I hadn’t even said anything yet, and I hadn’t done anything either, but the Status Window was dumping a point-blank AOE nuke on me out of nowhere. Pissing me off.
Even while Go Youngin was picking what to say, the staffer’s talking didn’t stop.
‘Why isn’t he doing this to Cheon Sayun, and why is he doing it here. Didn’t he say I did well?’
Sure, that was him feeding me shit, but still.
Either way, it didn’t feel like he came over with some pure motive. Did Cheon Sayun’s words get to him? Cheon Sayun is a pretty huge piece of shit, but it doesn’t feel like he’d lie about something like this.
“Everyone was really worried. Of course, I was worried too. Actually, I’m a fan of you, Youngin. Your body is an asset, and our artist can’t get hurt, right? And today’s shoot was so cool too. I feel like you keep getting better? You really are okay, right?”
“Yes… it’s not that big a deal. I’m really okay. The weather was so hot that I stumbled for a second, and everyone worried and covered for me.”
“It’s not that something happened, right? I mean, I only saw from far away, but it felt like voices got a little raised.”
Did they. It wasn’t that big a deal. Pyo Jaeho just said a couple things, that was all. He didn’t even raise his voice in the first place—he was just being his usual rude self.
It felt burdensome to keep engaging, and the way he talked smelled kind of off too.

Did the Status Window lose it? What the fuck is this. This is the weirdest line I’ve seen in the Status Window today, by far. Like hell he’s really a fan. Is it seriously doing this just because of that one line?
I looked around, thinking maybe someone else was nearby, but there was nothing special. If there were, the Status Window would’ve told me too.

What the hell. There has to be a reason he’s doing this. More than him doing that, I was more curious why the Status Window was doing this. What is it, exactly.
And in the middle of that, this bastard’s introduction was long as hell. He seemed curious about what happened earlier, but why the hell is he curious about that. Somehow it felt like he was trying to drag the conversation out.
I rolled the bottle around in my hand. Come to think of it, I was told this was from this guy too……
“Jaeho isn’t exactly super kind when he talks to you, Youngin, right? Sayun also—ah! We got close, so we decided to speak casually. Ahem, anyway. Still, Sayun is a good kid, but…….”
Like he was excited that I’d given him some half-assed answer, he was telling me even his own thoughts that I wasn’t curious about.
And it’s not even wrong, which is what’s funny, so I can’t argue. It’s such a sloppy, third-rate attempt at stirring shit between people. I seriously don’t know if I should laugh or cry.

The moment Joo-whatever brought up the drink bottle in my hand, he threw away all the nonsense he’d been saying and immediately turned the direction of the conversation. That topic switch was legendary. He should’ve done this from the start.

“That’s a relief. I put extra care into making sure you’d drink Zero One. I checked, so we’re good. Enjoy it. Be careful, okay.”

Go Youngin blankly thought. After all this time working together, he’d never once asked, and now suddenly? It wasn’t a hard thing, but… when Go Youngin looked at him with questioning eyes, Joo Dongyun smiled awkwardly, like he was embarrassed.
“My little sibling is a fan of you, Youngin. You can just write Jinhui next to it.”
‘Didn’t he clearly say earlier that he was my fan. And last time, he acted like a Cheon Sayun fan…….’
Either way, the desire to send him off fast and be alone was stronger.
When I said okay, Joo Dongyun got so happy it was burdensome, like, way too happy. I feel like I got played somehow, fuck.
Once I signed and sent off the annoying staffer bastard, it got way too quiet. The manager who said he was on a call was the same. Come to think of it, for someone “on a call,” I don’t remember actually hearing what he was saying at all.
“Manager, what about the call?”
“Ah, don’t worry about it. I hung up.”
The manager awkwardly stuffed his phone into his pocket. After that he didn’t say anything, just kept reading the room again. Was he always the type to just read the room and not talk much?
Just then, I spotted the members still filming near the ocean. Kyeon Inwoo and Im Sebin.
Pyo Jaeho was next to the filming director, not taking his eyes off the monitor, and Cheon Sayun was talking excitedly with some staffer. Cheon Sayun over there—he might be doing that again with the staffer he was going “haha, hoho” with last time, but I can’t be sure.
Watching from this far away made me feel like some outsider who couldn’t blend in for no reason. Or maybe it was just that a noisy person came and went, so the silence felt even more pronounced.

After this shoot, nothing really changed. The feeling of me pointlessly moping by myself quieted down again. The staffer said some annoying shit and left, but nothing happened.
A few days later, at the music video shoot, I didn’t shake as much as I did at the jacket shoot. Maybe I’d just gotten numb because I kept doing it. It got so much better that I wondered why I’d been so scared at first. On top of that, with the mindset of using every bit of focus I had to end as fast as possible and leave this place entirely, I pulled out everything I had, and it even ended earlier than expected.
And so, two weeks before the comeback.
The official account revealed the comeback date along with a comeback spoiler, and two days later, the concept photos we’d filmed in round one while suffering like dogs were released one by one.
