A new chapter is up.

Come in, get comfortable, and let’s see what kind of trouble waits this time ❤️ ✦ Following the map, Nolan and Tali reached the seventh floor together.

The seventh floor’s room resembled a cliffside chamber.Full novel: Danmachi: Gatebound — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Its scale was already comparable to the large plaza inside Babel, an extremely broad space.

From where he stood, Nolan could see several different entrances and exits leading up and down.

He chose a position.

“Here.” This spot stood at the highest point in the room, with a view of several entrances.

“Tali, here.” Nolan stood in place.

He took several ballistic plates from Spatial Storage.

These medium-sized plates were meant to be set up as protection against stray bullets and ricochets.

“Mr.

Ward, what are those?” Tali looked at them and did not understand why he had brought plates.

He was making a safe zone for her.

“Take out the lure.” When she heard that he wanted the lure, Tali obediently poured several pieces of special monster lure from a pouch at her waist.

Once lit, that lure would attract Dungeon monsters.

Nolan looked at the lure.

Then he released a large device from Spatial Storage.

Inside the device were small military drones, each fitted with a small hook.

Nolan took the lure and tied five pieces to five small drones.

“Ready.” He put the control device back into Spatial Storage and began using mental power to operate the console.

The five drones that had been sitting in place came alive with the sound of electric motors.

Their rotors whined violently.

Nolan removed his specialized ballistic helmet and tossed it to Tali, then put on his VR goggles.

Five different cameras appeared in his vision.

“Go.” Nolan directed the five drones toward the routes leading to the eighth, ninth, and tenth floors.

The sharp, ear-piercing engine noise vibrated through the passages.

“Amazing.” Tali had watched the whole process.

When she saw the five drones fly out, she finally believed Nolan had no intention of making her bait.

At the same time, those things shocked her.

They moved as if they were being controlled directly, charging into the various floor entrances to attract more monsters.

The drones were very loud.

When they flew low, their noise could be heard clearly from a short distance, and with monster lure attached to them, the effect was even stronger.

The noise made the monsters riot.

“Awooo!” A series of beastlike roars rang out.

In every direction the five drones flew, they attracted batch after batch of monsters.

But Nolan was not satisfied.

One piece of lure had fallen from a drone hook.

“Still not tied securely enough?” Nolan had not expected the lure to fall so quickly.

Fortunately, because the drones made such irritating noise, once the monsters realized the fallen lure was not human, most of them did not stay.

They kept chasing the drones.

Even so, some monsters remained where the lure had fallen.

At the same time, adventurer parties hunting monsters in the passages and rooms of those floors noticed the disturbance.

“What happened?

Who started a Monster Party?” Some seasoned adventurers noticed the situation.

There were far too many monster roars.

For adventurers sensitive to monsters, the scene was unmistakable.

This was a Monster Party.

“Not just a small one.

That is a large monster gathering.” A scout-type adventurer quickly used a skill to listen from a distance.

He realized the commotion was not a small Monster Party, but a genuine large-scale monster gathering.

“What?” The party leader’s eyes flashed with surprise.

They were a small party in Orario, capable of moving within the first twelve floors.

Even so, facing a large monster gathering was basically suicide.

Then their Pallum scout Supporter ran back.

“Bad news.

A lot of monsters are heading toward the seventh floor.” “I saw quite a few chasing something in that direction.” The Supporter’s words startled every member of the party.

The mage beside them spoke.

“Could someone be gathering monsters?” To the mage, this did not feel like a Monster Party.

It felt more like someone was gathering a large number of monsters for a hunt.

“This is not a Monster Party.

It is more like a monster herd hunt.” The mage sensed the difference sharply.

The sword-wielding leader heard the mage and felt the same.

“Should we go see?” The leader wanted to know what kind of lunatic would do this.

“Let’s look.” The masked assassin glanced over and gave his opinion.

They needed to see what kind of lunatic dared to try.

Someone that insane had to be beyond ordinary insanity.

“All right.” The other party members agreed.

Only the Pallum Supporter did not want to go, but he knew he could not refuse.

The party advanced in that direction.

This scene, naturally, did not attract only one party.

A Monster Party always drew attention from nearby adventurers.

Anyone capable of going below the sixth floor usually belonged to an organized party.

Many wanted to get away, but even more wanted to know what lunatic was doing this.

One party after another approached the seventh-floor chamber where Nolan and Tali waited.

The moment they stepped into the entrance, they saw a massive number of monsters gathered inside.

Above them, five strange floating things gave off a harsh rotor whine and kept provoking the monsters.

“That is monster lure.” Some adventurers had sharp eyes.

They noticed what was tied to those things.

It was definitely monster lure.

The terror of monster lure was that it attracted great numbers of monsters.

Even a party would usually have to flee from such a herd and would not dare approach.

But now, they were seeing someone use a strange method to draw those monsters into this chamber.

Then a voice suddenly rang out from the walls around the chamber like a deep loudspeaker.

“Disappear.”
