Anger surged up, but it wasn’t entirely wrong. His head already throbbed from the hangover, and it was only getting worse. Not to mention the faint, lingering pain in a certain unmentionable area.

I should just—

Just as that thought crossed his mind, something suddenly clicked.

Wait.

Bliss was still looking up at him with a face full of concern. As if he had no idea he was the root of all of this.

But there was a way out. After all, this brat was still just a brat.

“Well… a little.”

Cashian deliberately lowered his voice, pressing a hand to his forehead.

“I didn’t sleep well, I guess. I’m not feeling great.”

“I knew it!”

Bliss immediately shouted as if he had expected it. Seizing the moment, Cashian forced a faint smile.

“In that case, Bliss. I think I should rest today. Will you play by yourself? That’s okay, right?”

“Uh….”

Caught off guard, Bliss blinked blankly. Of course he would—he had probably been expecting to spend the day together.

But Cashian had no intention of that. Maybe he had, just a little, but now that thought had completely vanished. All he wanted was to get rid of this troublesome brat and lie in bed all day.

“Ugh….”

Cashian quickly shut his eyes, putting on a pained expression and clutching his forehead. Seeing that, Bliss panicked and nodded quickly.

“Okay, I understand. Cashian, go rest. You’re going to lie down, right? I’ll take you—come on, let’s lie down quickly!”

Bliss rushed over, jumping up and grabbing his hand. Cashian had to lean heavily in the direction the child pulled him, but he didn’t care. Half-dragging him, Bliss hurried down the long corridor and reached his room, then stood on tiptoe to grab the doorknob.

“Hurry and lie down.”

The child personally led him to the bed, made him lie down, and even pulled the sheet up over his shoulders before finally looking at his face.

“You’ll get better quickly if you sleep well.”

“Got it. Thanks, Bliss.”

He spoke with the clear implication of now leave, and the child nodded as expected, turning around.

“Hey.”

Just as he reached the door, Bliss suddenly stopped and turned back. Of course, not leaving in one go. Cashian forced a smile.

“Yeah? What is it?”

Bliss hesitated, then carefully asked,

“You have a cold, right?”

“Uh….”

Caught off guard, Cashian paused for a moment, then quickly nodded with a smile. The kid probably didn’t even know what a hangover was. Saying it was a cold made for a convenient excuse.

“Yeah, that’s right. So you shouldn’t come in here. If the virus spreads, that’d be bad.”

“Okay.”

Bliss nodded obediently.

“Then rest well, Cashian.”

Waving goodbye, the child finally opened the door and left. Just before it closed, his bright smile somehow felt ominous—but fortunately, nothing happened.

Phew.

Lying on the bed, Cashian let out a sigh. The long-awaited peace finally arrived, and he stretched.

He planned to stay in his room all day. No more disasters, thank you.

More precisely, no more Bliss Miller.

Correcting himself inwardly, Cashian smiled faintly and closed his eyes. He hadn’t realized how precious quiet rest could be. Forget wild, chaotic vacations—this kind of uneventful calm was the best.

Fatigue suddenly hit him. Not surprising, after drinking all night. Maybe he’d sleep a while and go out again in the evening. The car he took yesterday should be back by now…

Over the past few days, he had finally been enjoying something like a proper vacation. Fishing all day with friends, hanging out with women at clubs, and soon he would spend a night drinking around a campfire and jumping into the lake.

This was what a vacation should be.

A faint smile formed on his lips as he drifted off to sleep—

Creak…

With an ominous sound, the door slowly opened, and a small figure quietly slipped inside.

Ha… ha….

His breathing felt strange, uneven. Cashian frowned and took deep breaths.

What is this? Why again? This feeling… he had felt it before. This is—this is definitely—

His eyes snapped open.

For a moment, he was confused.

Déjà vu? Or am I dreaming?

Still unable to distinguish reality, he blinked.

Because once again, a small, round-faced child was sitting on his chest, staring down at him.

“…Bliss?”

He muttered uncertainly, when suddenly Bliss pulled something out. Before Cashian could even ask what he was doing, the child shoved it straight into his mouth.

“Mmph—”

Before he could react, Bliss declared confidently,

“Patient, do not move!”

Cashian froze completely.

What the hell is this ridiculous situation…?

“Wait, don’t talk while holding the thermometer! Trust your doctor and follow instructions. I’ll take care of everything.”

The child spoke with utmost seriousness.

Except what was in Cashian’s mouth was a stick biscuit.

The sweet, salty taste filled his mouth, leaving him speechless. Meanwhile, Bliss placed a hand on his forehead and nodded gravely.

“No fever. I’ll give you some medicine.”

Why use a thermometer and then check with a hand? And if there’s no fever, why give medicine?

Finally, Cashian snapped.

“What exactly are you doing right now?!”

“Ahh!”

The same situation as earlier repeated itself. The only difference was that this time, Cashian barely managed to catch Bliss before he could tumble off the bed again.

“What are you doing? I told you not to come in if it’s a cold!”

Sitting the child upright, Cashian scolded him, but Bliss showed no sign of being intimidated.

“That’s why I came—to make you better.”

Before Cashian could even say who do you think you are, Bliss beamed and shouted excitedly,

“I’ve never seen someone with a cold before! I wanted to try this—taking your temperature, giving you medicine!”

At that moment, Cashian realized he had made a grave mistake.

Extreme alphas do not get colds.

And in the Miller family, everyone except one was an extreme alpha.

Which meant—he was the first “sick human” Bliss had ever seen.

“Ha… ah….”

A fragmented sigh escaped him.

Bliss was now jumping around the bed, chattering about giving medicine, bringing water, doing all sorts of things. In the end, Cashian’s plan to spend the day resting collapsed completely, and as Bliss loudly declared that he needed to administer a suppository, Cashian chose to escape into sleep.

A cold sensation on his forehead woke him.

Opening his eyes, he saw the same round face right in front of him again.

Completely worn down by the endlessly repeating situation, Cashian asked in a tired voice,

“What are you doing now?”

“I put a wet cloth on your forehead to lower your fever.”

Bliss proudly tapped the soaked cloth resting on his forehead. The effort was commendable—but the cloth wasn’t even wrung out, and water was dripping everywhere, soaking his hair and pillow.

With a sigh, Cashian sat up.

“Are you okay? Are you better? You’re supposed to stay in bed for a whole day!”

“No, I’m fine. I’m all better. Thanks.”

Reciting the words mechanically, Cashian watched as Bliss tilted his head, unconvinced.

“Now just—”

“I brought soup!”

Before he could tell him to leave, Bliss suddenly shouted and jumped off the bed.
