Bai Yunxia compliantly tilted her neck back, her clear and bright eyes growing hazy and unfocused. She gently pursed her moist lips, as if preparing for a kiss, her begonia-bright lips enticing him to invade.

She even felt the fire wasn’t burning fiercely enough. “I have no experience, you know. I need to kiss my husband more often to practice my kissing skills~”

“No, you’re my husband. I’ll only ever kiss you in this lifetime.” Bai Yunxia slightly lowered her head, her rosy lips brushing against his fingers.

Her lips rubbed against him softly and gently, sending a faint, tingling itch through his knuckles.

She didn’t know how to kiss, but she was quite skilled at seduction.

Her bright almond-shaped eyes gazed at him as she continued to provoke, “If you kiss me, husband, I’ll be good.”

Mo Yanzhou didn’t quite believe her, but he still leaned in slowly, his breath warm and moist. When their noses were almost touching, he tilted his head slightly and pressed his lips against her soft, fragrant ones in a near-perfect angle.

Bai Yunxia felt her heart almost stop. She clearly sensed her lips parting, their scorching breaths intertwining. In the air, it was impossible to tell whether the heavy panting was hers or Mo Yanzhou’s.

All she felt was Mo Yanzhou’s presence enveloping her. Instinctively, she tried to pull away, but as she leaned back, a strong arm wrapped around her back, pressing her body firmly against his. They embraced in an even more intimate posture, and she was drawn into his warm, broad chest for a deep kiss.

She was nearly breathless, whimpering softly a few times before her lips were finally released.

She gasped for air in small, shallow breaths. Her usually clear eyes now held a seductive shyness, a beauty that seemed soul-stealing.

Mo Yanzhou couldn’t help but swallow hard. He turned his back to Bai Yunxia. “Satisfied? You can go back to sleep now.”

Bai Yunxia sat dazedly on the sofa. His back was still as aloof and indifferent as ever, as if the person who had just stirred her senses wasn’t him at all.

Compared to last night’s fleeting peck, this could hardly be called a kiss.

She touched her lips—they were probably flushed red from the kissing.

“My legs feel weak~”

Mo Yanzhou, you scoundrel, kissing and then running away.

He should take responsibility.

Mo Yanzhou paused mid-step. “So?”

“Carry me back.”

Pushing her luck.

Mo Yanzhou shifted slightly but stopped almost immediately.

She said kiss, and he kissed her. She said carry her, and he was supposed to carry her.

Just who was being obedient here?

Mo Yanzhou’s dark eyes turned cold, the earlier surge of desire seeming never to have existed. This was getting out of hand.

“Crawl out if you have to.”

His tone was stern, but his voice wasn’t cold. Instead, it carried a huskiness tinged with desire.

Exceptionally seductive.

Bai Yunxia sat silently on the sofa, secretly smiling to herself, but her words were pitiful. “If Grandma finds out you made me crawl, she’d be so heartbroken…”

Mo Yanzhou clenched his fist inwardly. He shouldn’t have indulged Bai Yunxia in everything.

Thinking that mentioning his grandparents was her get-out-of-jail-free card.

Mo Yanzhou remained unmoved. Bai Yunxia, knowing when to stop, stood up. “My legs are weak only because kissing my husband was so pleasurable. It’s my fault for being so weak-kneed from the pleasure. I’ll try not to let my legs go weak next time.”

Mo Yanzhou wiped his hair absentmindedly. Was kissing him that pleasurable?

It was his first time too. Perhaps men were naturally gifted in that area—he had merely followed his instincts.

The sound of footsteps behind him grew fainter until the door closed gently.

Mo Yanzhou untied his bathrobe belt and casually tossed it at the foot of the bed, revealing a toned, model-perfect physique. His eyes remained cool and detached as he roughly estimated Bai Yunxia’s finger circumference and sent the measurement to his grandmother.

The elderly woman was still awake and cheerfully inquired about his progress with Bai Yunxia after receiving the message. Progress? They’d reached… kissing. He didn’t reply. Tossing his phone onto the nightstand, he collapsed into bed.

Typically someone who never dreamed, Mo Yanzhou found himself entangled in an unexpectedly sensual dream that night. The erotic imagery left him too embarrassed to recall upon waking. It seemed abstinence had taken its toll. Changing into workout clothes, he headed to the gym to channel his pent-up energy.

Meanwhile, Bai Yunxia slept soundly. By the time she woke, Mo Yanzhou had long departed. Driving out, she noticed the same orange supercar from last night trailing her. Initially dismissing it as coincidence—perhaps they were both heading toward the main gate—she grew uneasy as the car persistently followed her route. After several turns confirmed the pursuit, realization dawned: she was being tailed. Why? Had her casual remark about him “rushing to be reborn” last night truly provoked such petty vengeance from a grown man? His reckless speeding in the residential area had been wrong anyway.

Not daring to lead the car to her studio, Bai Yunxia pulled over. The orange supercar immediately slid alongside, revealing Zhan Bai lounging behind the wheel with careless grace. “Knew it was you,” he drawled. That twilight-purple car paint definitely wasn’t Mo Yanzhou’s aesthetic—had to belong to a woman.

“All I said was you were speeding like you had a date with the afterlife! Was that worth stalking me over?” Bai Yunxia glared, cheeks flushed with irritation. “Petty much?”

“Ha! Me? Petty?” Zhan Bai—always praised for his generosity—found himself speechless at the accusation. An incredulous laugh escaped him. “Should’ve known better than to worry about you. Saw you looking pitiful and thought I’d check in, but you’re just ungrateful.”

“You’re the weird one! We’re strangers, and I’m perfectly fine without your concern.” Bai Yunxia wanted to escape, but the supercar blocked her in. Unless he moved, she was trapped. Her parking job hadn’t helped.

“Strangers? Easy fix.” Zhan Bai flashed a roguish grin. “I’m Zhan Bai—’Zhan’ as in Zhanjiang, ‘Bai’ as in cypress trees. Your turn.”

“Not telling.”

“Figures. Married to Mo Yanzhou without even a title. Didn’t get a wedding invite—doubt there even was a ceremony. Pathetic.” Though his words feigned sympathy, mocking amusement danced in his eyes.

Bai Yunxia’s gaze dropped. She retreated into her car, resolved to ignore him.

“Hey, you crying in there?” Zhan Bai climbed out, circling to her window and tapping the glass. “Little beauty! Didn’t mean to tease you—was mocking Mo Yanzhou! Everyone in Ling City knows he’s an ice block who avoids women. You marrying him? That’s a victory already.”

“Seriously, don’t cry! Can’t stand women’s tears!”

“Fine, you win! Roll down the window—I’ll help you win him over!”

“I’m a man! We understand each other! I’ll be your love coach!”

The window slid down, revealing Bai Yunxia’s delicate profile. Under long lashes, the corners of her eyes were tinged pink, her luminous orbs gleaming like black jade grapes—clear and bright, now magnified by glistening tears into heart-wrenching vulnerability.

Zhan Bai’s breath caught. Mo Yanzhou really did have all the luck.

“Do you know Mo Yanzhou?” Bai Yunxia asked softly.

Zhan Bai didn’t have any tissues on him either. Since the advent of electronic payments, he didn’t even carry cash anymore.

Even if he had money, it wouldn’t be suitable for wiping tears.

He said, “Of course, Mo Yanzhou and I move in the same circles. We were schoolmates back in our student days.”

They had been schoolmates in both middle school and high school.

But not in university.

Bai Yunxia asked gently, “Then what do you think I should do to make him fall in love with me?”
