Avur was in a forest.

He sat down on a rock and was surrounded by green light – fairy magic.

This meant that fairies were nearby and were using their magic to remind people of past time.Full novel: Die;REPEAT – Trapped in a World Where I Don’t Belong — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Avur remembered everything he had done in his life: the bullying, the pranks, and his fondness for villains.

He even remembered his parents.

They were violent and had often hurt him.

First, he was yelled at, then hit, until finally his parents used their fists.

When he was seven years old, his aunt and uncle found out and rescued him, giving him a good home.

Avur was still often angry and took it out by constantly bullying others.

Avur suffered a nervous breakdown: “Why, why do I have to be shown this?

I don’t want to remember the times when I cried and begged my parents for mercy, it was the worst time of my life.” Avur said, crying and trying to think of something else.

He is shown as a child, with spiky black hair, a torn T-shirt, dirty black trousers, disheveled hair, a face covered in bruises, lying on the ground crying, knees drawn to his chest, wishing for a happier life, with dark circles under his yellow eyes, and contemplating suicide to end his suffering.

Maybe I should end my suffering…

It would be best if I just died…

thought Avur’s younger self.

Until his uncle and aunt came to the house, saw his condition, and took him out while crying and calling the police, they didn’t know that Avur’s parents would do this to him.

After all, he’s just a child.

Avur awoke shortly afterwards, thinking he was safe.

He wiped the tears from his eyes and stood up.

But unfortunately, he wasn’t alone.

When he turned around, he saw a gigantic worm, a so-called beast worm.

These worms eat humans and anything else they can perceive with their hearing and sense of touch.

They have no eyes, are gigantic—about fifteen meters long—and don’t have a mouth, but rather a kind of hole with sharp, monstrous teeth that they use to burrow through the ground.

That’s how they move.

Sweat trickled down his forehead.

“Damn it, is that a monster???” Avur backed away and ran.

“I’m not letting that bastard eat me!” Avur ran off without looking back.

Avur sprinted blindly through the trees, the ground shaking behind him as the fifteen-meter beast worm plowed through the dirt, driven by its acute hearing.

Desperate, Avur lunged into a dark cave opening filled with towering, ancient stone statues.

The massive worm roared and slammed its body into the cave entrance, shattering the statues into millions of pieces.

The impact caused the cavern floor to split open.

With a terrified cry, Avur tumbled down into the darkness, crashing heavily into the hidden depths below.

He found himself standing before a massive blue altar door inscribed with strange symbols.

He went in with a wide grin on his face: “HAH, that worm won’t get me if I go in here!” Avur entered the cave and saw purple flames on the torches everywhere.

There were no more statues, but there was a purple sphere on an altar.

Next to it lay a book containing some kind of magic.

Avur looked around cautiously.

The room seemed safe.

The altar room again had strange symbols and was colored blue—on the floor, the walls, and the ceiling.

“I have no idea who left this here, and I don’t care.” He moved closer to the book and picked it up.

“It’s just a stupid book,” he said, sounding bored and grinding his teeth in annoyance.

Avur opened the book, read it, and felt a sharp pain in his chest.

He gasped for air for a few seconds and sank to his knees.

He slammed the book to the ground and said, “What the hell is this?”.

Avur lost consciousness for a few seconds.

When he came to, he saw that everything was still normal, apart from the sounds of the beast worm that had heard him and was hammering its massive body against the huge door, trying to bite its way through.

Avur felt a shiver run down his spine at the thought that this worm still wants to eat him.

“Damn it, this worm’s hearing is too good,” he said to himself, searching for a way out of this altar room.

I don’t have much time… Avur thought, desperately searching for a way out.

He read the book about ancient artifacts and forbidden magic and found the same purple orb.

It said it helped one acquire magic, but not which kind.

Avur tried everything, but in vain.

He only had a few seconds before the beast worm could enter.

Just one more second… He was powerless.

The beast worm burst in and lunged at Avur.

He was afraid to die.

Without Isoka’s healing, he knew he would die.

And if he died here, no one would find him.

The beast worm burst through the blue altar door, its monstrous, tooth-filled maw wide open.

He had no weapons.

He had no magic.

He had only a single second.

In a final act of pure survival instinct, Avur grabbed the purple orb from the altar and shoved it into his mouth, forcing himself to swallow the strange magical artifact whole.

He closed his eyes, bracing for the burning pain and the worm’s teeth, wishing he had never entered the cave.

Then, everything went dead silent.

He opened his eyes and found himself in a completely new environment.

He was neither in Weldring’s kingdom nor in the cave, but in the Kingdom of Quelixa, a realm where all kinds of creatures lived together peacefully and harmoniously.

He didn’t know how he had gotten there.

He had believed that the beast worm had killed him.

A demon approaches Avur.

He has red hair, fiery red-yellow eyes, and sharp teeth.

He has fair skin.

He is not wearing any outer clothing, only white trousers, and is slim but muscular.

He is kind and friendly.

“Hey man, everything okay?

You look like you’ve seen a ghost.

First time here?

There’s always something going on, but you’ll get the hang of it quickly.

My name is Daxxel Orphenix, you can call me Dax, and what’s your name?”

Avur was shocked.

He never thought anyone would speak to him.

After all, he had bullied many people and was therefore feared.

Avur breathed a sigh of relief; at least the people here spoke the same language as in the Kingdom of Weldring.

But apparently, no one in this world knew that Avur came from another world.

Avur said, “My name is Avur Syofor.

Do you perhaps know where I can find an inn?

I have traveled a lot and am not very familiar with this kingdom.” Avur was a little nervous; he didn’t know how to react to being spoken to so normally.

After all, he had been mistreated in this world for a whole year; he had suffered too much to lose anything more.

And he harbored the faint hope of finding friends here, leading a normal life, and forgetting all the villains he had admired.

Daxxel gave him a reassuring smile: “Of course, just follow me, Avur.”

And so they both went to the inn.

Thanks for reading, guys!
