When the sunbeams filtered through the large windows of the modern villa, illuminating the room, Kiyone was the first to wake up.

She fluttered her eyes open, greeted by the blank wall in front of her.

Immediately after, she felt a massive wave of warmth against her back.Full novel: Cote: White Room Harem — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Kamiki was still holding her tightly from behind, his arms wrapped securely around her waist.

His breath tickled the nape of her neck.

Kiyone’s face instantly flushed a brilliant crimson.

She could feel her cheeks burning.

*This pervert…* she thought, slightly gritting her teeth.

The previous night, they had made a definitive agreement.

He had promised not to touch her anywhere else.

Yet, Kamiki’s hand hadn’t stayed still for a single moment throughout the night.

Kiyone had felt everything in her sleep.

That hand had wandered all over her body, completely violating their boundaries.

The truth was, Kiyone didn’t hate it.

In fact, deep down, she had secretly enjoyed those strange touches.

Even so, she was utterly embarrassed.

Her heart began to race so fast it felt as though it would burst through her chest.

Kiyone tried to move carefully, wanting to slip away from Kamiki’s embrace.

However, even in his sleep, Kamiki wouldn’t let her go.

His arms tightened further, pulling her body completely flush against his.

“Kamiki-kun…” Kiyone whispered, her voice faint and helpless.

“Wake up already.” Kamiki mumbled softly from behind her, burying his head deeper into her hair.

He seemed to have absolutely no intention of letting her leave.

Left with no alternative, Kiyone remained frozen in place, paralyzed by the intense blush burning across her face.

As she lay there helplessly, her racing pulse refusing to slow down, the warmth behind her intensified.

Kamiki’s hands on her waist moved subtly.

They began to slide upward, inch by inch, painfully slow.

Eventually, his hands found their way directly to Kiyone’s breasts.

Kiyone’s face instantly went dark.

Her eyes snapped wide in shock as her embarrassment turned into a sudden realization.

This movement could not be a sleep reflex.

It was too deliberate.

Too precise.

Kamiki was awake.

He had been faking it the entire time.

Kiyone’s reflexes kicked in instantly.

She lunged forward, twisting her body sharply to break free from his grasp in a single, fluid motion.

She bolted upright in bed, tossing the blanket aside.

Turning back toward Kamiki, her face was bright red with fury.

“Pervert!” Kiyone shouted, her voice echoing off the bedroom walls.

“Didn’t we have an agreement last night?!” Kamiki didn’t even flinch.

His eyes remained closed.

He stretched lazily, letting out a sleepy murmur as he turned to the other side of the bed.

He was determined to play his role to the very end.

“Kamiki!” Kiyone hissed.

“I’m talking to you!” There was no response from Kamiki.

His breathing remained perfectly steady and rhythmic.

“I know you’re awake,” Kiyone said, gritting her teeth.

“There is no way your hand wandered up there in your sleep.” Kamiki still didn’t react, committed to keeping up the charade.

Kiyone’s patience snapped completely.

Unable to take it anymore, she lunged toward the edge of the bed, placing both hands firmly on Kamiki’s shoulder and waist.

Without an ounce of mercy, she shoved him hard.

Before Kamiki could register what was happening, he rolled right off the bed, plummeting toward the hardwood floor.

*THUD!* A loud crash resounded through the room.

Kamiki landed flat on his back, a portion of the blanket sliding down with him.

“Ah…” Kamiki groaned.

This time, he wasn’t faking it.

It actually hurt.

Opening his eyes, he stared up at the ceiling from the floor.

“So you’re finally awake,” Kiyone said, looking down at him from the bed.

She crossed her arms over her chest, her gaze cutting like ice.

Kamiki slowly propped himself up on his elbows.

A surprised yet smug smirk played on his lips.

“That was a bit harsh, Kiyone-chan,” Kamiki said, his voice now perfectly smooth and vibrant.

The sleepiness had vanished entirely.

“You deserved it,” Kiyone retorted.

“You gave me your word last night.

You said no touching.” “And I kept my word,” Kamiki said as he used the bed for leverage to stand up, brushing himself off.

“I didn’t touch you last night.” “Don’t lie!” Kiyone snapped.

“Your hands were restless the entire night.

I felt everything.” Kamiki sat down on the edge of the bed, leaning in closer to Kiyone.

“You felt everything?” he asked, locking his eyes onto hers.

“And you didn’t stop me?” Kiyone froze.

Caught off guard by the question, she didn’t know how to respond.

She felt cornered.

Her cheeks caught fire all over again.

“I…

I was asleep,” she stammered.

“Then how did someone who was asleep notice it?” Kamiki countered.

“I just…

I just didn’t want to react,” Kiyone said, turning her head away.

“But what you did this morning crossed the line.” Smiling like a commander who had just won a decisive victory, Kamiki rose from the bed and took another step toward her.

“You didn’t say anything about what I did during the night,” Kamiki remarked, his tone teasing.

“But you throw a massive tantrum when I do the exact same thing in the morning, Kiyone-chan.” Kiyone averted her eyes, clenching her jaw.

“Because at night…

I thought you were asleep,” she said defensively.

“Oh?

Really?” Kamiki purred, slowly circling around her.

“Or did you just happen to enjoy it?” “Don’t be ridiculous!” Kiyone yelled.

“Don’t be so shy,” Kamiki said, devoid of any reservation.

He stepped closer with complete nonchalance.

“They will belong to me eventually, anyway.” Kiyone’s face burned even hotter at his words, the blush spreading all the way to her ears.

She stared at Kamiki in utter disbelief.

“You utter pervert!” Kiyone flared up, trembling with rage.

“What are you even talking about?” “Just stating facts,” Kamiki replied without hesitation.

“How exactly do I belong to you?” Kiyone demanded, her voice rising.

“I am no one’s property.” “I never said you were property,” Kamiki said, his gaze piercing into her golden eyes.

“But you will be mine.

You know it too.” “I would never accept such a thing,” Kiyone said, her chest heaving heavily.

“We are merely comrades.” “For now,” Kamiki whispered.

“But you can’t run away.

It’s just the two of us here.” “I’m done talking to you,” Kiyone said sharply.

“I’m going to my room.” She spun around and took a step toward the door, trying desperately to suppress the anger boiling inside her.

Suddenly, Kamiki moved.

His strides were incredibly fast.

Before Kiyone could even reach the door, he cut off her path.

Kiyone tried to halt, but Kamiki grabbed her by the shoulders, swiftly spinning her around to face him.

“Let me go!” Kiyone snapped.

Kamiki didn’t answer.

Giving her no chance to protest, he leaned down and planted a swift, warm kiss on Kiyone’s cheek.

Kiyone flinched in shock.

She tried to pull back, resisting with all her might, recalling the evasion techniques she had mastered back in the White Room.

Unfortunately, Kamiki was one of the only two people in this world who was stronger than her.

Resisting him was futile.

Kamiki slowly pulled away, his lips leaving her cheek.

He looked into her eyes with a mischievous glint in his expression.

“Good morning,” Kamiki said, his voice velvety smooth.

Kiyone stood rooted to the spot, her golden eyes wide with shock.

The lingering warmth on her cheek completely derailed her train of thought.

For a few seconds, she couldn’t do or say a thing.

Then, taking a deep breath, she attempted to mask the chaotic turmoil inside her.

“Good morning to you too, Kamiki-kun,” Kiyone murmured, her voice barely a whisper.

The moment the words left her mouth, she capitalized on the loosening of Kamiki’s grip and darted backward.

She hurried toward the door, threw it open, and bolted into the hallway without looking back.

Sprinting to her own room, she slipped inside and slammed the door shut, burying her back against the wooden frame.

Her heart was pounding frantically against her ribs.

She quickly pressed her hand against her cheek, touching the exact spot Kamiki had kissed.

Her face was now exponentially redder than before.

Meanwhile, left alone in his room, Kamiki stared at the door.

The smirk on his lips widened.

He slipped his hands into his pockets.

“Truly flawless skin,” he muttered to himself.

From downstairs, the faint sounds of Matsuo moving around and clattering dishes reached the upper floor.

Kamiki walked over to his wardrobe and began selecting his outfit for the day.

His first morning in the outside world had turned out to be far more productive than he had anticipated.

Changing quickly, Kamiki threw on a black linen shirt.

After adjusting his hair in the mirror, he stepped out of his room.

He walked down the stairs at a leisurely pace.

The rich aroma of breakfast engulfed the lower floor, and the dining table was heavily laden with food.

Matsuo was putting the finishing touches in the kitchen.

Kiyone was already seated at the table.

Seeing her, Kamiki paused for a fraction of a second, his lips curling upward.

She had completely reverted to her usual self, putting back on the flawless mask from the White Room.

Her face was like a wall of solid ice, devoid of even a shred of emotion in her golden eyes.

She sat straight, maintaining a dignified posture.

Kamiki found the contrast highly entertaining.

This icy girl, who was so detached and unreachable in front of everyone else, turned into a flustered, furious mess only when she was alone with him.

This exclusive privilege thoroughly stroke his arrogant pride.

Approaching the table, Kamiki pulled out the chair directly opposite Kiyone and sat down.

Kiyone didn’t spare him a single glance, keeping her eyes fixed on the plates in front of her.

“Good morning, Shirogane-sama, Ayanokoji-sama,” Matsuo said as he emerged from the kitchen, placing fresh orange juice on the table.

“I hope you both slept well.” “We slept wonderfully, Matsuo,” Kamiki replied, his eyes never leaving Kiyone.

“The bed was quite comfortable.

Wouldn’t you agree, Kiyone?” Kiyone’s frozen expression didn’t waver in the slightest.

Her voice was flat, almost mechanical.

“Yes.

It was a highly efficient resting period.” Matsuo smiled warmly.

“I am glad to hear that.

Please, enjoy your meal.” A quiet serenity enveloped the room during breakfast.

Kiyone ate her food in small, elegant bites, completely ignoring Kamiki’s presence.

Kamiki, on the other hand, thoroughly enjoyed watching her futile efforts to ignore him.

Once they finished eating, Matsuo asked for permission to clear the table.

Kamiki and Kiyone moved into the spacious living room, settling onto the large, luxurious couches.

Kamiki turned on the television to check the news updates regarding the outside world.

Kiyone sat with her legs crossed.

Though her eyes were anchored to the screen, her mind was still replaying the events of the morning.

She couldn’t shake off the warm sensation on her cheek.

Just then, the loud ring of the villa’s main iron gate echoed through the living room.

*RINGGG!* Kiyone’s gaze instantly snapped toward the entrance.

Kamiki straightened up on the couch.

Matsuo hurried out of the kitchen.

“I will get that, sir,” he said, heading toward the front door.

A moment later, footsteps approached from the hallway, followed by Matsuo’s hospitable voice.

“Please, come in.

They are in the living room.” Yuki was the first to bounce into the room, dressed in her usual casual yet stylish attire.

The moment her eyes locked onto the duo, her face lit up.

Someone was walking right behind her.

As soon as Yuki stepped inside, her focus went straight to Kamiki.

A massive smile broke across her face.

Without wasting a single second, she lunged forward.

“Kamiki-kun!” she cried out.

Unable to contain herself, she practically threw herself onto him, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck.

“I missed you so much!” she exclaimed excitedly, her voice ringing through the room.

Kamiki took a step back to maintain his balance, offering a soft smile.

Kiyone straightened up on her couch, her golden eyes narrowing instantly.

She couldn’t stop the strange surge of discomfort rising within her.

Even if she didn’t want to admit it was jealousy, it bled into her tone.

“You just saw him yesterday,” Kiyone said coldly.

“There’s no need for that much hugging, Yuki.” Yuki slowly pulled away from Kamiki, though she kept her hand resting on his shoulder.

She turned to glare at Kiyone, pouting her lips.

“You don’t get a say in this, Kiyone-chan,” Yuki said, her voice laced with a hint of grievance.

“You get to stay here with him all day.” “What does that have to do with anything?” Kiyone asked, trying to maintain her stoic mask.

“It has everything to do with it,” Yuki countered, turning back to Kamiki.

“You live together with Kamiki-kun.

You don’t know how painful it is to be apart from him.” Kiyone didn’t reply.

She averted her gaze, feeling a slight tightness in her chest.

Kamiki raised his hand and placed it on Yuki’s soft hair, gently stroking it.

“Alright, alright, Yuki,” Kamiki said, his voice reassuring and gentle.

“Calm down.

I’m happy to see you too.” Soothed instantly by the headpat, Yuki’s expression relaxed.

She closed her eyes, savoring the moment.

Meanwhile, Kamiki’s gaze shifted to the other girl standing at the threshold of the doorway.

He had a very clear idea of who she was, but he needed to act as if he didn’t.

“So,” Kamiki began, gesturing toward the girl in the back.

“Who is this?” Yuki snapped her eyes open and took a step back in excitement, grabbing the other girl by the arm and pulling her forward.

“Ah, I forgot!” Yuki cheered.

“This is my younger sister.” The girl allowed herself to be pulled forward by Yuki, though her sharp, detached expression remained entirely unchanged.

She kept her arms crossed over her chest.

“Sakurako Tsubaki,” Yuki announced proudly.

“She’s a year younger than us.” Tsubaki took a step forward, looking directly into Kamiki’s eyes.

“So, you’re Kamiki Shirogane,” she said, her voice icy, concise, and direct.

“My sister never stops talking about you.” “Is that so?” Kamiki replied, solidifying his charming facade.

“I hope she only had good things to say.” “Just unnecessary emotional details,” Tsubaki remarked dryly before shifting her gaze to Kiyone.

“And you must be Kiyone Ayanokoji.” Kiyone stood up from her couch and stepped forward to face Tsubaki.

It felt as though two blocks of ice were squaring off.

“Pleasure to meet you, Tsubaki,” she said evenly.

Tsubaki acknowledged Kiyone’s aloof greeting with nothing more than a slight nod.

“So, Yuki,” Kamiki intervened.

“How is your family?

Have you forgiven them?” Yuki’s previous cheerful demeanor instantly wilted.

She cast her eyes downward, her shoulders slumping slightly.

“I don’t know,” she whispered.

“I haven’t talked to them much.

Everything still feels so alien.” However, Yuki didn’t stay in that somber mood for long.

She suddenly snapped her head up, her eyes gleaming as she turned back to Tsubaki.

“But I absolutely adore Tsubaki-chan!” she beamed.

Before Tsubaki could even process what was happening, Yuki pounced on her.

She locked both arms around her younger sister’s neck, pulling her close and pressing her cheek firmly against Tsubaki’s, squeezing her as if she were a plush teddy bear.

“Isn’t she adorable, Kamiki-kun?” Yuki asked while squishing Tsubaki’s face.

Tsubaki’s icy, serious mask shattered instantly.

Her eyes widened in sheer shock.

“Sister…

let go,” she said sharply.

Tsubaki immediately tried to pull back, twisting her body to break free.

However, she had failed to calculate one vital factor: the person holding her wasn’t a normal human from the outside world.

Yuki was a White Room student.

Escaping a White Room student was an impossible feat.

Within milliseconds, Yuki anticipated which way Tsubaki would move, deadlocking her arms and making her grip unyielding.

“No, I won’t!” Yuki insisted stubbornly.

“I said you’re cute!” Tsubaki struggled helplessly, stamping her feet against the floor.

She was left entirely defenseless against this sudden, overwhelming display of affection.

“Sister, this is highly illogical,” Tsubaki choked out, her voice strained.

“You are violating social distancing protocols.” While Tsubaki scrambled to free herself, Kamiki watched the entire scene from his spot with keen interest.

His eyes swept over Tsubaki.

*She really is cute…* Kamiki thought to himself.

She looked significantly more beautiful and captivating in person than her depiction in the original story.

Tsubaki had already secured a guaranteed spot in his future plans for this world—or more accurately, his secret harem list.

Finding out she was actually Yuki’s biological sister was an unexpected, massive bonus.

Leaning back into his seat, the dark, possessive desire inside him awoke once more.

Imagining a future where both of these sisters, Yuki and Tsubaki, would wake up in the same bed completely belonging to him filled him with an indescribable thrill.

“Yuki, you’re going to suffocate the poor girl,” Kamiki intervened smoothly.

“Alright, I’ll let her go, Kamiki-kun,” Yuki pouted.

She released Tsubaki with a slight frown but had no intention of remaining idle.

She swiftly turned back to Kamiki, sidling up right next to him with absolute ease.

Grabbing his right arm with both hands, she unhesitatingly pulled it flush against her chest.

Yuki was incredibly proactive, never feeling the need to hide her emotions or desires.

Ever since stepping into the outside world, she had been acting entirely on impulse.

Seeing this move, Kiyone tensed up significantly on her couch, her hands clenching into fists over her lap.

The cold wave of anger inside her was on the verge of breaking through the surface.

“Can you go a single minute without clinging to someone?” Kiyone questioned, her voice tight with suppressed irritation.

Yuki rested her head on Kamiki’s shoulder and playfully stuck her tongue out at Kiyone.

“Nope,” she chirped.

“I feel safe next to Kamiki-kun.

Why do you care, anyway?” Sakurako Tsubaki, who had managed to retreat a few steps away, stared at her sister in utter bewilderment.

This situation completely defied her logical boundaries.

The sister she had met just yesterday was incredibly high-energy, and that boundless enthusiasm was already exhausting.

Furthermore, it wasn’t just about energy.

Tsubaki’s eyes locked onto where Kamiki’s arm was currently buried.

*And now she just goes and holds a man’s arm like that…* Tsubaki thought, stunned.

Tsubaki cleared her throat, adopting a stern tone.

“Sister,” she lectured.

“Your actions are entirely inappropriate according to societal moral standards.” “Standards are boring, Tsubaki-chan,” Yuki countered, squeezing Kamiki’s arm a bit tighter.

“Besides, Kamiki-kun isn’t complaining.

Right?” “Not at all,” Kamiki smiled, his lips curling upward.

“In fact, I quite enjoy it.” He didn’t pull his arm away from Yuki’s embrace.

Instead, he shifted his body slightly toward Tsubaki, locking his eyes directly onto hers.

“Actually,” Kamiki added, deliberately dropping his voice to a lower, smoother register.

“You’re welcome to take the other arm, Sakurako-chan.” Tsubaki froze right where she stood.

Her brain momentarily failed to process the proposition.

She felt a sudden, intense wave of heat rush straight up to her ears.

Within seconds, her face turned bright red.

This sudden blush wasn’t just due to the shocking, morally questionable offer she had received.

It was also because this man, despite having met her only a few minutes prior, had addressed her directly by her first name.

“Sakurako-chan?” Tsubaki hissed, her voice trembling with a mixture of embarrassment and indignation.

“You have no right to address me so familiarly.” “Why not?” Kamiki asked, maintaining his effortless composure.

“If you’re Yuki’s sister, that practically makes you family to me.” “We just met,” Tsubaki asserted, taking another step back.

“Furthermore, you…

you are an absolute pervert.” Meanwhile, Kiyone was practically radiating fury from her seat.

Kamiki’s nonchalance, Yuki’s brazenness, and now Kamiki’s blatant attempt to drag Tsubaki into his little game…

She ground her teeth together.

“That’s enough,” Kiyone commanded, her voice cutting through the playful atmosphere like a blade of ice.

Everyone’s attention snapped to her.

Kiyone stood up, arms locked tight across her chest, her golden eyes practically flashing with sparks.

“We have work to do,” Kiyone stated, each word dropping like a shard of ice.

“We need to head out.

We are wasting valuable time.” “Fair enough,” Kamiki conceded, keeping his voice flawlessly calm.

“Let’s wait for Shiro to arrive, and then we’ll leave.” With that, they all settled into the couches, waiting for Shiro’s arrival.
