“Roar—”
Godzilla released a deep growl that carried an unmistakable trace of dissatisfaction and warning.
Without bothering to explain himself to the bewildered Bo Saixi behind him, he immediately turned around and plunged headfirst into the water channel.
His enormous body passed through the harbor with terrifying speed, sending huge waves rolling outward as his massive tail swept through the water.
“What is going on?”
Bo Saixi stood there for a moment, completely stunned.
Ever since Godzilla had arrived on Sea God Island, this enormous creature had barely left his backyard for more than a year.
He spent most of his time lying around, sleeping, sunbathing, eating, or allowing her to clean his body.
So why had he suddenly decided to leave?
Bo Saixi could not understand what had happened, but she quickly recovered and used her Spirit Power to pursue him.
Unfortunately, Godzilla was simply too fast.
The moment he entered the deep sea, his enormous body accelerated sharply and descended toward the depths.
He did not merely dive downward.
He deliberately descended extremely deep.
At the same time, the dorsal plates along his spine released a strange electromagnetic barrier that spread around his enormous body, completely masking his presence and making it extraordinarily difficult for anyone to detect him.
By the time Bo Saixi reached the open ocean, she had already lost track of him.
She searched through the surrounding waters for a long time, but she could not find even the slightest trace.
Eventually, there was nothing she could do except sigh and return to Sea God Island.
The next morning, after waking up, Bo Saixi subconsciously headed toward the backyard.
She had already developed the habit of going there every morning.
Today was no different.
She prepared herself to give Godzilla his usual massage and cleaning session.
Then she stepped into the courtyard.
And stopped.
The enormous backyard was empty.
There was no gigantic reptilian body lying beneath the sunlight, no massive tail lazily stretched across the ground, and no pair of golden slit pupils watching her with an expression that seemed to say she was taking too long.
Godzilla was truly gone.
“Could it be that this guy isn’t coming back?”
Bo Saixi quietly muttered those words while staring at the empty space.
For some reason, she suddenly felt a strange sense of loss.
Over the past year, she had gradually become accustomed to having Godzilla around.
At first, cleaning him had merely been a responsibility she had accepted because nobody else could conveniently deal with such a gigantic creature.
But after doing it every day for such a long time, it had quietly become part of her routine.
Massaging Godzilla.
Cleaning Godzilla.
Watching him sleep.
Watching him eat.
Even occasionally wondering what ridiculous thing he would do next.
Without realizing it, Bo Saixi had already incorporated the enormous beast into her daily life.
Human habits were truly frightening.
Bo Saixi had unknowingly conditioned herself into the shape of Godzilla’s daily schedule.
Meanwhile, the subject of those thoughts had already disappeared far into the depths of the ocean.
Godzilla had successfully tracked the group of creatures attempting to migrate secretly.
He hid within the darkness of the deep sea, his enormous body blending into the surrounding blackness while his golden eyes remained fixed upon the gigantic creatures swimming above him.
“Is this a group of whales?”
Godzilla wondered inwardly.
He continued observing without making a sound.
The creatures swimming through the ocean were all blue-black in color.
Their enormous bodies were characterized by massive heads and comparatively small tails, while strange demonic patterns covered their skin.
Those patterns resembled countless distorted faces, giving the creatures an intimidating and somewhat sinister appearance.
Their sizes varied considerably.
The largest individual was slightly longer than Godzilla himself.
Several others were roughly a hundred meters long, while the younger members were considerably smaller.
Then, from within the whale pod, a clear and childish voice suddenly rang through the water.
“Mom, I’m going to play at the bottom of the sea!”
The voice belonged to a young whale.
The second-largest whale in the pod immediately responded.
“Remember to stay close to everyone.”
“Got it!”
The little whale happily surfaced for a breath before immediately diving toward the pitch-black seabed.
The demonic patterns covering her body began glowing faintly as she descended, illuminating the surrounding darkness with a hazy and somewhat eerie light.
Not long afterward, she discovered her target.
A bright-spotted sea turtle.
Compared with the enormous whale, the creature was barely the size of a washbasin.
The moment the sea turtle group noticed the little whale approaching, they immediately panicked.
Their limbs flapped frantically as they scattered in every direction, desperately attempting to escape toward deeper waters.
Unfortunately, the playful little whale had absolutely no intention of letting them go.
She happily chased after them.
Every so often, she would gently bump one of the sea turtles with her enormous head, apparently treating the entire hunt as nothing more than a game.
Unfortunately, the little whale’s idea of “gentle” was somewhat different from that of ordinary creatures.
One particularly enthusiastic bump sent a poor sea turtle flying.
The tiny creature tumbled directly into the pitch-black abyss below.
“Ah!”
The little whale immediately followed.
She dove downward without hesitation, completely forgetting about the rest of the pod.
The farther she chased, the farther she drifted away from her family.
And before long, she had completely lost sight of the sea turtle.
What she saw instead were two enormous golden eyes hidden within the darkness.
Godzilla silently watched the little whale approaching him.
The other party seemed completely unaware of the danger.
She continued swimming forward.
Closer.
And closer.
Until the faint glow radiating from the demonic patterns on her body was just about to illuminate Godzilla’s enormous body.
His eyes suddenly opened completely.
His enormous jaws opened.
And a blue-white Atomic Breath erupted from his mouth.
“Ah!!!”
Lan Fozi had been completely focused on catching the sea turtle.
She had been only one step away from catching her prey when a terrifying blue-white beam suddenly erupted directly in front of her.
The sudden burst of energy frightened her so badly that her entire mind went blank.
The brief flash illuminated the seabed.
And in that moment, Lan Fozi finally saw what had been hiding in the darkness.
A gigantic monster.
Godzilla’s enormous body emerged from the darkness like an ancient mountain that had suddenly awakened.
Lan Fozi’s heart nearly stopped.
She immediately flapped her enormous tail and fled at full speed.
She did not dare look backward for quite some distance.
Only after putting enough distance between herself and that terrifying creature did curiosity finally overcome her fear.
Lan Fozi cautiously turned her head.
The giant beast was not following her.
“Huh?”
She slowed down.
After hesitating for several moments, Lan Fozi carefully turned around and began approaching Godzilla again.
“Who are you?”
Her voice carried obvious vigilance, but there was far more curiosity than fear.
“Roar—”
Godzilla gave a low response.
He could understand what she was saying.
Unfortunately, understanding language and producing human speech were two completely different matters.
Lan Fozi tilted her enormous head.
“You can’t speak?”
She circled around Godzilla once, examining him from different angles.
“Your cultivation hasn’t reached a hundred thousand years yet, right?”
After saying that, she seemed to relax considerably.
Apparently, in her mind, a creature that had not reached the hundred-thousand-year level could not possibly represent a serious threat to her.
She swam around Godzilla once more.
Then her eyes widened.
“Wow!
You’re so big!”
She stared at him with undisguised amazement.
“You’re almost as long as my dad!”
Godzilla remained silent.
This little whale was surprisingly bold.
Lan Fozi’s curiosity continued growing.
There was actually a Sea Spirit Beast in the ocean that was nearly comparable to her father’s enormous size.
What made things even stranger was that the creature appeared to possess an astonishingly powerful body, yet it had not reached the hundred-thousand-year cultivation level required to communicate normally.
To Lan Fozi, this was simply fascinating.
“Where are you going, Big Guy?”
She swam closer until her enormous head reached Godzilla’s face.
Then, apparently deciding that he did not seem dangerous, she gently rubbed her head against him to express friendliness.
“Roar—”
“I’m going to migrate to the Ice Sea with my parents and my clan.”
Lan Fozi happily explained their destination.
“You wouldn’t happen to be going there too, would you?”
“Roar—”
“Hehe, then you better be careful not to get caught by my dad.”
She grinned mischievously.
“If he sees you’re this big, he’ll definitely want to eat you!”
Lan Fozi playfully spat a splash of seawater toward Godzilla.
Godzilla’s expression seemed to stiffen.
He curled his lip before responding with a symbolic spark.
Eat him?
What kind of joke was that?
Never mind whether the Deep Sea Demon Whale King could bite through his indestructible hide.
Even if that old whale somehow managed to tear through Godzilla’s scales, who on this planet would actually dare to swallow a piece of atomic dinosaur meat filled with terrifying nuclear energy?
Godzilla was not some ordinary Spirit Beast.
His body itself was an enormous energy source.
If he had not been naturally lazy and deliberately suppressed the energy fluctuations radiating from his body, Bo Saixi would probably have suffered from the radiation leaking from his dorsal plates long ago.
And even Godzilla himself did not fully understand what kind of energy was circulating within his blood.
The enhanced Godzilla body he possessed was far more mysterious than it appeared.
Lan Fozi, however, obviously had no idea about any of that.
She was completely unconcerned about whether Godzilla understood her words.
Instead, she enthusiastically began showing him various things she had found nearby.
One moment, she herded over a large octopus.
The next, she nudged a sea turtle toward him.
After that, she even used her enormous head to push a giant seashell directly toward Godzilla’s mouth.
Godzilla looked down at the collection of gifts.
He was speechless.
The energy contained within these things was pitifully low.
If he actually ate them, he suspected that the energy required simply to open his mouth would probably exceed whatever energy he gained from swallowing them.
Still, Lan Fozi seemed extremely pleased with herself.
She continued bringing him random things as though she were introducing her new friend to the treasures of the ocean.
Eventually, the sunlight above the sea began disappearing.
The water gradually darkened.
Lan Fozi finally realized that it was time to leave.
She swam beside Godzilla and gently patted his tail with her own whale tail.
“Be a good boy and follow the group.”
She sounded almost like an older sister giving instructions to a mischievous child.
“And remember not to show yourself.”
Lan Fozi paused before happily adding, “I’ll come see you again tomorrow.”
“Roar—”
Godzilla gave a low response.
It had to be said that this little one’s personality was completely different from Xiao Bai’s and Bo Saixi’s.
She wasn’t afraid of him.
Not only was she not afraid, but she seemed to be having fun.
Most creatures, even those incapable of sensing his killing intent, would instinctively tremble when standing before his enormous body.
Lan Fozi was different.
She treated him like some strange oversized companion she had discovered at the bottom of the sea.
For some reason, that reaction actually intrigued Godzilla.
The little whale’s carefree attitude also made the displeasure he had felt earlier gradually disappear.
However, Godzilla’s relaxed mood did not last forever.
Because later, when he witnessed the hunting method of the entire whale pod, even he was genuinely shocked.
Wherever the whale pod passed, Sea Spirit Beasts of almost every cultivation level were instantly slaughtered before they could even react.
The ocean rapidly turned crimson.
A long blood trail floated through the surrounding water.
The whales moved through the sea like an enormous living harvesting machine.
One meal.
More than ten kilometers of ocean.
Almost nothing survived.
And after sweeping through such a vast area, the whale pod still did not appear satisfied.
Godzilla watched the scene in silence.
Then he could not help clicking his tongue.
“They eat more in one meal than I do.”
His enormous eyes narrowed slightly.
“What exactly is the background of this whale pod?”
Godzilla had never been particularly stingy about food.
But this was different.
These creatures were devouring the resources of his cafeteria.
His cafeteria!
The Spirit Beasts that Bo Saixi and the people of Sea God Island brought to him were carefully selected.
Most possessed considerable cultivation years, and their numbers were controlled so that the surrounding ecosystem would not be completely destroyed.
The whale pod, however, had apparently never heard of the concept of moderation.
They simply ate everything they could find.
If these creatures continued hunting at this rate, Godzilla wondered how many Spirit Beasts would actually remain in the ocean around Sea God Island.
His gaze slowly followed the whale pod as they disappeared into the distance.
“If these guys keep eating like this…”
Godzilla’s expression became increasingly serious.
“What will I have left to eat?”
He paused.
Then his tail slowly moved through the water.
“Is my backyard even going to exist anymore?”
