Unlike Yamcha, Sun Wuxiu did not become awkward and flustered around girls.
Nor did he possess the ambiguous personality of someone who accepted affection from everyone around him.
His gaze remained calm and steady like still water.
There was even a faint coldness within his eyes that naturally kept strangers at a distance.
Then, in front of everyone, he casually wrapped one arm around Bulma’s slender waist before lowering his head slightly to look at her.
The coldness in his eyes instantly softened into warmth.
“What do you think about this outfit?” Sun Wuxiu smiled lightly.
“Or was the white one from earlier better?” The girls who had been staring at him immediately understood the situation.
One after another, they awkwardly lowered their phones before retreating in embarrassment.
“Hmph.
At least you know how to behave.” Bulma looked proudly toward the defeated “love rivals” while feeling incredibly satisfied internally.
Look carefully.
This was what a top-tier boyfriend looked like.
Handsome.
Powerful.
Loyal.
And he even knew how to reject other girls properly.
“This one!
Buy this one too!” Bulma energetically waved her hand.
“Swipe the card!” After shopping for most of the afternoon, the two eventually arrived at West City’s largest amusement park.
Miracle Park.
It possessed the tallest roller coaster in the world and the most luxurious carousel imaginable.
“Wuxiu!
Let’s ride that one!” Bulma excitedly pointed toward a giant pendulum ride in the distance that had people screaming endlessly.
Sun Wuxiu smiled helplessly.
For a Saiyan who could casually catch ki blasts barehanded and tank bullets with his physical body, these human amusement rides were honestly less exciting than being chased by dinosaurs around Mount Paozu.
Still…
He did not want to ruin the atmosphere.
Just as he had realized before, cultivation was not merely physical suffering and endless training.
Relaxing the mind was equally important.
The growth of S-Cells required exactly this sort of peaceful and joyful environment.
“Alright.” Sun Wuxiu nodded calmly.
The two spent the next several hours moving throughout the amusement park together.
Roller coasters.
Haunted houses.
Water rides.
Bulma screamed until her throat nearly gave out while tightly clutching Sun Wuxiu’s arm the entire time.
Meanwhile, Sun Wuxiu remained calm and composed throughout every ride.
Occasionally, whenever Bulma became frightened, he would gently pat the back of her hand to comfort her.
By dusk, colorful neon lights illuminated the entire amusement park.
The atmosphere became dreamy and lively.
The two bought ice cream before sitting together on a nearby bench to rest.
“Haa…” Bulma leaned gently against Sun Wuxiu’s shoulder while licking her strawberry ice cream.
“I haven’t been this happy in a very long time.” Her eyes reflected the brightly lit Ferris wheel in the distance.
“Wuxiu…
thank you for spending the day with me.” “I’m happy too.” Sun Wuxiu answered honestly.
This kind of peaceful moment without battles or life-and-death pressure made the ki within his body flow much more smoothly.
Even the dormant S-Cells hidden deep within his Saiyan body seemed unusually active and cheerful.
At that moment, however…
Sun Wuxiu’s gaze suddenly paused.
Not far away near the fountain plaza sat a small girl alone on a bench.
She looked around ten years old.
She possessed short blonde hair cut neatly into a bob style and wore a slightly oversized denim vest together with striped pants.
A red scarf wrapped around her neck.
Unlike the nearby children crying for toys or making noise while running around…
This little girl simply sat there quietly while hugging her knees.
Her azure eyes silently watched the surrounding crowd.
Cold.
Calm.
And stubborn.
The temperament within those eyes did not resemble a child at all.
Even at such a young age, her facial features already carried traces of astonishing beauty.
“What’s wrong?” Bulma noticed Sun Wuxiu staring elsewhere.
“What are you looking at?” Then she followed his gaze.
“Huh?
That little girl…” “Is she all alone?” “I’ve been observing her for a while.” Sun Wuxiu frowned slightly.
“She seems separated from her family, but she hasn’t cried once.” “Nor has she asked the staff for help.” “That’s actually kinda cool.” Bulma immediately became curious.
“Come on, let’s go check on her.” The two walked slowly toward the nearby bench.
The moment the blonde girl sensed someone approaching, she immediately raised her head like a cautious stray kitten.
Her icy blue eyes were filled with vigilance.
“Little Sister, why are you sitting here all alone?” Bulma crouched slightly while showing what she believed was her friendliest smile.
“Did you lose your parents?” The little girl glanced toward Bulma briefly before shifting her gaze toward the tall Sun Wuxiu beside her.
Then she silently turned her head away.
“No.” Her voice sounded crisp but cold.
“I’m waiting for someone.” “Waiting for someone?” Sun Wuxiu smiled faintly before offering the untouched vanilla ice cream in his hand.
“You’ve probably been waiting for a long time already.” “Here.” The little girl stared at the cold ice cream cone.
Her throat subconsciously moved slightly.
The weather was extremely hot today.
She really was thirsty.
Still, after several seconds, she stubbornly shook her head.
“Mama said not to accept food from strangers.” “Pretty high level of caution.” Sun Wuxiu did not withdraw his hand.
Instead, he calmly sat down on the opposite side of the bench.
“Don’t worry.” “If we were bad people, we would’ve kidnapped you already.” “There’d be no reason to waste time buying you ice cream first.” Bulma also sat down beside the girl before showing off the shopping bags in her hands.
“See?” “We were shopping all day.” “Bad people don’t usually spend their free time buying clothes.” The little girl hesitated for several moments.
Eventually, however, she still could not resist the temptation of the ice cream.
She carefully accepted it.
“…Thank you.” Her voice remained soft, but the previous coldness had weakened slightly.
“What’s your name?” Bulma immediately continued the conversation enthusiastically.
The little girl quietly took a bite of the ice cream.
Her eyes visibly brightened.
She clearly liked the taste.
But when asked for her name, she simply shook her head stubbornly.
“What a cool kid.” Bulma was not annoyed at all.
Instead, she found the girl’s personality surprisingly interesting.
“Since you’re already waiting around anyway, do you want to play with us for a bit?” Sun Wuxiu casually suggested.
“We won’t go far.” The little girl subconsciously glanced toward a nearby shooting game stall.
A faint trace of longing flashed briefly through her eyes.
Sun Wuxiu instantly noticed it.
“Come on.” He stood up calmly before smiling slightly.
“Big Brother will help you win the biggest doll there.” Several minutes later.
At the shooting game booth.
The owner enthusiastically greeted the trio.
“Come try your luck!” “Sharpshooter challenge!” “As long as you hit the bullseye ten times in a row, you can take home that giant panda plushie!” “I’ll go first!” Bulma eagerly picked up the air rifle.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
After ten shots…
She only hit five targets.
Several shots completely missed.
“Whaaat?!” Bulma angrily puffed her cheeks.
“There has to be something wrong with this gun!” “Let me try.” The blonde little girl suddenly spoke calmly.
She gently put aside her finished ice cream before lifting the slightly heavy air rifle.
Her posture immediately became surprisingly professional.
One eye narrowed slightly.
Her azure pupil instantly locked onto the target.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
The gunshots echoed rhythmically.
The stall owner’s jaw nearly dropped onto the floor.
Ten shots.
Every single bullet struck dead center.
And each shot landed almost perfectly atop the previous one.
“T-This…” The owner stared blankly.
“So amazing!!” Bulma looked utterly shocked.
“Little Sister, did you practice this before?” The blonde girl calmly placed the air rifle back down before casually brushing aside her short hair.
A faint proud smile appeared at the corner of her lips.
“This is very easy.” The confidence and cold arrogance naturally radiating from her bones caused Sun Wuxiu to narrow his eyes slightly.
That expression.
That personality.
Why did she suddenly feel more and more familiar…?
