% Shin came back to his senses and looked Kibito up and down with a thoughtful expression.
Could Kibito defeat Frieza at this point in time?
Shin wasn’t entirely sure.
After all, the Frieza from the later arcs had left an overwhelming impression on him.
There were even jokes online that, when fighting Super Saiyan Goku on Namek, Frieza only needed to do a few push-ups to become ridiculously overpowered.
Shin appeared to be deep in thought, but in reality, he was using his divine consciousness to search for Frieza’s location.
Soon, his divine consciousness swept across the North Galaxy and locked onto Frieza, who was sitting in his hover pod.
Shin carefully examined him from head to toe, sensing the life energy radiating from his body.
He had only one thought.
So weak.
Weak enough that Shin could crush him with a single thought.
How had someone this weak accomplished such absurd feats in the later stages of the story?
Shin simply couldn’t understand.
He then carefully sensed Kibito’s life energy.
Although Kibito wasn’t particularly powerful by later standards, compared to Frieza, the difference between the two was like heaven and earth.
Shin immediately concluded that if the current Frieza encountered Kibito, he would be beaten senseless.
Feeling relieved, Shin said, “Very well.
Go warn Frieza and tell him to restrain himself.” “Yes, Lord Supreme Kai.” ⸻ Frieza Force Headquarters Frieza glared at the white-haired, pink-skinned Kibito standing before him as veins bulged across his forehead.
This stranger had barged into his territory without warning and injured many of his subordinates.
Naturally, Frieza had no intention of showing mercy.
He attacked immediately.
Unfortunately… He wasn’t Kibito’s opponent at all.
One slap from Kibito instantly made him realize the enormous gap between them.
Clutching his burning cheek, Frieza secretly gritted his teeth.
Even so, he forced a smile onto his face.
“May I ask who you are, sir?” “Why have you trespassed into my territory without reason and injured my subordinates?” Kibito raised his chin proudly.
“My name is Kibito.” “I serve the Supreme Kai.” “Your forces are currently invading the Galactic King’s domain, which falls under the Supreme Kai’s protection.” “Withdraw your troops immediately.” “…The Supreme Kai?!” Frieza’s eyes widened.
His father had once warned him that there were several beings in the universe whom their family must never provoke.
The Supreme Kai was one of them.
A bead of cold sweat rolled down Frieza’s forehead.
“I sincerely apologize to Lord Supreme Kai for my subordinates’ actions.” “I will immediately order my forces to withdraw from the Galactic King’s territory.” Hearing this, Kibito nodded with satisfaction.
“A wise decision.” “You’d better act quickly.” “Don’t make me come looking for you again.” After saying that, Kibito used Instant Transmission and returned to the World of the Supreme Kai.
⸻ World of the Supreme Kai Shin kept his divine consciousness focused on the Frieza Force until Kibito safely returned.
Only then did he finally breathe a sigh of relief.
It wasn’t that he was cowardly.
It was simply because Frieza’s later growth had been so absurd that Shin had half-joked to himself that if Frieza couldn’t beat Kibito… He might suddenly start doing push-ups and somehow reverse the situation.
Even Shin thought that idea sounded ridiculous.
But the Frieza of the later arcs really was that outrageous.
No matter how many times he thought about it, that explosive increase in strength was unbelievable.
“Lord Supreme Kai, the matter has been resolved,” Kibito reported respectfully.
Shin nodded calmly.
“Very good.” “You may leave.” “And inform the Galactic King that he no longer needs to worry about the Frieza Force.” “However, remind him not to provoke Frieza either.” “Yes, Lord Supreme Kai.” ⸻ Time passed quickly.
Before long… An entire year had gone by.
Throughout that year, Shin never left the World of the Supreme Kai.
He spent all of his time adapting to and mastering the miraculous abilities of his new body.
The more he learned about the Supreme Kai’s powers, the more amazed he became.
Ignoring simple power levels, the Supreme Kai possessed an astonishing variety of abilities.
Mind Reading.
Instant Transmission.
Healing.
Creation.
Transformation.
Cloning.
Paralysis techniques.
Telekinesis.
Universal perception.
Memory manipulation.
Weather control.
Planet creation.
Life creation.
And countless others.
Nearly every supernatural ability Shin could think of… The Supreme Kai seemed capable of performing.
The sheer versatility of his abilities astonished even him.
“With so many incredible abilities…” “How did the Supreme Kai end up becoming so insignificant later on?” After thinking for a moment, Shin reached a simple conclusion.
“The stats were too low.” “That explains everything.” “System.” “Increase my potential.” [Ding!
1 Origin Point consumed.
Potential successfully developed.
Current progress: 3.88%.] “So this is where the stats come from.” Feeling the tremendous power surging through his body, Shin couldn’t help but smile.
“I wonder how strong I am now.” After pondering for a moment, another idea suddenly occurred to him.
“Why not take a look at the future?” Time travel was considered a forbidden act among the gods.
Even Beerus, the God of Destruction, rarely dared interfere with time.
The Supreme Kai, however, was an exception.
As the deity responsible for creation, the Supreme Kai’s duty was to create planets and nurture life.
To better observe the results of those creations and improve efficiency, Supreme Kais had been granted permission to travel into the future.
Thinking about work made Shin blush slightly.
Over the past year, he hadn’t performed any of the Supreme Kai’s duties.
He had spent all his time increasing his own strength instead.
Then another thought crossed his mind.
Beerus sleeps for decades—or even centuries—at a time.
Surely it isn’t unreasonable for me, the Supreme Kai, to slack off for a few years… right?
The moment that thought appeared… His conscience immediately felt much lighter.
Not a trace of guilt remained.
“Now then…” “Which point in time should I visit first?” Shin raised his right hand.
On his ring finger rested a silver Time Ring.
This ring served as both proof of his authority and the tool that allowed a Supreme Kai to travel through future timelines without violating the laws of time.
“The original East Supreme Kai was probably stronger than Super Saiyan but weaker than Super Saiyan 2.” “In that case…” Shin’s eyes suddenly lit up.
“I’ll head to the time of the Cell Games.” “Let’s see whether my current strength is enough to suppress Perfect Cell.” After confirming the temporal coordinates, Shin used Instant Transmission, moving from the World of the Supreme Kai to outer space above Earth.
“Both the spatial and temporal coordinates are locked.” “Now…” “Time travel.” With a thought, Shin activated the Time Ring.
⸻ Age 767 — Outer Space Above Earth Whoosh!
Shin arrived at the chosen point in time.
His gaze immediately swept across the planet below as his divine consciousness rapidly searched the Earth.
“Found him.” His eyes brightened.
Using Instant Transmission once again, he vanished.
⸻ Cell Games Arena Cell stood alone in the center of the arena, patiently waiting for the Cell Games to begin.
Ten thousand meters above him… Shin hovered silently in the sky.
Although thick clouds separated the two and an enormous distance lay between them, Shin could still see every detail of Cell’s body with perfect clarity.
“So this is Cell…” Shin sensed Cell’s life energy.
Compared to his own… Cell was as insignificant as an insect.
He could erase him with a mere wave of his hand.
“No…” “It’s not that Cell is weak.” “It’s that I’ve become too strong.” Shin smiled to himself.
