Sunlight shone through the clouds, illuminating the silver teaching buildings of Taman Academy.

The academy was built around a central lake, with structures extending to the east, south, west, and north—each area designated for one of the four major gifted academies.

The inner ring closest to the central lake was the residential area, mainly consisting of dormitories for teachers and students, along with several cafeterias providing food and nutrient solutions.Full novel: Confirmed: The Strongest Wage Slave in the Interstellar Age — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The next outer ring consisted of the general classroom buildings, separated from the dorms by flowering plants.

General courses were taken by students from all four academies together, mainly to familiarize them with the matter and biological habits of different planets. Gifted individuals often traveled to different star systems to explore more planets. The teachers’ offices were also concentrated in this area.

The outermost ring, with relatively shorter buildings, was where students studied their specialized courses and underwent training.

Having finished a bottle of intermediate nutrient solution, Cang’er leisurely carried the glass tube and strolled toward the academic office. Using her light-brain communicator, she sent a message to Mia: “On my way!”

She quickened her pace without looking back and tossed the empty glass tube behind her. It landed precisely in the glass recycling bin.

Taman Academy’s academic office was divided into intermediate and advanced levels, handling students with different levels of talent. Within the range determined by the testing pillar, talent was further subdivided into Low Level 1, 2, 3, then Medium Level 1, 2, 3.

Since high-level gifted students were rare in Taman City, no separate advanced classes were established. Therefore, Cang’er and Mia would join some large classes in the intermediate level while receiving one-on-one lessons from specialized teachers. For example, Dean Ji Feng had already taken Cang’er as his apprentice and would personally teach her how to control her spiritual power.

At this moment, students were coming and going at the entrance to the intermediate academic office.

The moment Cang’er appeared, the new students who had seen her testing yesterday gasped: “That’s the girl from yesterday, Cang’er, blue high-level talent.”

After her talent assessment yesterday, she had stayed in Ji Feng’s office reading books, refusing to leave. The books Ji Feng had given her covered mecha materials from across the galaxy, with notes detailing his experience using them. These fantastic, sci-fi materials fascinated her.

Just like a skilled fashion designer must understand fabrics, these mecha materials were her “fabrics” for designing mechas. Once she realized this, Cang’er fully adapted to her identity. This wasn’t just coming to the galaxy to be a fashion designer—if she was first at designing clothes, she would also be first at designing mechas! Ha, half of this is already in my field!

Hearing the quiet murmurs around her and seeing the shocked, envious, or curious looks, she ignored them automatically, her five senses sharpened after her spiritual power growth.

A few steps into the office, she saw Mia running happily toward her and hugging her arm.

Cang’er actually disliked physical contact with others, but with Mia, it seemed fine.

“I brought you breakfast!” Mia said, pulling a bottle of pink, strawberry-flavored high-level nutrient solution from her small bag.

“Thanks.” Cang’er smiled slightly and drank it all in one gulp.

“This is the enrollment form you need to fill out. I got it for you.” Mia handed her a sheet after Cang’er finished breakfast. It contained basic information like height and weight. The talent and age fields were already filled in: 14, blue high-level.

Cang’er took the form, pressing her tongue to her cheek, and silently wrote 141 cm for her height— she had grown a centimeter recently thanks to good nutrition. Seeing Mia write 140 cm, she felt a little better. Two little short girls: one picky, one malnourished.

Once the form was filled, she handed it in.

Behind the academic office desk sat a middle-aged teacher in a gray suit and, on the other side, the mustachioed teacher from yesterday, smiling at Cang’er.

“Hand me your student ID cards,” the gray-suited teacher said.

Mia took out her green crystal card. Cang’er looked at it and helplessly glanced at the mustachioed teacher.

“Teacher, my card?” she reached out.

“You were in a hurry yesterday and forgot it,” he said, then handed a blue crystal card to the graysuited teacher.

“Thank you, teacher, for keeping it safe.” Was she in a hurry yesterday? Or did she just want to leave quickly?

“All right, you two have been granted advanced talent permissions. You can use these to choose dormitories in the designated area. You are entitled to three high-level nutrient solutions daily in the cafeteria, and you have free access to the library. Student IDs are important for entering and exiting the school—take good care of them.”

After speaking, the gray-suited teacher returned the cards and collected one gold coin each as tuition.
