Entering the training room that Bardock designed, Zukishi was quite happy with the simplicity of the internal design.

He charged a small amount of Ki and hit the red solid walls of the chamber.

The Ki reflected and almost hit him back.Full novel: Dragon Ball: Starting As a High Class Warrior — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The ki ball kept bouncing, until the room absorbed all of the impacts energy.

It then vanished.

‘I told him that I think of using it as a prison or a trap room.

So, he made its defenses good.

It can be locked by my voice command, or by the computer screen in the door.

Not bad, Bardock.

Being a low-class Saiyan makes you pick a secondary job.

‘Talking about secondary jobs.

I need to get a Namekian Language course.’

“Increase the gravity to 1.5 V.” He ordered.

For reference, V meant Vegeta (the planet).

‘I need to change the name of this planet in the future.

I’ve been in this world for less than two weeks, and I’ve started getting sick of that name.’ He thought to himself.

Suddenly, his body felt heavier.

Movements felt buggy and annoying.

He began walking.

‘The magic of gravity training isn’t in body adaptation only, but even a simple workout here is so intense.’ As he didn’t have Senzu beans or a quick way to heal himself after training, he decided to take things slowly.

He didn’t care if it took him 2 years to finish this gravity training.

As long as he was improving, so be it.

He dropped to his hands, taking a push-up stance.

“Not only is the body heavier, but my organs, my blood vessels, and even delicate fibers and nerves are being pulled down… Amazing…” he started doing push-ups.

Even three sets of a hundred, which was a plaything in normal gravity, felt so intense and very hard to complete.

Next were the squats.

Even without weights, he barely did three sets of hundreds, and finally, a few sets of pull-ups.

‘I need to get some weights to train my back… some rowing would be nice… and I would have to spend money buying a healing pod.

I may recruit a Saiyan doctor in my team.’

He thought as he laid down on the room.

Even laying down felt torturous, but he decided to endure and let his body adapt for some time.

After a couple of hours, he echoed a command.

“Turn Off.”

The gravity went back to normal.

He sat up, feeling so light all of a sudden.

‘Not bad for my first training session.

But not enough.’ He thought as he stood up, his body sore.

He had an urge to increase the gravity to 2 times all of a sudden, but he didn’t want to risk it.

They didn’t have instant healing methods, and healing technology at this point in the story wasn’t as advanced as the anime.

It’s not worth taking a lot of time recovering.

He narrowed his eyebrows when he saw a bunch of power levels… quite high ones… approaching his location.

They ranged from 4000 to 6000.

Typically, the high end of mid-class Saiyans and the low end of high-class.

“What are they doing?” he left the new spaceship, and looked in the sky, to see three people flying to him.

They stopped.

A bunch of muscular heads were now facing him.

From their clothes, which had a badge, he knew that they worked directly for the palace.

“To what do I owe the honor?” he asked.

“The King has sent us for you,” said one in the middle of the trio, reaching his scouter and looking at Zukishi.

He narrowed his eyebrows and muttered, “The rumors said you made it to 15,000… but it’s only 9,000.

Still, good progress.”

Zukishi smiled.

Try training and staying under high gravity for a while.

You’d get exhausted, and as a result, the scouter number will drop.

“Anyways…” Zukishi rubbed the back of his head, “Why is he calling?”

“Obviously.

He’s heard of your advancement, and that’s why he called for you.

Who knows, you may be promoted or get offered a new job.” Said the guy, “and maybe, you’ll stop hanging out with those low-class losers.” By the losers, he hinted to his followers.

“They have a decent power level, and they follow orders well.

That’s all that matters,” said Zukishi.

Another Saiyan laughed.

“Hanging with losers dulled your mind or something.”

“What matters is your strength, nothing more.”

“We’re a proud race.

Strength matters the most.”

They said in succession.

Zukishi raised his head to the sky and nodded.

He finally found people with Vegeta’s mindset.

“Let’s go first.

I won’t keep Vegeta waiting,” Zukishi replied as he floated, before flying with his utmost speed, leaving the others flying behind him.

He reached a city, in a place that seemed to be a different country.

The city was shiny with lights that eliminated the darkness, high buildings, and more.

And in the middle, there was a massive palace outstanding.

Ships were entering and leaving nonstop.

High-end technological devices could be spotted everywhere.

The palace was dark, with many shiny lights around.

‘For someone who simply issues orders to conquer other planets, I wonder what is inside that mansion…’

He stopped by the gates of the palace, where two Saiyan guards were standing.

“Your meeting is now.”

Zukishi nodded, while looking at the guards, wondering how much their power level was.

They showed respective powers of 5000 and 6000.

They were very strong, for normal standards.

“The King Doesn’t like waiting.” A guard said urgently.

Zukishi shrugged and walked inside the palace, heading all the way to the main room while looking around.

There were many rooms, and he was quite curious to know what’s inside each one of them.

But he suppressed his curiosity and went to the main hall.

Vegeta, the king, was standing in the middle, standing at a proud height of 188cm tall with a body bulging of muscles, spiky hair upwards, and a slight beard.

His cap was red.

Around them were many Saiyans, among them even elders.

All of them wore white caps, while the king wore a red one.

He looked at Vegeta, and seeing how tall he was, Zukishi couldn’t help but wonder.

‘Knowing how short his son would end up being, I wonder how short the king’s wife is.’ He thought.

“Zukishi.

Welcome back!” the king laughed heartily, “I’ve heard you’ve done so well in your last mission that your power shot up.”

“What can I say, I was lucky to survive the grip of death,” replied Zukishi walking to the king, offering a slight bow.

The king grabbed a scouter and examined, “Hmm…9000!”

“Is it that surprising, your majesty?” Zukishi replied with a smile.

There was a reason why he flew here with his highest speed.

Obviously, to fool the king.

If Vegeta saw a power level of 15k, he may end up trying to back-stab Zukishi quickly to secure his reign.

The king may pride himself on being a warrior who refuses to bend down, but Beerus and Frieza say otherwise.

“Not really!

It’s still amazing, You’re near my level now.

Not many have reached that level.” Vegeta replied, “this means we still can count on you on the mission I have for you.

With how young you are, with some more dangerous missions, you may surpass me!”

‘As if an insecure bitch like you would let anyone surpass your five-year-old prodigy.’ He thought to himself while maintaining a polite smile.

“I’m flattered,” he replied.

It seemed that the king hadn’t caught up on the fact Zukishi had surpassed him yet.

But even so, the difference wasn’t that much.

Only 3,000.

Anything can happen in a near-level fight, even if you are slightly stronger.

For that reason, Zukishi planned to get overwhelmingly stronger.

“Good!

Good!

Are you not curious about the mission I called you for?” Vegeta said, “It may be the most rewarding mission in the history of the Saiyans.”

Zukishi bit his bottom lip, not feeling good about where this was going.
