Late at night, a car was speeding along the road, letting out a loud vroom—vroom sound. In the quiet of the night, the noise was exceptionally prominent.

Inside the car, Su Yi uninhibitedly stepped on the gas pedal. Driving in the dead of night like this, she was probably the only oddball around, right?

That’s right, Su Yi had placed both Da Huang and Mimi in the back seat, letting them out to go a little wild too.

“Boring~” Mimi said with a deadpan expression, and Da Huang didn’t look overly excited either.

Fine! She was the only one hyped up. This was probably just a novice driver’s obsession with driving! It worked out perfectly though—the middle of the night meant no one was around, making it a great time to drive without drawing attention. She wouldn’t have to worry about bumping into people first thing in the morning or being overly cautious the whole way.

“This decision of mine was simply brilliant!” Su Yi said happily.

At two in the morning, Su Yi parked the car near the city gates. Turning off the ignition, opening the door, and stepping out was executed in one smooth motion.

In an instant, both the person and the car vanished on the spot. Su Yi was afraid that the soldiers guarding the city gates might catch a sound. She was quite bold today, parking rather close to the city gates, so she flashed away immediately.

As soon as she entered her dimension, Su Yi collapsed onto her large bed to rest. She hadn’t had a proper rest all day, and she fell asleep in no time.

The next day, Su Yi slept until she woke up naturally. Checking the time, it was already twelve o’clock. This was probably the latest she had ever woken up since coming to this world.

“Time to get up!” Su Yi let out a long stretch, speaking with a face full of energy. Right after, she quickly washed up, ate a combined brunch, and flashed out of the dimension.

At one o’clock in the afternoon, Su Yi entered the city carrying her basket on her back. Her destination was very clear—the Jinxiu Pavilion.

“New clothes, here I come!” Su Yi muttered as she marched straight ahead. Her walking pace was fast, and she arrived before long.

The moment Su Yi stepped through the door, she spotted Big Sister Li and immediately said, “Big Sister Li, I’ve come to pick up my clothes!”

There were currently no customers inside the Jinxiu Pavilion. Big Sister Li was sorting through bolts of fabric and called back, “Sister Su, you’re here? Hold on a moment, I’ll go get them.”

“Sure, I’m not in a rush,” Su Yi said, taking the opportunity to look around the shop to see if any new goods had come in.

“Sister Su, here! They’re all right here. Check them over to see if everything is correct and how the garments look.”

Hearing this, Su Yi took the items and inspected them carefully, finding that they were all very well-made without any issues. She then said, “They look great!”

“Here, this is the remaining balance! Thirty liang and five hundred copper coins, please count it.”

Big Sister Li accepted the coins, gave them a brief glance, and said, “It’s exactly right! Sister Su, do you need anything else?”

“No, that’s plenty!”

Su Yi had already looked around just now; the stock was the same as last time, with no new styles.

“Big Sister Li, you get a lot of people passing through here, do you happen to know if there are any shops for sale? I’m thinking of starting a small food business.”

“No, I haven’t heard of any! I usually don’t pay attention to that sort of thing. How about I keep an eye out for you?”

“No need, I’m not in a hurry. You get back to work, I’ll be heading out first!”

“Alright, take care! Come back whenever you need anything, Sister Su.”

Su Yi chorused an agreement, quickly turned around with her basket, and departed.

Leaving Jinxiu Pavilion, Su Yi headed straight for Dean Tang. She wanted to sell more medicinal herbs; herbs held a much higher value, and she needed to accumulate more money if she wanted to buy a shop.

Ten minutes later, Su Yi arrived at Dean Tang.

This time, Dr. Zhao happened to be tending the clinic in person. An apprentice asked Su Yi to sit to the side and wait a bit, and Su Yi nodded in agreement.

Sitting on the stool, Su Yi perked up her ears toward Dr. Zhao, listening closely to how he diagnosed the patients to see if she could pick up some medical knowledge. However, Dr. Zhao wrapped up his consultations after just a short while. Su Yi felt a bit of regret in her heart that she hadn’t managed to learn anything.

Spotting Su Yi, Dr. Zhao proactively initiated the conversation, “Girl, do you have medicinal herbs again?”

“I do, Dr. Zhao! I brought some really good stuff this time.” After Su Yi spoke with a mysterious smile, she slowly retrieved three ginseng roots from her basket.

The ginseng roots all looked quite old and were roughly the same size, each easily over a century old—even larger than the ones from last time. They had all been preserved and prepared wonderfully by Su Yi.

“Girl, these ginseng roots have full bodies, intact root fibers, and excellent overall quality!” Dr. Zhao said with immense excitement. Looking closely, even his fingertips were trembling; it had truly been a very long time since he had seen such pristine ginseng.

“Girl, five thousand liang, how about it? I’ll take all of them!” Dr. Zhao said, looking quite pained at the price but determined.

“Alright, I trust you! I also have some other medicinal herbs here.” Once Su Yi finished speaking, she pulled out all the remaining herbs. This time, the herbs had all been processed by her beforehand, giving her plenty of confidence.

“These are quite good this time. Girl, did you process all of these yourself?”

“Yes, I did! I’m learning how to do it.”

“You did an excellent job,” Dr. Zhao praised without stinting.

“Really? That’s wonderful!” Su Yi put on a pleasantly surprised expression, though internally she thought: Of course, I actually studied this.

Dr. Zhao had his apprentice weigh the herbs, which came out to two liang of silver. Moments later, Dr. Zhao brought out four thousand liang in banknotes and one thousand liang in silver ingots, along with two liang of loose silver pieces from the counter, handing them all over to Su Yi.

Su Yi accepted the money with a face full of delight, packing it securely into the small cloth bag slung across her shoulder.

“Girl, make sure to come back whenever you have more herbs in the future!”

“Mm, alright! My name is Su Yi, I will definitely come back! I’ll take my leave now.”

Seeing Dr. Zhao nod in acknowledgement, Su Yi turned and stepped out the door. She hadn’t asked Dr. Zhao if there were any shops for sale nearby, since the result would likely be the same as with Big Sister Li—after all, everyone coming here was seeking medical treatment. She planned to head over to Baiwei to sell some game and ask Shopkeeper Zhang instead, as she would likely gather some information there.

Su Yi’s petite figure threaded through the streets, and before long, she arrived at Baiwei.

It was already three o’clock in the afternoon, long past the rush hour for lunch, and only a few scattered tables were occupied. Su Yi spotted Shopkeeper Zhang at a single glance. “Shopkeeper Zhang, I’ve come to sell some game,” Su Yi said, walking up to him.

“Ah, it’s you, Miss Su. Let me have a look.”

Su Yi pulled back the cloth covering her basket. When Shopkeeper Zhang looked inside, he saw a basket completely packed with wild pheasants and hares. They all looked incredibly fresh, as if they had just been hunted—excellent!

“I also have a large wild boar tucked away at the alley entrance outside! Do you want it?”

Hearing this, Shopkeeper Zhang quickly said, “Yes, yes, absolutely! Let’s go take a look.”

Along the way, Su Yi wanted to ask Shopkeeper Zhang about the shops, but it suddenly occurred to her that if she opened a restaurant, she would become Shopkeeper Zhang’s competitor. It was better not to ask; what if it made him uncomfortable in the future? Even if they couldn’t possibly be selling the exact same dishes, it was safer to save the trouble and simply inquire at a property agency later.

In no time, the two arrived at the alley. Su Yi pulled back the cloth, and when Shopkeeper Zhang saw it, his front teeth bared in a wide grin—this wild boar was truly massive, easily weighing over two hundred jin.

Shopkeeper Zhang had the waiter weigh it, totaling thirty liang of silver, which was quite good. Holding the money, Su Yi nodded with satisfaction. Realizing it was still early, she decided to order some food to take out!

“Shopkeeper Zhang, does your establishment do takeout? It’s still early, so I’d like to buy some dishes to take back for dinner!”

“We can do that, though it’s a bit pricey since we have to pack them in food boxes.”

“That’s perfect, I’ll order a few more dishes then!”

Su Yi ordered several of Baiwei’s signature dishes. She had found them delicious during her last visit, and it would make a nice change of pace for her palate.

The kitchen at Baiwei prepared the food very quickly. Before long, all of Su Yi’s dishes were packed up. Using her basket as cover, she transferred all the food straight into her dimension.

“Eight liang, here you go. I’ll head out first!” Su Yi said, handing the money to the shopkeeper.

Taking the money, Shopkeeper Zhang added, “Miss Su, remember to bring any game you hunt over to us next time as well!”

Su Yi chorused her agreement, turned around, left Baiwei, and made her way toward a property agency.
