Conrad pounded his fist against the heavy oak door again.
“Lyra!
Open this damn door right now!” Lucian didn’t break eye contact with me.
His slate-grey eyes stayed fixed on my face, dark and completely unbothered by the screaming in the hallway.
He slid his hand up my thigh, his long fingers squeezing the soft flesh above my knee, keeping me anchored to the edge of the wooden dresser.
“Ignore him,” Vin rumbled from beside us.
His voice was low, heavy, and full of raw threat.
Shawn casually walked over to the locked door.
He didn’t turn the brass key.
He just leaned his shoulder against the wood, his voice dripping with smooth arrogance as he spoke through the thick panel.
“Get lost, Conrad,” Shawn called out.
“Lyra is busy catering to our needs.
If you interrupt us again, Lucian pulls the funding for your shipping terminal before sunrise.” Silence fell over the hallway instantly.
I could practically hear Conrad’s teeth grinding through the heavy oak.
He knew he had no leverage.
He knew that if he pushed these men, his entire financial life would crumble in seconds.
A moment later, Conrad’s heavy, angry footsteps receded down the hallway, fading into the quiet storm outside.
“Now,” Lucian purred, his voice dropping into a dangerous, velvety register that sent a jolt straight between my thighs.
“Where were we?” Before I could draw a full breath, Lucian cupped the back of my knees, lifting my legs and wrapping them tightly around his waist.
He carried me three paces away from the dresser, tossing me onto the massive king-sized bed in the center of the room.
The mattress gave way beneath me.
I scrambled back, my hands digging into the white sheets, but Vin was already there.
The towering man crawled onto the mattress like a silent predator.
He grabbed my ankles, dragging me back toward the center of the bed until I was pinned beneath his broad, heavy chest.
The sheer weight of him crushed any thought of escape out of my mind.
His heat radiated straight through my thin cotton dress, thick with the scent of rain and raw male authority.
“Look at her,” Shawn whispered, stepping up to the side of the bed.
He unbuttoned his cuffs, tossing his designer watch onto the nightstand.
His dark eyes glittered with a wild, hungry light as he looked down at my flushed face.
“She looks like a trapped little bird, Vin.” “She isn’t going anywhere,” Vin grumbled into my neck.
His mouth latched onto the sensitive skin right above my collarbone, biting down just hard enough to make me gasp out loud.
A sharp, electric pulse shot down to my core.
I arched my back off the mattress, my fingers instinctively tangling into Vin’s thick dark hair, trying to push him away while my body betrayed me completely, melting under his touch.
“Vin, please,” I choked out, my voice raspy and breathless.
Lucian climbed onto the bed, sliding between my parted legs.
His posture was completely dominant, his tailored shirt unbuttoned to his chest, exposing the hard, flexing muscle underneath.
He reached out, his hand gripping my chin tightly, forcing my eyes up to meet his storm-grey gaze.
“You like to play innocent, sweet girl,” Lucian murmured, his thumb rubbing roughly over my lower lip, pressing down until my mouth parted for him.
“You act like we’re monsters.
But your heart is racing, your pulse is thumping against Vin’s mouth, and your skin is burning.” “I hate you,” I lied, tears of pure sensory overload stinging the corners of my eyes.
Lucian let out a low, dark laugh.
“Liar.” He bent his head down, his mouth slamming over mine with brutal, overwhelming authority.
He claimed my lips without hesitation, sliding his tongue deep inside, drinking in every breath I had left.
I gasped into his mouth, my hands flying up to grip his broad shoulders as the kiss turned filthy, deep, and utterly possessive.
While Lucian devoured my mouth, Shawn leaned over my right side.
His long fingers hooked into the neck of my simple dress, tugging the thin fabric down until my chest was completely bare to the cool air of the bedroom.
I gasped against Lucian’s lips as Shawn’s warm tongue trailed down my collarbone, licking a wet line all the way to my peak.
My hips jumped off the mattress.
A loud, shameless moan tore from my throat, echoing wildly in the dark room.
“That’s it,” Shawn rasped against my skin, his fingers squeezing my hip hard enough to leave faint marks.
“Let us hear how much you want this.
Let us hear how much you missed us.” Vin’s large, calloused hands slid under my dress, smoothing up my bare thighs.
His broad palms pressed into my inner skin, forcing my knees wider apart, completely exposing me to all three of them.
I was completely trapped beneath their heavy bodies, drowning in their heat, their hands, and their overwhelming demand for my total submission.
For five years, I had lived in a cold, dead house where no one touched me except to cause pain.
Now, I was being consumed by the three men who held my entire heart.
My mind screamed at me to remember the hidden ledger in Conrad’s study, but my body melted into every kiss, every bite, and every possessive caress.
Lucian pulled back from my lips, his chest heaving, his eyes burning with an intense, unhinged hunger.
He slid his hand between my thighs, his fingers finding the slick, hot center of my body through my thin lace undergarments.
I whimpered, my head rolling back against the pillows.
“You belong to us, Lyra,” Lucian growled softly, his fingers working a slow, punishing rhythm that made my toes curl and my vision go blurry.
“Every inch of this skin.
Every breath you take.
You are ours.” “Yes,” I gasped, unable to hold back the truth as the overwhelming friction pushed me closer and closer to the edge.
“Lucian, please!” “Say it again,” Lucian commanded, his voice dark and demanding as his rhythm quickened, driving me straight over the precipice.
I sobbed out his name as a violent, explosive wave of pleasure crashed through my body.
My back arched high off the bed, my fingers digging desperately into Lucian’s arms as I shuddered violently beneath them.
Shawn chuckled softly into my neck, kissing away the tear that slipped down my cheek, while Vin held my hips firmly against the mattress until the final wave faded.
Exhaustion swept over me like a heavy blanket.
My chest heaved as I lay there in the quiet room, completely exposed, my body flushed and sensitive.
Lucian slowly sat up, resting his forearm on his knee as he looked down at me.
The dark, wild hunger in his face settled into something calm, sharp, and intensely analytical.
He reached into his back suit pocket.
When his hand came back out, his fingers were holding a thin, silver wire pick.
The metal glinted sharply under the bedside lamp.
My breath hitched in my throat.
My blood ran ice-cold in a fraction of a second.
The lockpick.
I must have dropped it on the rug when I ran out of Conrad’s study earlier.
Lucian tilted his head, leaning over me until his face was inches from mine.
He dangled the tiny silver tool right in front of my wide, terrified eyes.
“Found this on the floor right beside Conrad’s private desk,” Lucian purred softly, his voice dropping into a deadly, quiet steel.
“Care to tell me why our quiet little maid is carrying a professional lockpick in her apron?”
