Pixie was speechless…

had they really just run off and left her behind?

Pixie simply followed the two from a distance.

After all, they attend the same class.

She entered the classroom and took her seat.

Everyone was already seated; Pixie sat in the middle and Daxxel in the back.

Finally, the new exchange student entered the classroom, and it was none other than Avur Syofor.

The boy everyone else stared at because of his unique appearance and his self-sewn school uniform.

The teacher spoke up: “Go and introduce yourself to your new classmates.” The teacher was clearly strict, wasted no time and got straight to the point.

Avur mustered all his courage; his boorish manner had vanished.

He wanted to change and lead a normal life with his friend Daxxel.

He stood bolt upright and saluted, unsure how else to pose.

He didn’t want to look boring and was quite nervous.

“My name is Avur Syofor.

I hope we all get along well.”

Some students whisper to each other, while one says: “Dude, who does he think he is?

He shows up here in this weird school uniform and then stands there in this strange pose.

Ridiculous.”

Avur heard them, but pretended not to notice.

He stood there awkwardly, wishing he were invisible.

He hadn’t thought he’d mess it up so badly.

Some giggled, others were intrigued by this strange human.

Humans are rare, not found everywhere in Quelixa.

They fear being killed by dragons, demons, or other creatures.

Humans are considered the weakest, yet also the strongest beings, as some exceed the expectations of other races.

Pixie said to her friends, “Perhaps he’s strong; that could be why he’s here.

Or perhaps he simply wants to learn how to fight or use magic.”

The teacher spoke up: “Quiet, we’re continuing with the lesson.

But first, Avur, you can call me Ms.

Luma.

Take an empty seat and be quiet.”

Avur nodded and sat down next to Daxxel, who waved cheerfully at him: “Everything alright, buddy?

You were standing there like a statue.”

Avur gave him a nervous smile.

“Yeah, well, that everyone’s talking about me like this, I never thought I could ever feel so uncomfortable.

At least you’re with me, Dax.”

Ms.

Luma gave them both a stern look: “As I mentioned before, today we are going to learn about advanced healing magic, and I would like you both to stop talking and start listening.”

Ms.

Luma continued, “Magic doesn’t heal blindly; the caster must clearly see bones, veins, and organs in their mind’s eye.

To use healing magic, one must know their own limitations.

One could die trying to heal someone.”

“There are three levels of healing: First, low-healing, which heals superficial wounds like scratches; second, normal healing, for which one must master the basics of healing magic; and third, divine healing magic.

This allows one to clearly visualize the body of any race and to see where the mana is weakest or where the body is experiencing pain, even without visual perception.

It also heals seemingly incurable wounds.

That is why it is classified as a Z-rank ability, as it can heal any wound and help people who have lost their sight or half their body.”

Avur’s eyes were wide open.

He knew someone with such healing powers… Isoka Hunter, who had tortured him for a whole year when he first arrived in this world.

Avur clenched his fists and muttered to himself, “That bastard possessed divine healing magic… no wonder he brought me to the brink of death countless times, just to heal me, and repeated it over and over again so I could suffer.”

Daxxel noticed Avur’s anger towards the person he was thinking of, but said nothing.

He didn’t want to make Avur even angrier, otherwise he might disrupt the class again.

He had devised a plan to distract Avur from his thoughts about Isoka Hunter.

He dropped his pencil and let it roll towards his desk, drawing Avur’s attention to the pencil and distracting him from his own thoughts.

Daxxel said, “Sorry, man, I accidentally knocked over my pencil, could you give it to me?”

Avur replied immediately: “Of course, with pleasure.” He returned Daxxel’s pencil and then turned back to Ms.

Luma, who had just finished her explanation of advanced healing magic.

Apparently, Avur hadn’t been listening to her, and now he was being paired with a randomly selected person.

Unfortunately, Avur was paired with Pixie.

Ms.

Luma overheard Pixie talking about Avur with her friends, so she paired them together herself, because Pixie can no longer talk about him with her friends in Avur’s presence; it would be too embarrassing for her.

Avur simply sat there, pondering what Ms.

Luma had said.

He had no idea that he had been paired with Pixie, who had simply sat down beside him without being invited.

Avur didn’t notice her, lost in his thoughts about how to use advanced healing magic.

Pixie grew impatient and whispered in his ear: “Are you still there or are you already completely lost in thought?”

He snapped out of his thoughts, finally noticed her, and backed away from her chair.

“Ever heard of privacy?

What do you want from me?”

Avur was visibly annoyed when he saw the same beastman-catgirl who had attacked him when he first entered Roswall Academy.

Pixie said quite directly: “We were paired up together, but I guess you didn’t notice, did you?

Well then, show me your healing magic.”

Avur scratched the back of his head and said, “Speaking of healing magic…

I wasn’t really listening to the teacher.

Could you show me your healing magic?

Maybe I can learn from you.

The teacher probably explained it poorly, and perhaps that’s why I wasn’t listening.”

Pixie narrowed her eyes in annoyance.

Since she has to show her magic first, she actually wanted to see his magic to see if he was the one she had thought of all along.

“Sure, just because she explained it so badly.

Maybe you should stop daydreaming so much.

But fine, I’ll show you my healing magic.”

Pixie demonstrated her healing magic.

She possessed advanced healing magic, a somewhat stronger form than ordinary healing magic.

However, the three levels of healing magic remain the three main levels, which is why advanced healing magic is not considered one of the four levels.

It is, in fact, far removed from divine healing magic.

With it, she can, for example, heal or regenerate an arm when she uses it on herself.

Pixie’s hands glow green—the color of healing magic.

Everyone in the classroom fell silent and watched as she demonstrated it to Avur, who was jealous because he didn’t even have a clue about magic.

Avur folded his arms and remained seated while other students gathered around him, just to watch Pixie.

I have to work harder, I can’t fall behind…
