Zhou Jin’s voice fell into the silent room.

It carried a raspiness he had not noticed himself, a mixture of irritation and a certain hidden anticipation. His gaze landed on the beautiful husband’s flushed cheeks, but he pulled away as if scorched. Upon noticing the other two men watching him, Zhou Jin cleared his throat and added, “Do not look at me. I do not like men.”

He deliberately struck an indifferent pose. Yet, his eyes seemed to disobey him, constantly drifting toward the glowing, soft body on the bed. Zhou Jin’s muscles were entirely tense. He did not realize that even when he had faced life or death situations in previous instances, he had never looked this much as though he were facing a formidable enemy. His previously steady breathing was now slightly erratic.

Wei Chi leaned against the doorframe with his arms crossed. His stern, handsome features were half hidden in the shadows. He did not speak, but he showed no intention of leaving. He simply watched the drowsy husband on the bed, his thoughts unknown.

Fu Chenyuan’s gaze swept over the two men before landing on the unconscious, beautiful husband curled up on the bed. Wine stains had spread into dark patches across his white clothing, defenselessly revealing a sliver of his waist, slender, supple, and dazzlingly white. The lines disappeared into his waistband. It looked as though he might break with a gentle snap.

Fu Chenyuan calmly looked away, surveying the master bedroom shared by the husband and his late spouse. Soon, he felt a cold, murderous gaze land on him. When he looked keenly toward the source, he saw the master of the house in the massive wedding photo above the headboard, staring at him with eerie green eyes.

He was a tall, handsome man of mixed heritage. The beautiful husband, dressed in a white suit and a lace veil, leaned against the man’s broad, solid chest. His sightless eyes were slightly curved as he held a bouquet, his pale, slender body trapped in the man’s possessive embrace.

Truly a mad dog.

Fu Chenyuan recalled the scene from earlier that day. Xie Mingyuan’s form was becoming more solid than before. It would likely not be long before he crawled back and found a way to kill them all, only to continue obsessing over his beloved wife. He wondered just how much the instance boss, now a vengeful ghost, had recovered.

Fu Chenyuan narrowed his eyes slightly at the unconscious husband, then turned to the other two players and said warmly, “Then I will do it.”

His voice caused the room to fall silent. It was as if even their breathing had stopped, leaving only the blurred, indistinct sounds made by the beautiful husband.

“You say you will do it?” Zhou Jin looked at Fu Chenyuan with an odd expression. In his impression, although Fu Chenyuan liked to act the part of an understanding gentleman, he was actually a person of high status and refinement. Moreover, his germaphobia was severe. Even with gloves to prevent skin contact, he usually refused to be touched by others, let alone offering to touch someone else.

Zhou Jin thought he was putting on an act. He had assumed that letting the little widower sit on his lap earlier was Fu Chenyuan’s limit, as the man usually disposed of people without mercy in such situations. He had not expected him to offer to bathe the man.

Has he gone mad?

Even Wei Chi, who had been silently watching the husband, looked over. He did not know Fu Chenyuan well, but he had seen all kinds of people. With a little observation, he could tell that beneath Fu Chenyuan’s warmth lay a heart more cold blooded and rational than that of a normal person. Rather than being infatuated with beauty, Wei Chi believed the man had discovered something and wanted to use the husband to test a theory. Thus, he watched without speaking.

Instead, it was Zhou Jin who frowned, as if failing to understand the situation. He let out a sneer. “You? Just make sure your hands do not end up wandering somewhere they should not while you are washing him.”

However, he was not entirely brainless. He quickly became suspicious again.

“Tch. Perhaps he does not even want you to wash him. What can you wash with those gloves on? Are you not a germaphobe?” Zhou Jin stared at the expression on Fu Chenyuan’s face, sensing something was wrong. An unsolicited favor usually hid a sinister motive.

Fu Chenyuan did not get angry with him. He looked calmly at the impatient Zhou Jin. “Then let him choose.”

He looked at the beautiful husband on the bed, who was currently frowning. The man was so delicate that he could not even endure this discomfort, and feeling the sticky sensation on his skin, he had already begun to secretly scold his late husband.

Fu Chenyuan’s expression remained unchanged as he walked over and lifted the beautiful husband from the bed, letting him lean directly against his chest.

“Mr. Lin, wake up. We are going to help you bathe and change into clean clothes.” Fu Chenyuan’s well defined fingers, encased in expensive black gloves, tilted the husband’s white chin and shook it slightly. “Who do you want to choose? Me, Zhou Jin, or Wei Chi?”

Surrounded by three tall men with broad shoulders and narrow waists, Lin Min opened his eyes in a daze. His brain was still foggy, and he only vaguely heard something about choosing someone to change his clothes. He blinked his sightless eyes and caught the scent of expensive cologne on the man.

Lin Min rubbed his flushed, pale cheek against the well trained muscles of the man’s chest. “Choose you.”

He felt that Zhou Jin’s temper was too bad, and Wei Chi’s fingers were too rough and painful. Lin Min made a dazed judgment, entirely unaware that he was choosing his late husband’s young subordinate to bathe him.

Zhou Jin, leaning lazily to the side, listened as the beautiful husband chose Fu Chenyuan without any hesitation. The resulting irritation made his sharp canine teeth itch inexplicably. However, he suppressed this groundless anger. He looked at the two leaning together and sneered, leaning down to pinch the soft flesh of the husband’s white cheek.

“So stupid. Do not cry later when you find you cannot even eat because of what happens.”

Zhou Jin stared at the oblivious husband. After speaking, he glanced at Fu Chenyuan once more and walked out with a dark expression. Wei Chi’s face remained the same. His gaze swept over Zhou Jin’s inexplicably clenched fists, and he followed them out of the master bedroom without hesitation.

The room fell completely silent. Fu Chenyuan watched the door close, then took off his high end suit jacket and set it aside. His firm muscles, previously hidden by the suit, easily lifted the tall and slender beautiful husband.

The temperature in the bedroom seemed to drop a bit more.

In truth, Fu Chenyuan had never quite figured out the pattern of the instance boss’s appearances in the villa. Perhaps he awoke due to strong provocation, or perhaps certain conditions needed to be met. Fu Chenyuan showed nothing on his face as he easily carried the husband into the bathroom. Looking at him, it was hard to imagine him serving anyone. He meticulously filled the tub and helped the husband out of his wine soaked clothes.

His long fingers, covered in black leather gloves, sank into the snow white, soft flesh. Although he had other motives, Fu Chenyuan could not help but be drawn into the situation as he watched. A red finger mark soon appeared above the beautiful husband’s knee. He was so soft he was almost impossible to hold.

The gentle smile on Fu Chenyuan’s face vanished, replaced by an unreadable emotion in his eyes. Yet, his gloved hands continued to dutifully wash the drowsy husband. Whether due to the texture of the fabric or a lack of control over his strength, the husband’s beautiful white legs were left in a mess. What should have been a normal cleaning looked as though the man had been subjected to cruel mistreatment. He let out a few pitiful whimpers.

Fu Chenyuan’s movements stopped. He stared at the white calf in his palm, momentarily stunned. The soft flesh spilling over his hand caused his breathing to tighten, a sensation rare for him. Before he could analyze this unfamiliar emotion, a surge of icy ghostly energy erupted.

Fu Chenyuan froze. The bloody, cold energy felt tangible, coiling around from all directions as if it could crush a person’s throat in an instant. The drowsy husband in his arms seemed to sense it, his calf twitching uneasily in the man’s palm.

Fu Chenyuan looked up. The mirror reflected his still calm face and the tall, grotesque shadow gradually taking shape in the rising steam behind him.

It was Xie Mingyuan.

Even if it meant defying the will of the instance, he was struggling to crawl out to kill the man who had laid hands on his wife.

Lin Min opened his eyes in a daze, the sudden drop in temperature clearing his consciousness slightly. Even soaking in the warm water, he felt a piercing chill. In a place he could not see, Xie Mingyuan, whose body was cracked like porcelain and leaking black blood, was staring at him.

To be precise, he was staring at Fu Chenyuan’s arm draped over his beloved wife’s waist. After a long silence, a terrifyingly tender smile appeared on his handsome, brooding face.

“Baby is so foolish.”

“Have you mistaken someone else for your husband?”

“Come to your husband’s side quickly. Mixing with vermin like this will only make you dirty.”
