn’t sparked much interest in him.

“Secretary Sheng, you’re exposed.”

Sheng Yuyue was still planning to use Fu Yunting’s card to buy a seaside villa after this trip when his voice cut through her thoughts.

She looked up at the man across from her.

He tilted his chin slightly, signaling her to look down.

She lowered her gaze to her chest.

Her blazer had already had a low neckline to begin with, and with her seated posture, the opening gaped wide, laying bare everything she had on display.

Sheng Yuyue, however, felt not the slightest bit ill at ease—this was precisely why she had chosen this outfit.
