There was none of Yamcha’s awkward blushing and fumbling at the sight of a girl, and none of that kind of open ended flirting that welcomed all comers.

His gaze was calm as still water, carrying even a trace of coldness that kept people at a distance.

Then he very naturally reached out and wrapped his arm around Bulma’s waist beside him, and looked down at her with an expression that instantly softened with warmth.Full novel: Dragon Ball: 12 Talisman, Girlfriend Bulma And 18 — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“How does this one look?

Or was the white one from before better?” The girls watching this scene immediately understood, and one by one they awkwardly put their phones away and scattered off in embarrassment.

“Hmph, at least you know what’s good for you.” Bulma watched those “rivals” retreat, and felt absolutely wonderful inside.

Look at that!

This was what a quality boyfriend looked like!

Devoted, dominant, and knowing when to say no!

“We’re taking this one!

Swipe the card!” Bulma declared with a grand sweep of her hand, full of confidence.

Done with shopping, the two made their way to West City’s largest amusement park, Wonder Park.

This place boasted the world’s tallest roller coaster and the most dreamlike carousel.

“Gokai!

Let’s go on that one!

That super giant swing!” Bulma pointed excitedly at a ride in the distance that was flinging people around and producing a chorus of screams.

Son Gokai gave a helpless smile.

For a Saiyan who could catch a Kamehameha bare handed and take a bullet with his body, the stimulation offered by this kind of human amusement ride was probably milder than being chased around Mount Paozu by a dinosaur.

But he did not dampen the mood.

Just as he had thought before, training was not only about physical punishment, but also about relaxation of the spirit.

S Cell growth needed this kind of atmosphere full of laughter and peace.

“Alright, let’s go.” The two went through ride after ride, from the roller coaster to the log flume, with Bulma screaming until her voice was nearly gone, clutching Son Gokai’s arm and refusing to let go, while Son Gokai maintained his composure throughout, occasionally patting the back of her hand gently to reassure her when she was frightened.

As the sun set at dusk.

The amusement park lit up with colorful neon lights.

The two bought a pair of ice creams and sat down on a bench to rest.

“Haah…

I haven’t been this happy in a long time.” Bulma licked her strawberry ice cream and leaned on Son Gokai’s shoulder, looking at the Ferris wheel in the distance, “Gokai, thank you for keeping me company.” “I’m having a great time too.” Son Gokai said it sincerely.

These moments without any life or death pressure, simply enjoying life, made the ki inside him flow much more smoothly, and the S Cells lying dormant deep within his cells seemed to be cheering with delight.

Just then.

Son Gokai’s gaze suddenly came to rest on the fountain plaza not far away.

On a bench there sat a little girl.

She appeared to be around ten years old, with a neat golden bob, wearing a somewhat ill fitting denim vest and striped trousers, with a red scarf hanging around her neck.

Unlike the children around her who were noisily demanding balloons or crying and fussing from exhaustion.

This little girl simply sat there in complete quiet, her arms wrapped around her knees, and those bright blue eyes looked coldly at the passing crowd with a hardness and stubbornness that did not belong to her age.

Though still very young, her delicate features already hinted at the beauty she would grow into.

“What is it?

What are you looking at?” Bulma followed Son Gokai’s gaze and said, “Oh?

That little girl over there…

is she alone?” “I’ve been watching for a while now.” Son Gokai frowned slightly, “Looks like she’s lost, but she isn’t crying and she hasn’t gone to find a staff member.” “That cool?” Bulma was intrigued, “Come on, let’s go take a look.” The two walked over to the bench.

The little girl sensed someone approaching and instantly raised her head like a wary little cat, her ice blue eyes full of wariness.

“Little one, why are you here all by yourself?” Bulma bent down with what she considered her most friendly smile, “Are you having trouble finding your mom and dad?” The little girl glanced at Bulma, then looked up at Son Gokai standing tall beside her, pressed her lips together, and turned her head away.

“No.

I’m waiting for someone.” Her voice was clear but ice cold.

“Waiting for someone?” Son Gokai smiled and held out an untouched vanilla ice cream in his hand, “You’ve been waiting a long time haven’t you?

Please have this.” The little girl looked at the cold, dripping cone, and her throat moved involuntarily.

It was hot, and she was genuinely thirsty.

But she shook her head anyway, “Mom said not to take things from strangers.” “Quite a high level of vigilance.” Son Gokai did not withdraw his hand, and instead sat himself down at the other end of the bench.

“Don’t worry, we’re not bad people.

If we were bad people, we would have taken you away already, why would we go to the trouble of buying you an ice cream?” Bulma sat down beside them too and held up her shopping bags for inspection, “Look, your big sister just bought a whole pile of clothes, what kind of bad person would have time to go shopping?” The little girl hesitated for a moment, but in the end could not resist the temptation of the ice cream, and accepted it with careful hands.

“Thank you.” Her voice was very small, but finally it no longer sounded quite so cold.

“What’s your name?” Bulma pressed on while the moment was warm.

The little girl took a bite of ice cream, and her eyes lit up briefly, clearly loving the taste, but when it came to her name she simply shook her head and refused to say.

“What a cool little thing.” Bulma was not the least bit annoyed, and in fact found this child to be quite a character.

“Since you’re waiting for someone anyway and there’s nothing else to do, would you like to come play with us for a bit?” Son Gokai suggested, “Just around here, we won’t go far.” The little girl glanced over at a shooting game stall not far away, and a flicker of longing passed through her eyes.

Son Gokai caught this in an instant with his sharp attention.

“Come on, big brother will win you that giant stuffed animal.” At the shooting game stall.

The booth owner looked at this group of one man and two females and called out warmly.

“Step right up!

The sharpshooter challenge!

Hit the bullseye all ten shots, and you walk away with that giant panda stuffed animal!” “I’ll give it a try!” Bulma picked up an air rifle with great enthusiasm.

“Bang!

Bang!

Bang!” Ten shots, five hit, with several going wide.

“Ugh!

There must be something wrong with this gun!” Bulma put the gun down in frustration.

“Let me.” The golden haired little girl suddenly spoke up.

She set down her finished ice cream cone, picked up the air rifle that was a bit heavy for her, and her form was surprisingly textbook precise.

She narrowed one eye, and those bright blue pupils instantly locked onto the bullseye.

“Bang!

Bang!

Bang!” The shots rang out in rhythm.

The booth owner’s jaw nearly hit the floor.

Ten shots, every single one a bullseye, and each one hitting the exact same point!

“This…

this…” “That’s incredible!!” Bulma cried out in amazement, “Little one, have you practiced before?” The little girl set the gun down and gave her short golden hair a light toss, and the corner of her mouth curved into a faint arc that carried a touch of pride.

“That was easy.” That confidence and cold arrogance that radiated from the very core of her being left Son Gokai staring.

Those eyes, that bearing…

Why did it feel more familiar the more he looked?
