Godzilla rarely moved and absolutely loved lying beneath the sun, which inevitably caused dust, moss, and various other things to accumulate across his enormous body.

As the High Priestess of Sea God Island, Bo Saixi actually had relatively few concrete responsibilities to deal with on a daily basis, and in previous years, she had spent most of her time cultivating or remaining within the Sea God Temple.

Now that a gigantic beast had taken up residence in the backyard, however, she had naturally acquired another responsibility.Full novel: Douluo Dalu: Reincarnated As Godzilla — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Cleaning Godzilla.

The Sea God Trident, which Godzilla had originally collected as a trophy after defeating Poseidon and later used as nothing more than a toothpick, had now acquired a completely different purpose.

It had officially become Bo Saixi’s personal cleaning tool.

More precisely, it had become a deluxe custom-made backscratcher.

“Martial Soul Avatar!”

With a soft shout, Bo Saixi’s figure suddenly transformed.

Her body became a gigantic water-blue figure, and the surrounding seawater began rapidly gathering around her enormous form.

As she absorbed more seawater, her body continued expanding until she finally reached a height of more than fifty meters.

Although she was still tiny compared with Godzilla, this form was already large enough to make cleaning his enormous body considerably easier.

Holding the Sea God Trident in her hands, Bo Saixi skillfully used the divine weapon to loosen the thick layer of dirt and moss covering Godzilla’s skin.

She then used her enormous watery hands to wash away the loosened debris.

Seawater continuously flowed across Godzilla’s scales, carrying away dust and moss while Bo Saixi carefully controlled the strength of every movement.

Her motions were gentle and surprisingly delicate.

Occasionally, Bo Saixi would glance backward.

Whenever she noticed Godzilla’s enormous tail slightly raised, she would quietly release a breath of relief.

It seemed that she had judged her strength correctly.

Ever since Godzilla discovered the usefulness of her Martial Soul Avatar, he had developed an unusual fondness for this ability.

Every so often, he would lazily summon Bo Saixi to provide him with another “special massage” using her gigantic Martial Soul Avatar.

For Bo Saixi, this had gradually become part of her daily routine.

Just as she prepared to expand the cleaning area, however, Godzilla suddenly rolled over.

The enormous movement caused the ground beneath him to tremble.

His golden slit pupils slowly opened.

Then they locked directly onto Bo Saixi.

Bo Saixi’s heart tightened instantly.

Even though she had experienced countless storms throughout her life, she was still shaken whenever she faced the overwhelming pressure naturally radiating from Godzilla.

His enormous eyes were as brilliant as two golden suns.

Every time his gaze settled upon her, Bo Saixi felt as though those eyes could see directly through her body and into the deepest part of her soul.

For a brief moment, she instinctively held her breath.

The sudden lack of oxygen caused her chest to rise and fall more rapidly, making her already imposing Martial Soul Avatar appear even more magnificent.

Bo Saixi had seen Godzilla countless times over the past year.

Yet every time she stood directly before this enormous existence, she still could not prevent her heart from beating faster.

A bold thought quietly surfaced within her mind.

Could this really be the true Sea God?

The thought was rebellious.

It was also extremely dangerous.

Fortunately, after spending so much time around Godzilla, Bo Saixi quickly realized that he was not actually staring at her.

His attention had already shifted toward something behind her.

“Xiao Bai, you’re here.”

Bo Saixi followed Godzilla’s gaze.

A gray-blue figure was slowly approaching from the distance.

Xiao Bai waved toward her.

“Yes.

Sea Dragon and the others captured quite a few powerful Spirit Beasts, so they asked me to bring them over.”

Xiao Bai lightly leaped into the air before waving toward the fleet anchored along the distant shoreline.

The ships immediately began moving.

Several enormous Spirit Beasts were transported from the vessels, each one already injured and exhausted from the capture.

They were then gradually driven toward the inner harbor.

In order to make feeding Godzilla more convenient, Bo Saixi had specifically redesigned the backyard of the newly rebuilt Sea God Temple.

The enormous courtyard had been constructed in a broad U-shaped layout.

The fleet could directly enter the inner harbor, unload the captured Spirit Beasts, and then transport them through a specially constructed canal until they reached the entrance of the gigantic courtyard.

The moment the Spirit Beasts arrived, Godzilla’s enormous tail lazily stretched toward them.

It curled around several of the creatures before lifting them directly into the air.

Then he opened his mouth.

Gulp.

Several hundred-thousand-year Spirit Beasts disappeared in a single bite.

As Godzilla closed his enormous jaws, a low explosive sound emerged from within his throat, while colorful energy mist slowly drifted from between his teeth.

Even though Xiao Bai had witnessed this scene countless times, she still could not help becoming dumbfounded.

One bite.

Several hundred-thousand-year Spirit Beasts.

Gone.

Not even a scrap remained.

It was almost absurd.

Twenty thousand years ago, before Godzilla appeared, the true hegemon of the ocean had been the Deep Sea Demon Whale King.

The Deep Sea Demon Whale King also possessed an extremely unusual devouring ability that allowed him to improve his own cultivation by consuming other Spirit Beasts.

However, compared with Godzilla, that ability seemed almost insignificant.

The Spirit Beasts Godzilla consumed did not even leave behind Spirit Rings.

It was as though the Spirit Rings themselves could be digested by him.

Every time Xiao Bai thought about this, she found the situation increasingly unbelievable.

Ever since Godzilla had appeared, many of the powerful Spirit Beasts that once dominated the deep sea seemed to have mysteriously disappeared.

The Deep Sea Demon Whale clan was particularly affected.

Xiao Bai had always suspected that the Deep Sea Demon Whale King simply did not dare confront Godzilla directly and had therefore deliberately avoided the waters surrounding Sea God Island.

In reality, Godzilla himself had never realized just how many original trajectories of history had already been altered by his existence.

According to the original course of events, the Deep Sea Demon Whale King should have already possessed nearly a million years of cultivation by this point.

But because of Godzilla’s interference, his cultivation had only reached roughly six hundred thousand years.

And what made the Deep Sea Demon Whale King even more miserable was the fact that Godzilla’s protection of Sea God Island had caused the number of high-level Spirit Beasts inhabiting the surrounding waters to plummet.

The Deep Sea Demon Whale King had once hunted almost exclusively ten-thousand-year and hundred-thousand-year Spirit Beasts.

Now, however, he often had to rely upon hundred-year or thousand-year Spirit Beasts simply to satisfy his hunger.

For a terrifying existence with more than three hundred thousand years of accumulated cultivation and another six hundred thousand years of actual cultivation, making his total strength roughly comparable to a million-year Spirit Beast, this was an extraordinary humiliation.

The Deep Sea Demon Whale King’s life over these years could only be described as miserable.

The situation was even worse for some of the naturally vicious Spirit Beast clans that were famous for slaughter, such as the Evil Demon Killer Whale clan.

Their hunting grounds had also suffered tremendously from the changes occurring around Sea God Island.

Although the situation had improved somewhat over the past twenty thousand years, the Deep Sea Demon Whale King’s family had not been nearly as fortunate.

The thing that worried him most was his daughter.

Lan Fozi.

She was a genius among the Deep Sea Demon Whale clan.

At only fifty thousand years of cultivation, she had already demonstrated an extraordinary devouring talent.

If she could obtain enough high-level Spirit Beasts to consume, she had a genuine chance of breaking through to the hundred-thousand-year level.

Unfortunately, high-level Spirit Beasts were now far too difficult to find.

As a result, Lan Fozi’s cultivation had become stuck at a bottleneck.

She could see the threshold of a hundred thousand years directly ahead of her, yet she could not take the final step.

The Deep Sea Demon Whale King himself had suffered enough.

During one of his previous hunting expeditions, he had suddenly sensed that terrifying Aura.

He had been so frightened that he immediately abandoned the hunt and fled.

Later, rumors began spreading throughout the ocean.

The once-formidable Poseidon had been killed by an Ocean Holy Beast.

At first, the Deep Sea Demon Whale King did not believe the rumors.

But one year passed.

Then another.

Then several thousand years.

Poseidon, the being who had once ruled the ocean and blinded countless Spirit Beasts with his divine authority, truly never appeared again.

That was when the Deep Sea Demon Whale King finally understood that the rumors might actually have been true.

Afterward, he never dared approach the resource-rich waters around Sea God Island again.

He was terrified that if he attracted the attention of that Sacred Beast, he would become the next target.

Nowadays, the Deep Sea Demon Whale King dragged his exhausted body back to his territory every day with only a few thousand-year Spirit Beasts to eat.

Even his wife had gradually become dissatisfied with him.

The voices of discontent within the clan had also become increasingly loud.

If the Deep Sea Demon Whale King’s strength had not remained overwhelmingly powerful, he might have been driven out of his own territory long ago.

Eventually, he could no longer tolerate such a miserable existence.

“…Let’s migrate.”

The Deep Sea Demon Whale King finally made the decision.

They had to leave.

He could no longer endure living through feast and famine while constantly worrying about accidentally provoking Godzilla.

Although they technically had enough food to survive, he could no longer freely utilize his greatest racial advantage.

He had been devouring Spirit Beasts for more than three hundred thousand years.

He had long become accustomed to the rapid improvement brought by consuming powerful prey.

How could he possibly slow down and patiently wait year after year?

The Demon Empress immediately responded with dissatisfaction.

“Migrate?

Where exactly are we supposed to migrate?”

The waters surrounding Sea God Island were simply too advantageous.

They were close to the mainland, possessed extremely rich food resources, and were located near the circulation of the North Ocean Current.

Those geographical conditions had created a unique ecosystem capable of nurturing countless Spirit Beasts.

For the Deep Sea Demon Whale clan, this region was practically a god-given treasure land.

It allowed them to fully display their natural advantages.

Finding another habitat that could compare to this place was far easier said than done.

“North, toward the Ice Sea.”

The Deep Sea Demon Whale King sighed helplessly.

“At the very least, let Lan Fozi break through to the hundred-thousand-year level first.”

He had recently heard rumors concerning the distant Ice Sea.

Apparently, a special Mermaid clan lived there.

Those half-human, half-fish creatures possessed a certain degree of human-like cultivation talent, and their cultivation should not be particularly weak.

For the Deep Sea Demon Whale clan, such a place could potentially become an enormous feast.

At least, it might provide enough high-level prey for Lan Fozi to finally break through.

To avoid attracting the attention of that terrifying giant beast, the Deep Sea Demon Whale King became extremely cautious.

He deliberately bypassed the North Ocean Current and chose to travel through waters farther west of Sea God Island.

He believed this route was sufficiently safe.

Unfortunately, he had underestimated Godzilla’s extraordinary sense of smell.

“Hmm?”

In the backyard of the Sea God Temple, Godzilla suddenly stopped enjoying Bo Saixi’s massage.

His enormous body straightened abruptly.

The golden slit pupils in his eyes flashed with cold light.

He turned his enormous head toward the endless ocean to the west.

Something was approaching.

And judging from the scent…

It was not a small number of creatures.

Godzilla’s enormous tail flicked gently.

The movement immediately whipped up a powerful gale, causing the surrounding seawater to churn violently.

The entire ocean was practically his backyard.

The fact that he had not personally wiped out every hundred-thousand-year Spirit Beast in the surrounding waters was already an act of tremendous mercy toward the Spirit Beast race.

So how could there still be blind creatures daring to wander directly beneath his nose?

Godzilla’s eyes gradually narrowed.

His enormous nostrils flared.

The scent drifting across the ocean became increasingly clear.

Somebody had brought him food.

And judging from the concentration of that scent…

It seemed to be quite a lot of food.

Bo Saixi also noticed Godzilla’s sudden change.

She slowly lowered the Sea God Trident and looked toward the distant horizon.

“Lord Sacred Beast…”

Her voice contained a trace of uncertainty.

Godzilla did not answer.

He simply stared toward the western sea.

Far away, beneath the dark blue surface, an enormous shadow was moving cautiously through the depths.

The Deep Sea Demon Whale King had no idea that his carefully planned migration route had already been exposed.

Nor did he know that the moment he entered Godzilla’s hunting range, the miserable life he had been trying to escape might have just become even worse.
