“How did I become a Godzilla?”
(Godzilla is the race as well just info for those who dont know)
In the western sea region of the Douluo Continent, upon a desolate island untouched by civilization, a gigantic monster stood completely still while staring down at his unfamiliar hands and enormous body with undisguised confusion.
His former human hands were gone, replaced by massive claws covered in hard, black talons, while his body had expanded several times beyond anything a human frame could possibly possess, reaching a height of more than ten meters.
He slowly turned his head and looked behind himself, only to discover an enormous tail swinging violently from side to side, each sweeping motion whipping the surrounding air into gusts of wind before the heavy appendage struck the ground with dull, thunderous impacts.
He cautiously lifted one foot and took a tentative step forward, yet even that simple movement caused the ground beneath him to tremble slightly, making the entire island seem to shudder beneath the weight of his newly acquired body.
When he finally reached the shoreline and lowered his head toward the seawater, the reflection staring back at him gave him the answer he had been desperately trying to avoid.
He had actually transmigrated into a Godzilla.
“King of the Monsters, overlord of Earth—reincarnating as Godzilla really isn’t such a bad thing.”
He could not help sighing at his bizarre circumstances, but after only a moment of consideration, he surprisingly accepted the situation with remarkable calmness.
After all, Transmigration had already happened, and if he had been given a second life, becoming a Godzilla was hardly the strangest possibility imaginable.
The real question was which World he had actually arrived in.
Before he could organize his thoughts any further, however, a terrifying sensation suddenly erupted from deep within his body, completely overwhelming every other thought in his mind.
Hunger.
It was not ordinary hunger, either.
The sensation was so intense that it seemed to occupy his entire brain, leaving no room for anything except an almost primitive desire to consume whatever could possibly satisfy it.
If his stomach were capable of growling, the sound would probably have been loud enough to shake the heavens.
“Why am I this hungry?
Could taking those few steps really have consumed all my energy?”
He tilted his enormous head in confusion, but his body had already reached a conclusion before his mind could find an answer.
Eat.
That was the only thought remaining.
Eat!
Eat!
Eat voraciously!
Eat until the World itself goes dark!
Driven almost completely by instinct, he turned around and plunged straight into the sea, his gigantic body crashing through the water as he began recklessly absorbing the deuterium and tritium elements dissolved within it, using them to fuel the biological nuclear reactor contained inside his monstrous body.
For an ordinary creature, such an energy source would have been terrifyingly powerful.
For him, however, it was nowhere near enough.
It could not even satisfy one percent of the hunger consuming him from within.
Having no other choice, he abandoned the attempt to survive through elemental absorption alone and began following his instincts toward creatures capable of providing far greater amounts of energy.
“Awoo!!!”
A mournful whale cry suddenly echoed across the seabed.
Before the creature could react, a gigantic shadow had already descended upon it, and Godzilla’s massive claws slammed down with enough force to pin the Evil Demon Killer Whale firmly against the seafloor.
The whale struggled desperately beneath those terrifying claws, but its resistance lasted only moments.
Godzilla opened his enormous jaws, tore away its tail fin in one savage bite, and then swallowed its massive body piece by piece until nothing remained.
Before long, the Evil Demon Killer Whale had been devoured completely, leaving behind only a golden Spirit Ring floating upon the surface of the sea.
The sensation produced by the hunt immediately awakened something within Godzilla.
For the first time since his arrival, the unbearable hunger receded slightly.
More importantly, he discovered that consuming living creatures could satisfy his hunger far more effectively than simply absorbing elemental energy from the seawater.
That discovery completely changed his behavior.
From that moment onward, the surrounding sea became his hunting ground.
He hunted ten-year Spirit Beasts, then hundred-year Spirit Beasts, thousand-year Spirit Beasts, and even ten-thousand-year Spirit Beasts, consuming one after another without showing any sign of slowing down.
One creature disappeared.
Then another.
Then another.
With every hunt, his appetite remained enormous, yet the energy flowing into his body continued accumulating at an equally frightening rate.
As the days passed, Godzilla’s body became larger, his physical strength continued climbing, and the terrifying aura surrounding him grew increasingly oppressive.
For the creatures living in those waters, however, his arrival was nothing short of a catastrophe.
And for the nearby fishermen and Spirit Masters, it was an outright disaster.
“Has Lord Sea God still not returned yet?”
“Even the Sea Spirit Beasts near the island have practically become extinct.
Many people have been stuck at their current Rank for years because they cannot hunt a Spirit Beast and obtain a Spirit Ring!”
“Sigh!
That Vicious Beast has been eating for more than two years now.
We don’t even dare venture into the sea anymore!”
Inside the temple of Sea God Island, the seven guardians of the Sea God Pillars wore grim expressions as they listened to the reports arriving from the surrounding waters.
Five years earlier, Lord Sea God had reached Rank 99 as a Titled Douluo.
With the ambition of unifying the ocean and ultimately becoming a god through the establishment of faith, he had personally led his followers outward, conquering the various races and scattered tribes inhabiting the major sea regions.
For the first few years, everything had proceeded smoothly.
Lord Sea God swept across the ocean with overwhelming strength, while the seven Sea God Pillar guardians remained behind to oversee Sea God Island.
Under their protection, the island was as secure as an impregnable fortress, and almost no one dared provoke them.
That peace, however, had been shattered two and a half years earlier.
A terrifying Sea Spirit Beast had suddenly appeared.
It rampaged through the waters surrounding Sea God Island, devouring countless Sea Spirit Beasts and transforming the once-lively waters into a silent region filled with death.
The consequences were devastating.
If the islanders wished to hunt Spirit Beasts and obtain Spirit Rings, they now had no choice but to risk traveling into distant and unfamiliar sea regions.
The seven Sea God Pillar guardians had searched for months, yet despite their efforts, they could not find even the slightest trace of the mysterious Vicious Beast.
With no better option available, three of them had eventually been sent in different directions to search for Lord Sea God, hoping they could locate him and persuade him to return to Sea God Island as quickly as possible.
Yet two entire years passed.
There was still no news of Lord Sea God, while the situation surrounding Sea God Island continued deteriorating.
Then, one day, a voice filled with alarm and excitement suddenly erupted outside the temple.
“Lord Sea God has returned!
We are saved!”
A pale-blue figure entered the temple with an aura as magnificent and overwhelming as the tide itself.
It was none other than Poseidon.
The seven Sea God Pillar guardians immediately stepped forward and reported everything that had happened during his absence.
As Poseidon listened to their account, his expression gradually became livid.
He had never imagined that after leaving for five years to conquer the various races and tribes of the ocean, a single Sea Spirit Beast would be allowed to run completely wild in what should have been his own backyard.
As the Sea God, his goal was to establish faith throughout the ocean.
Yet he could not even protect the territory surrounding his own base of power.
How could he expect the various races to believe in him?
More importantly, how could he establish the unquestionable authority that should belong to the Sea God?
Poseidon’s anger finally erupted.
“A Vicious Beast dares bully my Sea God Island and seize the waters belonging to my believers!
Convene the Sea God Assembly!”
The people within the temple immediately straightened their expressions and answered in unison.
The Sea God Assembly was not something that could be summoned casually.
Since its establishment, it had only been convened three times.
The first had been held to celebrate Lord Sea God becoming a Titled Douluo.
The second had been held to celebrate his breakthrough to the Rank 99 Peak.
The most recent assembly had occurred five years earlier, when he had gathered everyone together to swear an oath before departing to conquer the major tribes and races scattered throughout the ocean.
Lord Sea God had always been fearless.
Even 100,000-year Spirit Beasts had never been enough to make him hesitate, and he had even used a 100,000-year Demon Spirit Great White Shark as his mount.
Theoretically, with the overwhelming strength possessed by a Rank 99 Titled Douluo, no Sea Spirit Beast should have been worthy of serious concern.
Yet now, because of a single Sea Spirit Beast, Poseidon had personally ordered the Sea God Assembly to be convened.
Clearly, this matter was far more troublesome than it appeared.
It had become serious enough that even Lord Sea God was forced to treat it with caution.
A few days later, the open space before the Sea God Temple was filled with gathered followers and warriors.
Poseidon stood at the center of the assembly and raised his trident high, first announcing his grand plan for governing the ocean before finally turning his attention toward the mysterious beast that had terrorized his territory for more than two years.
His voice rang across the gathering with unmistakable authority.
“This evil beast has been wreaking havoc for far too long.
Today, I, Poseidon, will personally set out to slay this beast, use its blood to sacrifice to the heavens and earth, and be crowned as a god!”
“Wishing Lord Sea God a triumphant victory!”
The crowd shouted together, their voices rolling across the open space like thunder.
“Depart!”
Poseidon leaped into the air and landed firmly upon the back of the 100,000-year Demon Spirit Great White Shark waiting upon the surface of the sea.
“Xiao Bai, let’s go!”
The declaration had been magnificent.
Unfortunately, reality proved considerably less cooperative.
Poseidon rode Xiao Bai away from Sea God Island, carefully following every trace and disturbance that might reveal the whereabouts of the mysterious Vicious Beast.
One day passed.
Then another.
Then a third.
Three days and three nights later, the man and beast were still drifting across the vast ocean, yet they had discovered absolutely nothing.
Poseidon’s patience finally began to wear thin.
“Xiao Bai, is there still no way to determine its exact location?”
His voice carried a clear trace of frustration.
For three days, he had not merely searched personally.
He had also mobilized numerous ocean tribes and ordered them to assist with the search, yet that mysterious Vicious Beast seemed to have completely evaporated from the world, leaving behind not even the slightest trace that could be followed.
The ocean had gradually returned to an unusual tranquility.
Somehow, that tranquility only made the situation feel more sinister.
“I still haven’t found it.”
Xiao Bai shook her head, her own voice filled with equal frustration.
“That guy should be somewhere nearby, but no matter how carefully I search, I simply cannot sense its exact location.”
“Awoo—!”
Without warning, an earth-shattering roar erupted from the distant ocean.
The sound rolled across the sea like a divine thunderclap, shaking the surrounding waters for thousands upon thousands of miles.
Monstrous waves immediately surged across the ocean surface, while an invisible pressure seemed to descend upon the entire region.
For a brief moment, it felt as though the World itself had fallen into a murderous state.
Poseidon’s eyes instantly lit up.
He turned sharply toward the direction of the roar, and the frustration that had plagued him for three days was replaced by excitement.
“There is a sea in the God Realm that you refuse to swim, yet you insist on seeking Hell when there is no door!
Xiao Bai, chase after it!”
However, unlike Poseidon, who was filled with excitement, Xiao Bai’s face had already turned deathly pale.
Her enormous body trembled faintly beneath him.
That roar had carried an overwhelming power that completely surpassed her own existence.
It was not merely a powerful beast.
It was a terrifying existence standing on a level that she could not even begin to comprehend.
Just from that single roar, Xiao Bai experienced the horrifying illusion that her very Soul was about to be torn apart.
Far away, beyond the horizon, another shadow moved beneath the endless sea.
And somewhere beneath those waves, the creature that had spent more than two years devouring everything in its path had finally sensed something worthy of its attention.
The hunt was about to become considerably more interesting.
