“A gift that will leave me sweating?” Tien asked, full of confusion.
Alex’s thin lips curved into a slight smile.
“Exactly.
You’ve heard of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, haven’t you?”
Tien tilted his head, searching his memory.
It sounded familiar.
Before Alex could elaborate, realization dawned on him.
“Master, I have!
I remember hearing it’s located up on Kami’s Lookout.”
“That’s right.
The Lookout has one, and I have one too.
Only, mine is the Super Hyperbolic Time Chamber!”
Alex didn’t actually plan on just handing the chamber over to Tien; he was going to throw him inside to train.
That was the ‘sweat-inducing’ gift.
He pulled up the Super Hyperbolic Time Chamber’s specs in his mind.
The interior was as vast as Earth itself, complete with mountains and rivers.
No matter how destructive the attacks unleashed inside, the environment was completely indestructible.
The gravity could be manually adjusted up to nearly ten billion times normal, and the temperature ranged from a freezing -120°C to a scorching 520°C.
Spending ten years inside equated to a single day in the outside world, and crucially, time spent inside did not age the user physically.
However, there were restrictions.
A person could only enter ten times in their entire life, with a maximum of ten people per session.
Furthermore, the chamber constantly drained the user’s mental stamina.
Once a person’s spirit was completely exhausted, they would be automatically ejected.
How long someone could last depended entirely on their sheer willpower.
When Alex first read those specs, he was blown away.
It was infinitely better than the original chamber on the Lookout.
If he remembered correctly, Kami’s chamber had terrible limitations.
The gravity was only ten times that of Earth.
One year inside equaled one day outside.
A maximum of two people could enter at a time, and a person could only spend two days (two years inside) there in their entire life—stay any longer, and the exit vanished forever, trapping them in a void.
Compared to his Super version, the original was practically a joke.
“Super…
Hyperbolic Time Chamber?” Tien repeated blankly.
“Exactly.
It’s an upgraded version.
I’m sending you in right now.
Ten years in there is just one day out here!”
“What?!” Tien was utterly flabbergasted, his third eye practically bulging out of his forehead.
He knew the legends.
The chamber on the Lookout was one year to one day.
This one was ten years to one day?
That ratio was insane.
Alex wasn’t surprised by the reaction.
He casually laid out the rest of the rules.
“Don’t get too excited just yet.
The time you can actually spend in there depends entirely on your mental strength.
Once your spirit drains completely, the chamber will kick you out.
On top of that, you can only use it ten times in your entire life…”
Even with the restrictions, Tien was thoroughly shaken.
He clenched his fists.
With his newly awakened Three-Eyed Celestial Bloodline boosting his potential to terrifying heights, a decade of uninterrupted training in that chamber would guarantee an astronomical leap in his power.
He could barely contain his excitement.
Seeing him so hyped, Alex didn’t waste any more time.
“Follow me.”
The two disciples followed closely behind.
A few moments later, they reached a flat, open clearing.
Alex waved his hand casually, summoning a surge of majestic energy.
Instantly, a massive stone building covering a hundred and twenty square meters materialized out of thin air.
“In you go, Tien!”
Tien just stood there, staring at the heavy doors.
He couldn’t move or speak.
His heart was pounding, his breathing heavy, his blood rushing.
When he finally stepped back out of those doors, he was going to be a true powerhouse!
Chiaotzu looked up at Alex with pleading eyes.
“Master, I want to go in with Tien.”
Alex didn’t mind.
The capacity was ten people, after all.
“Go ahead.
But Chiaotzu, once you’re inside, I want you to focus purely on your psychic abilities.”
“Yes, Master!”
“Go on.”
At Alex’s command, the two of them sprinted into the Super Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
Once the doors shut behind them, Alex glanced around, spotted a towering ancient tree, and floated up to the highest branches.
He settled comfortably against the trunk, ready for a nap.
At the same time, he pulled up the system interface to inspect his new rewards.
Super Precognition: The ability to see exactly 2 seconds into the future.
Telepathy: Mental communication with anyone within a 100-meter radius.
God Ki: The prerequisite divine energy required to achieve true godhood.
Ultimate Kaio-ken: A perfected version of the Kaio-ken technique.
Drastically reduces physical strain and stamina drain, allowing the user to safely stack much higher multipliers.
Alex couldn’t help the thrill of excitement.
Every single one of these was an absolute god-tier skill.
Super Precognition alone was terrifying.
Seeing two seconds into the future meant he would know his opponent’s exact attack trajectory before they even twitched.
In high-level combat, 0.1 seconds could mean the difference between life and death.
Two whole seconds was basically a cheat code.
‘Wait, how does this compare to Hit’s Time-Skip?’ Alex mused.
‘Time-Skip actively skips time, while Super Precognition just sees into the future.
I guess it all comes down to the duration.
If my two seconds outlast his Time-Skip limit, I win.
If he can skip more than two seconds, he wins out.’
He didn’t want to waste any more time thinking about it.
He just needed to learn them all.
Without hesitation, he gave the mental command.
‘System, learn Super Precognition, Telepathy, and Ultimate Kaio-ken.
Assimilate God Ki.’
“Ding!
Congratulations to the host for successfully learning Super Precognition, Telepathy, and Ultimate Kaio-ken.” “Ding!
Congratulations to the host for successfully assimilating God Ki.”
A flood of martial arts mantras and technique insights poured into Alex’s brain, instantly mastering them.
A moment later, his body began to change.
A vast, majestic aura—like brilliant golden sunlight breaking through clouds—surged into his core.
Whoosh!
God Ki!
Three minutes later, Alex could clearly feel a distinctly different, higher-dimensional energy flowing through his veins.
This was God Ki.
The absolute prerequisite for reaching the realm of the gods.
Without God Ki, no matter how high someone’s power level climbed, they could never become a true god.
At best, they could only rival the gods in raw strength, or surpass them as a mortal.
And from what Alex knew of the Dragon Ball Super lore, pulling off a mortal-surpassing-gods feat was nearly impossible.
The only person who had ever truly done it was Jiren in the Tournament of Power.
