Jill truly lived up to being an elite of the tactical rescue unit.
On top of that, she had worked in Raccoon City for many years, so she knew the place inside and out.
In just a single day, she found the hidden Professor Muller—it barely cost her any effort at all.
In the university district’s biotech building, down on Basement Level Two, a middle-aged white man with glasses—looking like a textbook intellectual—stood in front of a transparent tank filled with nutrient solution.
Inside was a Tyrant-like bioweapon.
But unlike the usual gray-skinned Tyrants, this one was a rare case: a Black Tyrant!
Click.
The door access activated.
Wearing casual clothes, Eddie stepped into the lab.
“Hello.
My name is Eddie.
I’m a distant relative of Uncle Marcus.
Are you Dr.
Muller?”
The moment he saw a stranger enter, Dr.
Muller immediately drew a pistol.
“Back up.
Are you Umbrella?”
“No.” Eddie met his gaze without the slightest panic.
“I’m like you.
I have a grudge against Umbrella.
I need your help—if only for Uncle Marcus’s sake.”
Dr.
Muller frowned, then slowly lowered the gun.
“You said you’re Director Marcus’s relative?
That useless piece of trash?”
“You can put it that way.
Back then, it was all about surviving.” Eddie nodded.
“Don’t worry—no one knows I came here.
Umbrella won’t let you go, but they won’t find you either.”
“I see.” Dr.
Muller let out a snort that could’ve been praise or mockery.
“You’ve got some scheming in you.” Then he tilted his head.
“So what do you want from me?”
“I need the data on the Daylight T-serum vaccine,” Eddie said bluntly.
“A vaccine?” Dr.
Muller’s expression tightened.
“What do you want a vaccine for?
Are you infected?”
“No.” Eddie lit a cigarette.
“I’m running an experiment.
If I want revenge on Umbrella—if I want to avenge Uncle Marcus—then I need the vaccine.
So I need your help.
I won’t let you take a loss.
Whatever you want, I can get it for you.
We trade.”
Muller snapped.
“So what if I remember?” Eddie sneered.
“Rules are made to be broken.”
“You really are a lunatic,” Dr.
Muller scolded.
“How many normal people have ever worked at Umbrella?” Eddie shot back.
Dr.
Muller gave a low chuckle.
“Fair point.
The Daylight vaccine data is indeed in my hands.
If you want it, bring me a copy of the French branch’s Nemesis Project data.”
“That’s a dream.” Eddie’s tone went cold.
“The Nemesis Project isn’t that ‘mysterious’—it’s basically just the integration of the NE-α Type Parasite to boost intelligence, that’s all.”
Umbrella’s branches competed with each other, which made obtaining inter-branch data ridiculously difficult.
“That’s your problem.” Dr.
Muller’s voice was just as cold.
“I want Nemesis data.”
Boom!
Eddie didn’t waste a single polite word.
He lunged forward in one step and smashed Dr.
Muller away with a punch.
The T-serum had given him monstrous strength—he was doing things he never would’ve dared imagine before.
Bang!
Dr.
Muller flew backward until he slammed into the wall, then slid down limply.
He kept coughing, every cough looking like he was about to hack his lungs out.
“Don’t bargain with me.” Eddie strode up, grabbed Dr.
Muller by the hair, and yanked his head up.
“You give me the data, I protect your safety.
Your Thanatos Tyrant still needs time before it’s completed.
Before that, if Umbrella finds you—then you know exactly what happens.”
“You—!” Dr.
Muller burned with humiliation.
Having his life held in someone else’s hand felt beyond disgusting.
“If you don’t give it to me, I’ll hand you over to Umbrella.” Eddie’s smile turned cruel.
“You had the chance to take the easy way—now you’ll drink the hard one.
You’re really tired of living!”
If he couldn’t handle a monster like Spencer, did that mean he couldn’t handle some small-time punk like this?
“I’ll give it to you!” Dr.
Muller was furious, but helpless.
In the end, the one with the bigger fist had the louder voice.
And this encounter only strengthened his obsession—he needed to create the most loyal Tyrant possible!
Eddie personally watched Dr.
Muller compile the information, making sure it was real, then spent additional time checking and verifying.
“See?
If you’d handed it over earlier, none of this would’ve happened.
Fine—keep working here.
I’m not even asking for your Thanatos Tyrant data.
What are you so nervous for?
If something comes up, contact me anytime.”
Dr.
Muller watched Eddie leave with hatred in his eyes.
That bastard dared threaten him!
Outrageous.
Sooner or later, he’d take that humiliation back.
With the data in hand, Eddie slipped out of the university—quietly, carefully.
And all of it was seen by Ada Wong, watching from the rooftop like a hunter.
Ada had tailed Yoko Suzuki for a while and found nothing useful.
Yoko was simply an exchange student here to “study.” But that other man—he still seemed to be employed at Umbrella.
He would likely produce far better intel.
Out on the street, Eddie was heading for the parking lot when a woman suddenly rushed into him again.
With his enhanced reflexes, he dodged easily.
The woman “couldn’t react in time” and fell to the ground—skillfully dispersing the impact, taking the fall like a professional.
“Oww!
What’s wrong with you?
Why are you bumping into people?
Seriously!
Don’t you watch where you’re going?
Huh—aren’t you that handsome guy from the other day?”
That seductive woman with flashy gold short hair was none other than Echo Six’s surveillance operative, Sienna—using the exact same routine again, as if she’d decided Eddie was her target and wanted to squeeze information out of him.
“I didn’t hit you.” Eddie snorted.
“Trying to scam me with a staged fall?
I don’t have time for you.
Fine, I’m ‘scared’ of you—here’s one dollar.
Buy a Band-Aid.” He flicked a dollar over, jumped into the car, shifted gears, stepped on the gas, released the handbrake, and vanished in a blur.
Sienna didn’t even have time to react.
Second failure.
Was this guy even a man?
Ignoring her like that—could a man do that?
Don’t tell me he was… a gay guy?
Ada, following behind, didn’t reveal herself rashly.
From Sienna’s second appearance, Ada could be sure Eddie was absolutely a big fish.
Otherwise, why would an Echo Six operative lock onto an Umbrella researcher?
Being handsome didn’t pay the bills—looks couldn’t be eaten as food!
“U.S.
Marine Corps Echo Six… surveillance operative Sienna, twenty-two years old,” Ada murmured while looking at the data on her phone.
“Upper-class social butterfly.
Some unknown spy.
Excellent close-combat skills and high-level mobile sniping.
Interesting… even the Marines are starting to get involved?”
It’s not really mandatory—I’ll eventually upload all the chapters here—but it helps a lot in supporting me and allows me to dedicate more time to it.
