A new chapter is up.

Come in, get comfortable, and let’s see what kind of trouble waits this time ❤️ ✦ Because they were inside Hephaestus’s workshop, there was no convenient place to hide what they were doing.

Hestia sat astride him, held out her smooth left hand, and pricked the skin of her finger with a needle.

A drop of divine blood fell onto Nolan’s skin.

In this world, adventurers were made through a god’s unique contract.

Divine blood helped open the potential inside a mortal.

The instant that divine blood touched the skin of Nolan’s back, two vast forces collided.

The impact threw Hestia’s entire body backward.

Hephaestus saw the danger and immediately moved to catch her.

Nolan had already closed his eyes and fallen into a deep sleep.

A dazzling rainbow radiance burst from his back.

“What in the world is happening?” “Isn’t this supposed to be a contract?” Hephaestus had never seen a contract scene like this.

By all logic, an ordinary man like Nolan should not have caused this kind of problem.

The suspended drop of divine blood continued to press forward.

At the same time, something inside Nolan seemed to be pushing back against it, refusing to let it approach.

“My divine blood is being rejected.” “Does Nolan still have some special ability inside his body?” It was Hestia’s first time encountering anything like this.

But the radiance in front of them was growing stronger.

“Hey.” “Lady Hephaestus, what exactly is going on?” Tsubaki Collbrande, captain of the Hephaestus Familia, rushed inside.

The moment she entered, she saw the shocking scene in front of her.

“Tsubaki?

What happened?” Hephaestus had not expected Tsubaki to run in.

“Lady Hephaestus, you don’t know what’s happening outside?” “The entire building is covered by a pillar of light.” “There are two masses of energy clashing in the sky.” Tsubaki pointed outside.

The situation out there was not good.

“What?” Hephaestus had not expected the effects to reach outside.

She hurried to the window, pushed it open, and saw that crowds had already gathered.

The light had become a pillar that shot straight into the clouds above Orario.

Hephaestus understood at once that this was bad.

She quickly shut the window.

“Damn.

This just became a disaster.” Hephaestus knew she had a serious problem on her hands.

Tsubaki could see that her goddess was clearly anxious.

She knew a little of the situation, since she had personally handled the introduction.

That did not mean she understood what was happening now.

“Wasn’t this person here to make a contract with Lady Hestia?” “How did it turn into this?” If Tsubaki remembered correctly, this human had come here specifically to ask the goddess Hestia for a contract and become an adventurer.

How had it suddenly evolved into this?

Those words made Hestia catch onto something.

“The contract.” “I understand.” “A god’s contract helps the children of the Lower World awaken the potential inside them.” “Nolan has an ability that lets him travel between worlds.” “Maybe my contract is trying to help that ability inside him awaken its own potential.” Hestia remembered that Nolan had described himself as an ordinary man who had happened to gain the power to cross worlds.

The main purpose of the contract was to awaken the recipient’s potential.

If the person himself had terrifying potential, or if some ability he possessed could have its potential awakened again, then that ability would begin strengthening dramatically.

“That’s possible.” After hearing Hestia’s explanation, Hephaestus felt that it was very likely correct.

Nolan had said that he came from another world and knew them through works of fiction about this one.

In other words, he was an ordinary person.

After an ordinary person gained a powerful ability, it was only natural that he would look for a way to grow stronger.

Coming to them made sense.

But now it looked as if the unique power of this world, the power that awakened potential, was trying to break open the potential of his ability.

“No wonder the reaction is this big.” “How could an ability that crosses into other worlds ever be weak?” Hephaestus pressed a hand to her head.

“Tsubaki, gather the entire Familia immediately and maintain order around the area.” “Do not let anyone come close to this place.” Hephaestus gave the order at once.

“Understood.” After hearing the exchange between the two goddesses, Tsubaki understood that this boy’s ability was abnormal and terrifying.

Just opening its potential had caused a scene this large.

Even thinking about it felt absurd.

Tsubaki ran out quickly.

The only thing to do now was control the chaos caused by this incident.

That pillar of light had probably already drawn every god in the area.

As captain of the Hephaestus Familia, intercepting those gods was the most important problem.

Adventurers could come second.

Just as Tsubaki and Hephaestus suspected, the pillar of light was visible across all of Orario.

Freya, who lived atop Babel, saw it clearly.

“What is that?” “A god’s presence…

and what is the other one?” As a goddess, Freya could clearly sense something being pried open.

In a god’s eyes, that divine presence was unmistakable.

The other thing, however, was harder to describe.

It seemed to contain something endless.

That divine presence was trying to pry open a corner of it.

“Ottar, come with me.

I want to see what’s happening.” Freya’s divine eyes could not see the existence inside that light.

If she dared to look directly, even her divine eyes might be burned.

She was not foolish.

So she would go to the place where the light had appeared.

“Yes, Lady Freya.” Ottar understood that he was to depart as her guard.

If even Freya, who loved watching entertainment unfold, was moving personally, the other gods would not stay still either.

The instant that light appeared, those gods seemed to sense a spectacle in the making.

The light was dazzling.

The divine presence was unusually powerful.

Just as Freya had seen, the gods could all sense that a divine presence was forcing open something hidden.

A scene like this was almost unheard of.

Naturally, they started moving at once.

Hephaestus’s order, however, had been faster.

Tsubaki immediately gathered the members of the Hephaestus Familia to secure the surrounding area and prevent anyone with bad intentions from approaching.

The Hephaestus Familia had its own grounds.

The surrounding buildings were residences for its members.

They could lock the place down tightly.

Tsubaki’s order was direct: do not worry about adventurers.

The priority was stopping the gods and keeping them from coming near.

For the moment, the situation held in a tense but orderly balance.
