Since there’ve been more new fans trickling in lately, I made this for Aions who haven’t been stanning for longㅎㅎㅎ I also wanna gush but it’s boring to gush alone so hehe
It doesn’t have to be some super obscure story either! Anything’s fine as long as it’s not recycled ancient stuff, from the profiles written on the official site to tiny TMI. Just try not to overlap too much and write it so it doesn’t repeat~
I’ll start!
-Zero One’s name supposedly contains the ambition of starting from zero (0) and someday becoming idol number one (1). In the English name ZERO1, the O in ZERO is written as the number 0 instead of a letter.
-Zero One’s official fanclub name is Aion (10N), and it means “forever.” It means “forever (Zero One) and forever together.” Since both are “forever,” Zero One and Aion are one body^^
-Other than the leader Go Youngin, every member of Zero One is a tallest-idol who’s over 180. Don’t misunderstand, our leader isn’t small, the members are just big ((((Youngin))))
-Zero One doesn’t have a single scaredy-cat. (So fans are begging to see them get startled at least once. They don’t get surprised even if they see a ghost, they don’t get surprised if someone suddenly pops out, they’re not even scared of bugs—guys why are your hearts made of steel.. It feels like even if you stabbed them, not a single drop of blood would come out T_T)
-Zero One has still never released a full-length album. (They debuted with a single and after that, 3 mini-albums! At this rate we’re holding out forever for a full album????????)

The head of Zero One’s agency, DD Entertainment, is more serious about “lore” than anybody...^^
└ Ah fuck T_T
└ Why is that a problem? If there’s lore, isn’t that still good…? I’m not picking a fight, I genuinely don’t know so I’m asking..
└ It’s because they’re way, way, way too serious about the lore. Like how serious? So serious they won’t release even one bright, bubbly, high-teen, sparkly song because they “don’t want to break lore” or make the members out of character, yeah...
└ It’s like… it’s a sushi buffet, but this place has a sign that says “we only serve red-fleshed fish sushi,” so you go and it’s literally nothing but skipjack tuna sushi, mackerel sushi, stuff like that lol. Of course, they do have fatty tuna too, so the taste and quality are top-tier.
Im Sebin looks like pure, delicate dancer material so you’d think he’d be on the dance line, but he’s one of only two rappers in Zero One. (I edited the comment!)
└ I’m seriously losing it, I love it so much T_T even the beauty mark on his nose is perfect, his face is all wistful and elf-level, and he’s a rapper… T_T
└ Oh, is that for real?
└ Every time Im Sebin does sing-rap I kinda wanna die, the fact his vocal tone is crazy low is so damn good I slam my head into the wall three thousand times
└ That’s not official, it’s “I heard,” and OP said no recycled ancient stuff, so please delete that part.
Go Youngin has insane eyelashes. They’re thick and long, I’m so jealous... Also, Go Youngin and Kyeon Inwoo went to the same middle school, same high school.
└ Go Youngin aaaaahhh T_T his eyes are so pretty T_T people say he could sweep the yard with his eyelashes T_T
└ Holy shit;; they were classmates?? Why am I hearing this for the first time.
└ Yeah, Inwoo mentioned it in passing back at debut like it was nothing. But after that there was never any official confirmation and they’ve never talked about it again, so fans are just left standing there empty-handed...
└ Hm. It’s weird they went to the same middle/high school but fans don’t really know. Were they not close.
└ Or—lol—maybe they just don’t talk about it? Do they have to reveal their private life? lol Don’t go making baseless “reading between the lines” theories about the kids’ relationship.
└ People like you are probably why celebrities get exhausted for real. They debuted together, they’re doing fine, and they’re living a better life than you, so mind your own business lol
└ Can’t I even say what I think? Why are Zero One fans so sensitive; this is awkward.
└ “Sensitive,” my assㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ You started by saying some trashy shit, then when Aions say something back you try to paint fans as “sensitive,” that stinks like rancid bullshit. Keep living your life like thatㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Cheon Sayun has an angel face but his shoulders are insanely broad and his hands are long and big...(Officially, he has the broadest shoulders and the biggest hands among the members)
└ As expected, my mom’s son-in-law candidateㅎ
└ Are you out of your mindㅡㅡ
└ His face itself is an angel, sureㅎㅎ; should I say his name buff really did its job?
└ What do you mean by that comment above? That’s kinda…
Does anyone know what the comment was before the Sebin post got edited... I’m so curious I can’t sleep. Since writing only this makes the thread pointless, I’ll toss one TMI. Our youngest, Jaeho, is the tallest and biggest-built among the members! (Up until a year ago he was the smallest, memories…)
└ It’s just a rumor, don’t worry about it. This is an info thread about the kids, so comments like this are a bit… It’s not a hugely bad story, but still, fans don’t need to be out here making rumors.
└ It’s nothingㅋㅋㅋ basically there was a rumor Im Sebin is a rich family’s young master, but I think people talk because it’s a family with kind of a bad imageㅋㅋㅋ

[Anonymous Entertainment Chat] I’ve got pretty good instincts and there’s a boy group that kinda gives me bad vibes [11]

Just my opinion, no beef.
I won’t name names. It’s just, the face-read is like that. Like at a glance you can tell, “Yeah, that personality probably isn’t normal,” you know?
In particular, in this group there are a few members whose eyes or face feel weirdly… intense and unsettling.

Are you a physiognomist?
└ For real, when is the “bad-vibes sommelier” gonna die?
Who is it? hehe I’m curious, drop names
└ Same, just say who it is. We’ll listen and judge for you.
└ [OP] It’s a 5-member boy group.
└ If it’s 5 members then it’s obviously Zero One, isn’t it? lol
What the fuck, the comments are a mess
└ You said you weren’t dropping names and then you pulled that shit, huh? lolololol
Don’t feed the troll.
‘The reaction isn’t insanely bad, though?’
It had been a while since searching Zero One and seeing comments this clean.
It was almost weirder that there weren’t any unconfirmed rumors, slurs, or troll bait.
This kind of thing didn’t really hurt much. Back then, Zero One had been getting such a nationwide rainbow assortment of insults that this would’ve felt like cute banter by comparison.
If anything, it was a relief that it was only this level.
Sometimes there were posts that made his heart drop so hard he almost blurted out, “How much do you even know?” but…
Once he started searching, it never ended. Sometimes there were even fans who knew more about Zero One than Go Youngin himself, which was honestly embarrassing.
Go Youngin didn’t have anything else to do in the van anyway, so until they arrived at the agency, he killed time by diligently searching Zero One again.
***
In the internal conference room, not only the Zero One members but also the agency CEO, the director, the choreographer, the stylist, the producer, the A&R team, and other staff had gathered for Zero One’s comeback concept meeting.
Normally, they’d picture the concept and the image they’d promote with first and then proceed, but this time the title track was already decided, so they were going to set the concept to match that song.
Go Youngin and the members were seated facing each other in small clusters of two or three.
Cheon Sayun kept a smile on his face the entire time and focused on the meeting. Next to him, Im Sebin stared holes into the planning document. Beside Go Youngin, Kyeon Inwoo had his chin propped up, doodling on the paper. And Pyo Jaeho sat there with his mouth shut tight, wearing a face that gave nothing away.
‘Was it always like this before, too?’
Go Youngin from the past remembered just going along with it, more or less, and doing whatever they told him to.
The staffer’s presentation of the planning deck wasn’t bad overall, and the other staff’s reactions were fine, too.
It just wasn’t to the liking of the final decision-maker: DD Entertainment’s CEO, Kwon Daedo.
Throughout the presentation, Kwon Daedo kept nitpicking, and even just looking at the expression, it was obvious something didn’t sit right.
Kwon Daedo suddenly slammed a hand down on the table with a bang, after tapping it with restless fingers the whole time.
‘What the hell, fuck.’
Go Youngin blinked out of habit.
What’s with that? He could see the staff, unable to say anything because the other guy held all the power, doing nothing but watching the mood.
The members also started paying attention to the CEO’s out-of-nowhere behavior.
Kwon Daedo felt the eyes on him and, with a satisfied smile, brought both arms up like supports and rested them under his chin.
“So in the end we’re going with fresh-and-bright?”
“Yes. Since it’ll be released in July to match summer, it also blends well with the tropical house genre. It fits the purpose of being a summer special album.”
While continuing the presentation, the staffer calmly answered Kwon Daedo’s repeated questions without furrowing even one brow, responding with the same explanation that had to have been said like twenty times already.
“Haa… it’s all good. It’s all~ good! But as you know, this Zero One lore is dark, and kind of unstable, and gloomy, and like that, right? Huh? This isn’t the first time, so why are we doing this?”
‘That damn lore.’
In K-pop idol culture, there was a fictional setting called “lore.” A concept you could call the foundation of the group’s identity and concept, maybe.
In Zero One’s case, there was a highly fantasy-style lore built on an apocalypse with no dreams and no hope.
Putting everything else aside.
‘Fuck, why do you want a dreary, dark concept on top of a tropical-house-style song, of all things.’
If they left it like this, later on Kwon Daedo was absolutely the type to say, “See? The concept and song don’t match,” and insist they change the song.
Before, they really had changed the song halfway through.
Luckily, the album didn’t completely flop, but it also didn’t blow up.
Kwon Daedo was the kind of person who got excessively, hopelessly immersed in Zero One’s lore.
On top of that, Kwon Daedo’s taste had always leaned toward gloomy and slow rather than bright and fast.
Thanks to that pointless stubbornness, every single title track music video Zero One had released so far contained a bleak story tied to the lore.
Of course, the lore wasn’t guilty of anything. Most idols these days built their own lore and used it as a concept, and even fans who called it cheesy still secretly enjoyed it.
There were also fans who hated it because it felt like too much.
But the lore for the group called Zero One had an apocalypse—meaning the end of humanity—baked in at the base, and it was a mishmash lore combining sci-fi and fantasy, so overall it felt less hopeful and more… the opposite.
In other words, so-called dark concepts, gloomy concepts, heavy concepts were the main thing.
So the stage outfits and makeup were all intense or had a grim vibe.
There had been a “school uniform” concept at least once, but he’d heard fans barely even counted it as a uniform concept, because instead of the old-school, youthful coming-of-age vibe they’d expected, it was brutal and hopeless and the mood was the exact opposite.
‘And for no reason, there were realistic centipede-like bugs crawling around, so it got dragged by everyone except a few freaks with niche tastes…’
Of course, there were plenty of fans who liked that heavy atmosphere.
But no matter how good a concept was, milking it nonstop for two straight years—there was no way people wouldn’t start talking.
This title track, if you really got down to it, was a concept that suited bouncy, bright-and-fresh, the kind of thing Zero One was trying for the first time.
But with the CEO cutting it off like that, the other staff couldn’t give a proper answer either, because they were too busy watching the CEO’s mood.
‘Ha-ha, insane.’
Maybe coming back to right after debut wasn’t a benefit at all, but a disaster.
No matter how he thought about it, it felt like the Status Window had scammed him.
