"Hmmm... hmmm." Lars hummed playfully.
"What class should I sell today? How about War Templar again? Ahh, yes, I will go with that."
He walked toward the Auction Room section. It contained nearly hundreds of private rooms where hunters could sell their products anonymously.
Right now, it was around ten in the morning, so there were fewer people. He chose one of the rooms and scanned the code. A few zents were deducted, and the door slid open.
The room was simple. A semicircular sofa with a round table in the middle, topped with a holographic screen.
Just as he was about to close the door, someone suddenly barged into his private room.
And it was someone he least expected to see.
"Melodie? What are you doing here?" Lars was shocked. A beautiful black-haired woman, dressed in an elegant hunter outfit, had suddenly entered his room.
Melodie stared at him intently.
"I knew it! That’s why you looked familiar. You’re Lars Dicker, the bully!"
Lars immediately raised his sling bag, covering his face.
Lars Dicker. The bully.
It had been years since he last heard that name, but it was one he had tried desperately to forget.
"N-no! I’m not Lars. You must be mistaken."
Melodie immediately grabbed Lars’s sling bag and pulled it away. Lars barely had the strength to resist as her grip was far stronger than he expected.
"Don’t lie to me. I never forget a face once I’ve seen it. What are you doing here?" she demanded.
"I should be the one asking that! Why are you barging into my private room? This is a violation of my privacy. Do you want me to call security?" Lars snapped as he trying to regain control of the situation.
"Go ahead, call them. I will just expose to everyone that you’re Anonymous214," Melodie said with a sly smirk.
"W-what?!" Lars was left speechless.
’Tch, this girl... how did she figure it out? It must be because I sold her the Lunar Blader class. I should’ve never sold it to her in the first place. She’s way too sharp.’ Sweat began to form on Lars’s forehead.
"What are you talking about? Anonymous214? That’s not me," Lars denied.
"Then what are you trying to sell?"
"Err... weapons, yes. I’m here to sell a weapon."
"Okay. Then I will just sit here and watch you sell it. Don’t mind me." Melodie sat across from him, crossing her arms and legs.
"Urgh... are all rich girls like this?" Lars muttered.
He opened the trade screen and hovered his fingers over the weapon section. From the corner of his eye, he glanced at Melodie, who still staring at him.
He opened his weapon inventory. Only two weapons were there, a 50 Zents steel sword and a 750 Zents iron lance he had bought earlier.
’Why the hell did I lie and say I wanted to sell weapons? I only have trash here!’
He placed the steel sword into the trade box.
"Are you really going to sell that? No one will buy it."
"Shut up!"
Suddenly, an announcement heard inside the room.
[Blazing Archmage Class Book has been sold at the price of 40,000 Zents]
"..."
Lars fell silent. Since he had logged into the room with his own ID, all account notifications appeared directly on the screen. Everything was exposed in plain sight.
Lars slowly covered his face with his hands.
"Hehehe... to think my school senior is actually the mysterious seller. You should be glad I found out before anyone else. So... you really are the one selling all those new classes?"
"Unfortunately, yes. What do you want?" Lars replied coldly. There was no point hiding anymore.
"So cold. You should be grateful you’re talking to someone like me. So many men try their best just to approach me, but with you, I’m the one coming to you." She casually slid into the seat beside him.
’So close...’ Lars felt slightly uncomfortable. Melodie’s perfume drifted into his nose, and her eyes and lips were just inches from his face. Any other man would have seized the opportunity without hesitation.
But Lars wasn’t that easy to sway. He had other priorities to focus on. Falling in love was the last thing he needed.
"Did you come here to buy a Class Book from me? Don’t beat around the bush. I’m busy."
"Sigh... yes. I want to buy a class from you, but not just that. I want to purchase any class you haven’t sold yet. Don’t worry, I don’t want to know how or where you got them. And I will pay above market price." She went straight to the point.
’This girl... she really is a businessman’s daughter. Her approach is direct. What should I do?’ Lars thought, before an idea crossed his mind.
"I will be honest with you. I don’t have any other classes besides the ones I usually put on sale. But I want to know, what kind of class are you looking for?" Lars asked.
"I want at least three classes, tank, mage and archer. Can you get me all of them?" Melodie asked.
"I haven’t decided yet whether to make a deal with you. Let me think about it first and see what I can do."
"Sure. That’s better than nothing. Here, this is my card. Feel free to call me if you have anything." She leaned forward slightly as she handed it over. As she leaned forward, her attire shifted slightly, giving Lars a brief glimpse of a black bra beneath.
Lars’s face flushed as he took the card from her hand.
"I expect good news from you. Bye-bye!"
Soon, Lars was left alone in the room, still trying to process everything with a blank expression.
After a moment, he snapped out of it and continued with his work. He put War Templar up for sale and collected the money from yesterday’s deal. But every now and then, his eyes would drift toward Melodie’s card in his hand.
