If Fu Yunting’s brothers had seen him slinking back to his room after his failed attempt to sneak into her bed, they probably would have thought he was possessed by a lecherous ghost.

The next morning, when Fu Yunting walked out of his room, he saw Sheng Yuyue already fully dressed and just about to sit down for breakfast.

Today she was wearing a complete white suit—loose-fitting white trousers that swept the floor, paired with a pair of seven-centimeter-high heels that made her look even taller.Full novel: Ceo’s Wife Disguised as Secretary, Flirts and Runs Away — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Her wavy chestnut-black hair was elegantly pinned up at the back of her head. She wore a pair of Chanel earrings, a matching necklace around her fair neck, a Patek Philippe watch on her left wrist, and a new Van Cleef & Arpels ring on her right index finger.

The aura she exuded was that of a shrewd, capable female CEO—nothing like an ordinary little secretary.

“Good morning, President Fu.”

“I ordered a breakfast for you as well.”

It seemed Sheng Yuyue had rested well last night; she looked full of energy and radiated vitality.

She greeted Fu Yunting with a generous smile, showing none of the timid, trembling demeanor that other secretaries and assistants displayed around him.

Fu Yunting nodded, walked to the dining table, and sat down.

The two finished their breakfast in silence and then set off for the Joseph Group.

The president of the Joseph Group, Joseph, was a local of Country L. By the time they arrived, Joseph was already waiting in the conference room.

An assistant led them into the conference room.

“Hey, hello, Fu.”

“This is my secretary, Katie.”

“Hello, Joseph.”

“And my secretary, Sheng Xia.”

The four of them shook hands politely. Katie looked at Sheng Yuyue with a puzzled expression.

Sheng Xia?

Taking advantage of a pause in Fu Yunting and Joseph’s conversation, Sheng Yuyue secretly winked at Katie.

Both were shrewd women, and even with questions, they wouldn’t be indiscreet in such a setting.

In fact, Sheng Yuyue had previously lived in Country L for a long time.

Though she and Katie weren’t exactly close confidantes, they were still good friends.

In the past, they would occasionally meet up for drinks, shopping, and chats about work.

Katie was well aware of Sheng Yuyue’s identity and couldn’t understand why she would give up being the president of the prestigious Sheng Corporation to work as Fu Yunting’s secretary.

However, Sheng Yuyue had always had a mind of her own.

Since she had chosen to do this, Katie certainly wouldn’t expose her.

She would just have to ask for clarification later.

Actually, Sheng Yuyue hadn’t expected to run into an acquaintance here either.

She had always known that Katie worked at a large corporation, and sometimes Katie would come to her for advice on work-related matters, which Sheng Yuyue would gladly provide.

But she had never asked which company Katie worked for, and Katie had never mentioned it.

When Sheng Yuyue first saw Katie upon entering the conference room, she was quite surprised as well.

However, as someone who had long mastered the art of keeping a straight face, she simply stood behind Fu Yunting, playing the part of an ordinary secretary.

Ever since Joseph had laid eyes on Sheng Yuyue, his gaze had barely left her.

The beauty of an Eastern woman was utterly captivating to him.

Moreover, Sheng Yuyue had such an enchanting face, with allure in every glance of her brows and eyes.

Sheng Yuyue had actually long noticed Joseph’s lecherous gaze. In her mind, she had already beaten him tens of thousands of times, yet on her face, she maintained a polite and friendly smile.

Fu Yunting had to admit that Sheng Yuyue’s work capabilities were indeed formidable.

He had not expected that, given only a single day, she would manage to prepare all the materials so thoroughly.
