“Master, please!
Teach me how to become a Super Saiyan God!
I’m begging you!”
When Alex didn’t immediately respond, Goku assumed he was deep in thought.
Alex finally snapped out of his reverie and laughed.
“There’s no rush for that, Goku.
Even if I taught you how to transform into a Super Saiyan God right now, your body wouldn’t be able to maintain it for very long.”
It was the truth.
The Super Saiyan God form drained a monumental amount of stamina and ki—arguably just as much, if not more, than a high-level Kaio-ken.
“For now, I’m going to teach you the Ultimate Kaio-ken.”
Hearing that, Goku’s face lit up with pure, unadulterated joy.
A warm, giddy thrill of excitement rushed through his chest.
The Kaio-ken had always been his absolute favorite trump card, and getting to learn a perfected, ultimate version of it was practically a dream come true.
“Awesome!
Let’s get started, Master!”
Right at that moment, Yurin stepped forward, hands on her hips.
“I want to be your disciple too!”
Alex looked over at her, not entirely surprised.
She was in love with Tien, and since Tien had already joined his dojo, it was only natural she’d want to stick around.
It had just been a matter of time.
He was only slightly caught off guard by how fast she had made up her mind.
Goku blinked, looking between her and Alex in confusion.
“Huh?
Weren’t you already his disciple?”
“I wasn’t a minute ago, but I am now!” Yurin declared, her chin held high.
Alex raised an eyebrow, amused.
“Oh?
You’re awfully confident about that.”
“Of course I am,” she smirked.
Seeing her act so smug, Alex couldn’t help but wonder where she got her leverage.
Did she really think just because she was a pretty woman, he’d automatically accept her?
If so, she had another thing coming.
“And what if I refuse to take you in?”
Yurin’s expression turned dead serious.
“I’m not worried.
If you won’t accept me, I’ll just drop to my knees right here in your courtyard and refuse to get up until you do.”
She crossed her arms, a sly glint in her eye.
“And when people walk by and see a poor, helpless girl kneeling in the dirt, they’re going to think you’re bullying me.
You’re a grand, divine God, right?
You wouldn’t want people thinking a deity goes around bullying women, would you?”
‘Wow.
Shameless.
She had a point, though.
Even without the system rewards, Alex would probably have taken her in anyway—the more disciples he had, the faster he scaled.
And she was right; he really didn’t want to deal with the headache of her throwing a public pity party on his doorstep.
“Alright, you win,” Alex chuckled.
“I’ll accept you.”
“However,” he added, his tone shifting into something a bit sharper, “you need to address me as ‘Master’ properly.
I want to hear if you genuinely mean it.
If your heart is truly in it, you’re in.
If this is just a game to you, we can end this right now.”
It was the ultimate lie detector test.
If she called him Master and the system didn’t give him a reward, he’d know she was faking it.
Yurin immediately bowed deeply, her voice ringing with absolute sincerity.
“Master!”
“Ding!
Congratulations to the host for taking Yurin as a disciple.
Rewarding: 100 Million Power Level, Celestial Arts, Healing Magic, and Super Ki Control.”
Hearing the meager 100 million power level reward, Alex felt a tiny twinge of disappointment.
But he quickly brushed it off.
Yurin’s base power was practically non-existent compared to the Saiyans, so squeezing a hundred million out of her baseline was actually a pretty massive return.
Glancing at the technique list, Alex knew immediately that the Celestial Arts were practically tailor-made for her.
As for the Healing Magic and Super Ki Control, he decided to hold onto those for now.
Handing a brand-new student a dozen ultimate techniques all at once was just asking for trouble.
“Yurin, I can feel your sincerity,” Alex nodded approvingly.
“Since you are truly dedicated, I will teach you the Celestial Arts!”
“But it’s first come, first served.
I need to teach Goku the Ultimate Kaio-ken first.”
Yurin’s eyes went wide with sheer shock.
She had read about the ancient Celestial Arts in old esoteric texts—it was an all-encompassing, supreme form of magic that made her current talisman witchcraft look like cheap parlor tricks.
They weren’t even on the same playing field.
She had assumed that since her background was in witchcraft, Alex wouldn’t actually have anything specific to teach her.
True sorcery was a lost art in this world.
She never imagined he actually possessed it.
‘If I master the Celestial Arts, I can definitely keep up with Tien…
maybe even surpass him!’ she thought, her heart racing.
‘He really is a god!’
She quickly bowed again.
“Thank you so much, Master!”
Not wanting to waste any more daylight, Alex instructed Goku to sit cross-legged on the ground and began lecturing him on the core theory of the Ultimate Kaio-ken.
“Goku, King Kai’s original technique focuses on violently forcing out the body’s hidden potential.
The Ultimate Kaio-ken takes that a step further. This chapter was taken from g.com without permission.
It requires not just the explosive release of potential, but absolute, seamless control over the retraction of that energy…”
An hour quickly passed.
Alex carefully broke down the ki circulation methods and mental triggers required for the upgraded technique.
Because Goku already had a flawless foundation with the original Kaio-ken, everything clicked instantly.
He felt like a heavy fog had been lifted from his mind.
“Wow,” Goku breathed out in awe.
“Listening to your words is like…
listening to your words!”
Alex, who had just taken a sip of water, nearly choked and spat it everywhere.
Tien quickly sighed and corrected him.
“Goku, the saying is ‘listening to your words is better than reading books for ten years’.”
“Right, that!” Goku grinned sheepishly.
“Goku, take some time to digest the theory,” Alex instructed, wiping his mouth.
“Once you’re ready, I’ll send you into the Super Hyperbolic Time Chamber.”
“Hyperbolic Time Chamber?
Like the one up on Kami’s Lookout?” Goku asked, tilting his head.
“It’s not the one on the Lookout,” Tien chimed in, unable to hide his excitement.
“It’s the Super Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
It’s infinitely better than the one we used!”
Tien spent the next five minutes giving Goku the rundown on the chamber’s insane specs and lack of physical aging.
Goku pumped his fist in the air, his eyes sparkling.
“That’s incredible!
No wonder you got so strong so fast, Tien!”
Tien just rubbed his nose with a proud grin.
Alex then turned his attention back to his newest student.
“Yurin, the Celestial Arts are incredibly complex.
The training will be tedious, difficult, and painful.
Are you sure you’re ready to commit to this?”
“I am!” Yurin answered without a second of hesitation.
While she spoke, Alex triggered the mental command.
‘System, learn Celestial Arts!’
“Ding!
Congratulations to the host for successfully learning Celestial Arts!”
A vast ocean of ancient esoteric knowledge, hand seals, and spiritual mantras flooded into his brain, embedding themselves into his memory.
“Then I will explain the foundation of the Celestial Arts to you,” Alex began, his voice taking on a heavy, ancient cadence.
“The Celestial Arts, also known as the Dao of the Celestial Master, relies primarily on ‘Seals’ for combat.
These Seals are divided into three distinct paths: Summoning Spirits, Commanding Specters, and Channeling the Way.”
He closed his eyes, reciting the core mantra.
“The Spirit merges with the Ki, the Ki merges with the True Body.
Without Truth, it is but an empty name.
The Spirit can enter stone, the Spirit can take flight.
It does not drown in water, it does not burn in fire…”
