Gingerly, he nibbled the hand with his canine tooth before lapping it with his tongue. Before long, he was rewarded with a trace of sweetness in his mouth.

In a split second, pleasure surged forth and filled his entire body to the brim. Subconsciously, he held his breath, wanting nothing more than to pin this person on the chair and gobble him up. Only then would he be able to fuse Jing Xi into his body, never to part.

However, it was adamant that this was not the right time, and he could not afford to scare him off.Full novel: Debugging in Book Series — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He reined in on the surging waves of aggression in his body, his eyes downcast.

During that lapse of time, Jing Xi felt no hint of pain, only someone flicking their tongue back and forth across his wound. At that juncture, all he could do was tell himself that a dog was licking him.

Just when he was about to have System compare Duan Chi’s hormonal changes before and after consuming his blood, it suddenly dawned on him that the bracelet never went off. His heart began thumping, as he realized that he did not hear a single peep from this CEO’s phone throughout the entire journey. Without a second thought, he questioned, “Are you still keeping tabs on him with your GPS tracker?”

System answered, “No, I’m not. Isn’t he sitting right in front of you?”

After all, it was a waste of his fuel cell to keep tabs on him all the time. Since it was a rational system, there was no doubt that it would keep its energy consumption at its lowest.

As it said so, it checked on the tracker and discovered something alarming. “… His bracelet’s signal is gone.”

Its findings brought to mind the scene of Duan Chi making his way to the bathroom earlier. Jing Xi was certain that Duan Chi might have taken advantage of that time to report his bracelet as unserviceable. Thinking about that point, he could not refrain from regarding this situation as somewhat unfair for him to accept. “Are you done?”

Only after Duan Chi managed to restrain his emotions did he release Jing Xi. Watching him with an intent gaze, Duan Chi responded, “Yes, thank you.”

As the aircraft made its descent ever so slowly, Jing Xi unfastened his safety belt and thanked Duan Chi before walking away without looking back.

Since there were far too many matters that needed to be dealt with at the castle, his two-faced family had yet to return. As such, only the AI system in the house greeted him, just as before. On seeing this, a warm feeling bloomed in his chest, as he petted the butler on the head. He then made his way to his room to gather some of his stuff and drove a sports car back to the Zhou family’s old mansion.

Stepping into the mansion, he summoned that Artificial Stupidity of his and enquired about the next bug.

System notified, “Currently, there are 1,041 remaining bugs. You can find the next few bugs on the university campus…”

“Hold on,” Jing Xi interrupted, “You mean to say that the next ones are linked bugs?”

System explained, “That’s right. If the female lead has yet to break up with the scumbag, all the bugs engendered from this scenario would be recorded. Now that they have broken up, these bugs would cease to exist.”

After contemplating for a moment, he questioned, “What’s the node that changed the world?”

System answered, “It is an unprecedented solar particle event[2].”

Due to the failure of the Transmigration Department and tremendous amounts of energy, every single world was hit by a host of disasters in varying degrees. Here, Planet Howe would undergo a natural disaster.

Nonetheless, the flap of a butterfly’s wings could set off a tornado, let alone a solar particle event.

As a result, some met their ends, some left their homes to seek refuge elsewhere, while others unexpectedly made new friends… One after another, events began to expand in their trajectories and gradually affected countless people in their path. Ultimately, they became the key factor that brought about 1,048 bugs into this world.

Following the current storyline they were in, this solar particle event hindered transportation as the female lead’s father planned to travel for his business trip. What this meant was that he had not fallen into a coma due to an accident; ergo, the female lead failed to break up with the scumbag.

System informed, “This solar particle event has something to do with the next bug. There are two students living in the affected area who failed to earn a place at Gese University because they were unable to attend school at some point. It just so happens that they are the reason for the first time the male lead meets the female lead. Now that that is gone, you will need to think of a way for them to meet.”

Even so, its words received a lukewarm response. “Since they are destined to be together, why don’t we let nature take its course?”

“No, that will not do!” System refuted, “Since Gese is such a prestigious university, it is no doubt that its campus is so massive that some students do not have a chance to meet throughout their four years in the university.”

Jing Xi assured, “It’ll be fine. You should have a little faith in your male and female leads.”

System exclaimed, “No way! Based on the original defective storyline, the female lead not only did not break up, but had also missed the appropriate occasion to meet the male lead. In turn, it placed her at odds with the male lead and engendered the subsequent bugs in quite a few areas. That is why you should, at the very least, let them start off on the right foot!”

Just as its final words fell, Jing Xi inwardly deemed this an easy feat. Without any further conveyance, he unbuttoned his shirt and made his way to the bathroom to take a bath.

At the same time, Duan Chi returned to the villa he owned on Planet Howe.

The moment he alighted from the car, three tall and handsome young men came hurrying out. In the middle stood an individual who bore a slight resemblance to him was his nephew, Duan Xiuwen. As for the other two, they were his nephew’s childhood friends.

All three were Lupinus Mutants, who attained exceptional grades and gained a place at Gese University.

With full intent of having his nephew attempt to manage a branch office he had here, Duan Chi brought him over during his summer vacation. Meanwhile, his childhood friends’ families also did business over here in Howe. Hence, it also marked the beginning of their internships.

Since it was the weekend, they were not required to take up the role of a corporate slave[3] in the office. That was why they stayed at home.

Even if it were a working day, they would not be able to stay focused on their work, for they knew that Duan Chi was out to meet that young man. Although their uncle had always been so formidable that not once did his bracelet ring throughout these two weeks, they could not help feeling some trepidation about the possible occurrence of an unforeseen event.

“How’d it go, Uncle?”

“I suppose it’s nothing special even after meeting him?”

“I reckon there’s no need for you to keep in contact with him since you’ve been fine and dandy this past half a month. Perhaps, things will gradually be alright again after not seeing each other again!” Follow the newest chapters on g.com.

Instead of answering their questions, Duan Chi hurled two short sentences at them. “Transfer or retake. Choose one.”

With that, the three wolflings were totally taken aback by his words. “… What?”

Duan Chi disclosed, “My darling is studying at the same university as the three of you.”

The three wolflings were simply stupefied at the mention of ‘Darling.’

Their first reaction was to figure out whether this was something he could even bring himself to say, as it was undoubtedly unlike him to have uttered that!

Their second reaction was to recall how he would always educate them to be strong-willed and not to give in to superficial desires. In the end, had he actually decided to compromise as soon as he met the other?

Only after a few seconds had their third reaction been to curse that they were studying at the same university as that killing machine!

The research institute had long since sent them a message to draw their attention to the young man and his special physical stats.

Apart from wishes of good health for their families, Lupinus Mutants’ greatest wish was to remain single, lead a peaceful life, and never to have the misfortune of meeting ‘that scent.’ Upon receiving this message, they spent their days traveling back and forth between two places — their home and the office. After all, they did not dare to wander anywhere, fearing they might also be affected.

Much to their dismay, Duan Chi had actually informed them that that particular individual just happened to be their schoolmate!

‘Transfer! We must transfer to another university! Otherwise, attending lessons on the campus would be equivalent to putting our lives at stake!’

Since it had been keeping an eye on the male lead, System got ahold of some vital information in an instant.

While he was taking a bath, Jing Xi could hear System begin his bout of crying. Lazily, he hurled a word at it. “Speak.”

The distraught System exploded, “Because of all your antics, my male lead is finished, kaput!”
