In Cereal Planet, celebrations echoed.
The sapiens celebrated with alcoholic drinks, while Namekians simply drank water and danced, praying to their gods and giving them thanks.
Zukishi was in the middle of the Namekian village, looking at the sky, where he could sense the power levels.
Sitting next to him and leaning on his shoulder was Sala.
She had already been clingy to him, but ever since seeing Fruita flirting with him, she had become more like glue, trying to win his affection by throwing herself at him.
Monaito smiled at the sight, leaning on his cane.
Zukishi looked at the elderly Namekian, deep in thought.
‘Motherfucker!
I saved you all from extinction, and now you’re not offering me your two dragon balls.
Fuck him, why just two balls?
Thinking about it is gay enough,’ Zukishi thought behind the mask of a smiling man.
He needed the dragon balls desperately.
He knew he could train to get strong, but it would take him many years.
And he couldn’t abuse the Zenkai boost, as the returns would diminish over time, like a muscle getting exhausted.
Not to mention the risks were too high.
And, moreover, the body of a Saiyan isn’t stupid.
It knows the difference between a real life-and-death fight and faking it.
“Well, young warrior,” spoke the Namekian, “I have nothing to say but I admire your spirit and courage.
You’ve gotten strong in a short time, and you protected us.
I was doubtful at first, but I can’t help but express my gratitude.”
He bowed, and following him were the other Namekian warriors.
Zukishi faked a smile as Sala grabbed a massive mug and took a large gulp of alcohol.
To her, the purpose of this trip was to get stronger.
Zukishi had abused their biological traits using the healing magic of the Namekians, giving them strength that surpassed anyone in the records of the Saiyans.
She was like the third strongest person in her race, and there wasn’t much difference between her and the second.
But who was truly surprising was Zukishi, who reached near 200,000.
In her eyes, there would be no man for her other than Zukishi.
At first, she wanted to get a high-class warrior.
But now, she had only one option, and she would make sure he would never leave her.
She leaned on his shoulder and closed her eyes.
Zukishi nodded at the Namekians, “Don’t worry.
I’m not shy.
I’ll accept your gratitude with an open heart.”
“And we won’t hold back,” replied Monaito with a smile.
“But we are just a rising civilization.
If you need money or anything, we’ll give you all we have.”
All he offered was a cheap payment.
Zukishi’s smile got wider as a couple of veins became apparent on his forehead.
‘Motherfucker.
You have the dragon balls, yet, you think only of giving me money?
You’re not a rich civilization.
I bet that conquering this planet and selling it to miners would bring more money.
But forget it.
‘They don’t seem to like giving their balls to strangers.’
Monaito noticed something on Zukishi’s face and leaned forward, “Are you sick?
Your heart rate is accelerating, and your forehead is sweating.
Don’t tell me you got injured.”
He extended his hand, sending magical energy to heal him.
Zukishi was simply getting angry.
Had this been a fight, his power level would have reached 500,000 or more.
Saiyans had a trait of getting stronger with rage.
However, they were a warrior race who evolved to keep their emotions under control.
Yet, Zukishi was only a human, and he was resisting the urge to punch the Namekian’s head out of his body.
‘Forget it.
If I can’t get the balls as a Saiyan, I’ll get them as a human.’
“Don’t try it,” Zukishi waved his hand, “It’s more of a psychological wound that can’t be healed.”
“Huh?
What?”
“Don’t you find it strange, a warrior who used to conquer planets is coming back to save other people?” Zukishi said, “An evil person like that changing because he learned the existence of other life… sounds quite lame, isn’t it.”
For the first time, something other than nonchalance and a desire to fight appeared in his eyes.
An emotion rare for his race.
Pity and sadness.
“What is it?” Monaito asked, clearly curious.
He had wondered many times why an evil invader like Zukishi would stand up for their planet and protect them.
Though he doubted why, the actions were more honest than words.
So he had decided to believe that Zukishi had accumulated good karma.
“Actually,” Zukishi looked up to the sky, “My whole race is going to hell because of one lizard race.
We, the Saiyans, are peaceful people who like to brawl among each other.
However, ever since King Cold invaded our planet, he had been forcing us to do many bad things.
“At one point, I fought against a spiritual civilization.
As a punishment, he used a strange technique that made me see my parents in hell.
They were the nicest people I knew, but because of the lizard King Cold, they suffered this.”
“Don’t worry, young warrior.
“No… No.
It’s not it.
They killed many, and they deserve it,” he replied, tears streaming down his face.
“But what I can’t accept is what Frieza and his father are doing?
I want to antagonize them, to become so strong and end their reign of evil.”
The reason why he was crying.
He thought of some sad scenes from Naruto.
Not a good reason, but enough to make him remember when he got sad, and thus, even a spiritual person like Monaito wouldn’t be able to detect anything wrong with his words.
“That’s why… even if I have to sacrifice my life, I’ll look for enough power to save the universe and spare my people from a fate they haven’t chosen,” Zukishi said as he rubbed his tears away.
“And by that, they won’t invade people, and trillions of souls will be saved.”
He thought that the only reason why they wouldn’t give him the dragon ball was the same reason why they didn’t give it to Granola in canon.
To not make a selfish wish.
Zukishi, here, showed that he had a wish, one that wasn’t selfish, to save his race and possibly, the whole galaxy.
Well, he wondered how the Namekian could still act as if the dragon balls didn’t exist, when by revealing them, he could save many races from extinction and a race from suffering in the afterlife.
After all, Planet Vegeta was full of millions of Saiyans who were breeding nonstop.
They were growing strong, and their Great Ape transformation allowed even their low class to invade many planets.
Basically, at this point, hiding the dragon balls, they would be the ones who were very selfish.
“That’s what we humans call a dick move,” Zukishi thought.
“I see,” Monaito nodded slightly as he patted Zukishi on the shoulder.
The other Namekians around went silent, hearing him.
No one doubted his story.
When he had arrived, they may have been suspicious, but the words he said had been proven right.
Frieza and his army, aliens, and Saiyans came to invade this planet.
And it was Zukishi and his companion who saved them.
He said at that time he had no reason to lie.
And now, he wouldn’t have one.
“Elder.
Maybe we should help him back,” a Namekian warrior said sympathetically.
“It’s not selfish.
And he’s a warrior.
Besides, he won’t mind paying the price,” another added.
Zukishi, like someone waiting for his turn to get free snacks, pretended to be surprised when they spoke.
“But, it’d be his life on the line, and they are a short-lived species,” Monaito said.
“Zukishi!” one warrior stood up and looked down at him, “You said you’d even pay your life to stop the so-called tyrant Frieza.
How far are you willing to go to fulfill that wish?”
