Half an hour later, Alex had completely stabilized the God Ki within his body.

He stretched comfortably, patting his chest.

As long as my base power level gets high enough, ascending to actual godhood will be a walk in the park.’

He pulled up his status screen.

Meanwhile, far across the universe in the Sacred World of the Kai.

Old Kai, who had been intently “studying” a magazine of beautiful women, suddenly snapped his head toward Universe 7.

He actually lowered his magazine.

This uncharacteristic movement immediately confused Shin, the East Supreme Kai.

Knowing Old Kai, he would never put down his precious “research materials” unless something massive had happened.

“Is something wrong, Ancestor?”

Old Kai casually reached over and whacked Shin over the head.

“Why don’t you check for yourself, idiot?!”

Shin rubbed his head in grievance, but obediently extended his divine senses across the universe.

A second later, he gasped, looking at Old Kai in absolute horror.

“A God Ki signature?

Who out there managed to awaken God Ki?!”

Seeing Shin take over the watch, Old Kai instantly relaxed, picking his magazine right back up.

Shin sighed helplessly.

His ancestor really was entirely too carefree.

Still, he needed to investigate this mortal who had somehow obtained the energy of the gods.

With a flash, he teleported away.

Back on Earth, Alex had no idea that simply assimilating God Ki had alerted the highest deities in the universe.

He was still sitting in his tree, pondering who to scam into being his next disciple.

Suddenly, a streak of light crashed down from the sky.

Alex instantly went on high alert.

The newcomer’s energy was completely imperceptible, which meant they were vastly stronger than him—or they were a deity.

Even with a 2.5 billion power level, he was still weak in the grand scheme of things.

But when the dust cleared, he relaxed.

He immediately recognized the short man with purple skin, a white mohawk, Potara earrings, and the standard divine uniform.

‘Oh?

The East Supreme Kai?’ Alex blinked.

‘Why is Shin here?

Did he sense me awakening God Ki?

Makes sense.

It’s the prerequisite for godhood, after all.

Since he’s the god of this universe, it’s completely normal for him to notice a new divine signature popping up.’

He dropped down from the tree, floating over to Shin with a welcoming smile.

“Lord Supreme Kai.

A pleasure to meet you.”

Shin stared at Alex, studying him closely.

It was true.

This young man had fully integrated God Ki into his body.

But who was he?

How did he cultivate divine energy?

Seeing the traditional robes, Shin assumed he was some sort of ascetic martial artist who had reached enlightenment.

And how did he know his identity?

Well, if the man had touched the realm of the gods, sensing the truth of the universe and recognizing a Supreme Kai wasn’t too far-fetched.

Since Shin was naturally polite, and Alex was greeting him with a smile, he returned the courtesy.

“Hello there!

May I ask who you are?

How did you manage to cultivate the energy of the gods?”

‘So it really was the God Ki that brought him here,’ Alex thought.

“My name is Alex.

As for the God Ki, I honestly just stumbled upon it by pure luck.” He obviously wasn’t going to mention the system.

Shin thought it over and accepted the explanation.

The man just had incredible fortune.

Perhaps, in a few million years, he would be chosen as a Supreme Kai in training.

After all, Universe 7 was supposed to have North, South, and West Supreme Kais as well, but those seats had been empty for eons.

Thinking of this, Shin’s attitude grew even warmer.

If Alex eventually filled one of those empty seats, they would be colleagues.

“That is wonderful.

It proves you have a great destiny.

I look forward to the day we might become comrades.”

Alex was taken aback.

Comrades?

Become a Supreme Kai?

He had zero interest in managing a universe.

But he didn’t want to ruin the mood, so he just smiled and nodded.

“Hopefully!”

Shin then noticed the massive stone structure nearby, but since he had never seen the Super Hyperbolic Time Chamber, he just assumed it was Alex’s dojo.

“Well then, Alex, I will take my leave.”

He had confirmed that Alex wasn’t a threat and might even be a future ally, so there was no need to interrogate him further.

Better to get back before Old Kai whacked him again.

“Stop by anytime,” Alex offered politely.

Shin smiled, turning into a streak of light and vanishing into the cosmos.

Once he was gone, Alex flew back up to his branch.

‘Alright, who’s my next target?

With my current strength, going after the heavy hitters might be tricky.’

“Ding!

Disciple Tien Shinhan has increased his base power level by 1 Billion.

Host receives a double boost of 2 Billion.” “Current Host Base Power Level: 4.5 Billion.”

‘Oh, nice!’ Alex grinned.

‘They haven’t even been in there that long, and Tien already jumped by a billion.

It seems…’

Before he could finish the thought, another chime echoed in his head.

“Ding!

Disciple Chiaotzu has increased his base power level by 100 Million.

Host receives a double boost of 200 Million.” “Current Host Base Power Level: 4.7 Billion.”

‘Not bad, Chiaotzu!

A hundred million is a huge leap for him.’ Alex knew Chiaotzu hated physical training, so this was a genuine surprise.

It meant the little guy wasn’t just slacking off in the chamber; he was actually putting in real work.

Suddenly, an idea flashed through Alex’s mind.

‘I’ve got it.

I’ll make Goku my next disciple!’ A sly, profound smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth.

He had a plan.

‘But first, let’s see if anyone actually lives in this dojo.’ He floated down and did a quick sweep of the compound.

Not a single soul.

‘Empty?

If there’s no one here, why is the place so clean?

And why were there robes just lying around?

Did the owner just step out?’ He shrugged it off.

‘Whatever.

Not my problem right now.

I’ll deal with it if they come back.’

Right at that moment, an arrogant voice shouted from outside the dojo gates.

“Three-eyed baldy!

Get out here right now!”
