“Splash!” Son Gokai hovered above the surface of the sea.

He had been flying for an entire afternoon.

The vast blue ocean stretched endlessly in every direction, and the “small dot” on the map was like a speck of dust in this enormous expanse of water.Full novel: Dragon Ball: 12 Talisman, Girlfriend Bulma And 18 — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

‘The direction is right…

it should be somewhere in this stretch of sea.’ Son Gokai looked around in all directions.

He had already flown back and forth several times, and his stamina and ki were still fine, but the prolonged search was beginning to wear on him.

He activated his telekinesis, letting it support him as he slowly rose up a hundred meters into the air.

His field of view instantly opened up.

“Hm?” Just then, the corner of his eye caught a small black dot in the southwest.

There seemed to be a very small island out there.

“Whoosh!” Without further hesitation, he pushed his telekinesis and shot off like a small cannonball, flying at high speed just above the sea surface.

As the distance closed, a pink house of peculiar design came into view, with the letters “KAMEHOUSE” clearly visible on it.

“Finally…

found it.” Son Gokai slowly descended onto the beach.

By now, it was dusk.

The setting sun had dyed the sea surface a shade of golden red, and an aged figure sat quietly at the edge of the small island, gazing silently at the sunset.

It was an old sea turtle wearing sunglasses, apparently sunbathing.

“Hello.” Son Gokai walked forward and gave a polite bow.

The turtle heard him, turned its head around slowly, and looked with surprise at this child who was soaking wet but full of energy.

“Oh?

Hello there, little one.

How did you get all the way out here?

Where are your parents?” “I came to find someone.” Son Gokai came straight to the point.

“Excuse me, does Master Roshi live here?” The turtle was taken aback, and its sunglasses slid down to the tip of its nose.

“You…

you’re looking for Master Roshi?

What do you want with him?” “I want to take him as my teacher and learn the martial arts.” Son Gokai’s tone was completely firm.

“Take him as your teacher?” The turtle looked him up and down.

“Ah, Master Roshi…

I’m afraid he might not be available right now.” It gestured toward Kame House behind it.

Faintly, from inside the house, came a series of strange, energetic music and an old but excited voice crying out “Hey-hup!

Hey-hup!” Son Gokai thought to himself, ‘…Exactly like in the original story.’ “It’s fine, I can wait.” Son Gokai said calmly.

“Oh, you child…

well, never mind, just go in yourself.

He’s in the living room.” The turtle shook its head helplessly and turned back to watching the sunset.

Son Gokai gave a nod, walked up to the front door, took a deep breath, and pushed it open.

“Excuse me.” “Hoo-hah!

Hoo-hah!” What met his eyes was a bald old man.

He wore a pair of toad shaped sunglasses and a long white beard, dressed in a flashy beach shirt and carrying the iconic purple shell on his back.

At this moment, he was crouched in front of the television, facing the screen where a woman in a high cut swimsuit was dancing through an aerobics routine.

He was performing the same high leg raise movements, with two wads of tissue stuffed in his nostrils to stop a nosebleed.

This was the world’s strongest martial arts grandmaster, Master Roshi, the Turtle Hermit.

“Hm?

Oh?” Master Roshi seemed to only just notice that someone had come in, and he tore his reluctant gaze away from the television to look at Son Gokai standing at the door.

“Little one, who are you looking for?

Are you lost?

Would you like some tea?” Son Gokai’s expression did not change in the slightest.

This lecherous, perverted old man in front of him was the goal of this trip.

He walked directly over to Master Roshi and bowed respectfully!

“Master Roshi!

I am Son Gokai, and I humbly request that you accept me as your disciple and pass down the martial arts to me!” This actually left Master Roshi completely at a loss.

“Hey hey hey?

Come on, child, stand up!” Master Roshi fumbled to help him up.

“What’s all this about taking a teacher, I’m just a worn out old man living in seclusion, I can’t teach you any martial arts.” As he said this, he put his sunglasses back on and tried to sneak another glance at the television.

Then, as if something had just registered, he murmured softly.

“Son Go…

kai?” Master Roshi’s hand, which had been moving to brush the boy off, stopped.

He took off his sunglasses, and behind those seemingly cloudy eyes a sharp gleam flickered.

“That name…

sounds so familiar.” He stroked his white beard and looked the boy in front of him over carefully.

Black hair, alert and lively eyes, and most importantly, a steadiness and composure that far surpassed that of any child his age.

“You…

don’t seem like a child from an ordinary family.

How do you know of me?” Master Roshi asked.

“It was my grandfather, Son Gohan, who told me about you.” When Master Roshi heard the name Son Gokai spoke, his eyes lit up with intensity.

“!!” “Son…

Go…

han!!” Master Roshi leapt up off the floor in an instant, grabbed Son Gokai by the shoulders, and his expression became somewhat agitated.

“You’re Gohan’s…

grandson?!” “Yes.” “Hahaha!

So that’s it!

So that’s it!” Master Roshi let out a roaring laugh and excitedly clapped Son Gokai on the back.

“I knew ‘Son Go’ sounded so familiar!

So you’re that kid’s grandson!” After his laughter subsided, he looked at Son Gokai with a touch of feeling.

“That kid Gohan…

so many years have gone by in the blink of an eye, and he’s already a grandfather.

Is he…

is he doing well?” “Grandpa is in good health, and right now he is living in seclusion on Mount Paozu together with my younger brother Goku.” Son Gokai answered.

“Mount Paozu…

good, that’s good.” Master Roshi nodded, and the flippancy that had been in his eyes disappeared entirely, replaced by the warmth and contentment of a grandmaster.

He looked Son Gokai over again with fresh eyes.

“Son Gohan’s grandson, came all the way from Mount Paozu just to take me as his teacher?” “Yes.” Son Gokai gave the same firm answer.

“I want to learn the true martial arts.” “The true martial arts…” Master Roshi murmured.

He looked into Son Gokai’s determined eyes, and seemed to see in them the disciple from many years ago who had been equally devoted to the martial path.

“Good!

Worthy of being Gohan’s grandson!” Master Roshi laughed heartily.

“This disciple of yours, I accept!” And so, starting from his ninth year, Son Gokai remained at Kame House and began a rigorous course of training.

In the early morning, before dawn even broke, Master Roshi would rouse Son Gokai.

Carrying a shell weighing several dozen kilograms, running long distances along the beach.

Swimming long distances in waters frequented by sharks.

Dodging swarms of wasps to train his evasion ability.

And then high intensity farming, milk delivery, and construction labor…

This training regimen was identical to what Goku and Krillin would undergo in the original story.

“The martial arts are not just about fighting and killing!” Master Roshi called out to Son Gokai, who was drenched in sweat, while sipping his tea.

“You must learn to ‘move,’ but also learn to ‘be still!’ You must learn ‘tension,’ but also learn ‘relaxation!'” “The true essence of the Turtle School lies in ‘balancing work and rest!’ It is in the midst of ordinary daily life that you forge your body and spirit!” Son Gokai did not use the power of any talisman.

He drew back the talisman powers of the Ox Talisman, the Rabbit Talisman, and every other talisman that enhanced his body, pulling them all back deep into his soul.

What he wanted was the most solid foundation possible.

The “balance” power of the Tiger Talisman produced a remarkable effect during this time.

No matter how grueling or monotonous a training regimen Master Roshi set, Son Gokai could immediately enter a perfect state of “stillness of heart,” neither proud nor impatient, completing every task with meticulous care.

His performance left Master Roshi stunned time and again.

This child was simply a born martial artist!
