Well, The gods were playing with their wars and competitions. Mortals lived their miserable lives. As for him, Nicolas spent the morning with Mia in the mansion’s training courtyard. He taught her a simple breathing method drawn from the edges of the light he had sensed in her Common spirit, slow inhales that gathered the faint radiance, held it in the lower dantian, and released it in controlled streams. He called it the first gate of the Sacred Light Dao. Mia practiced until her small glow steadied and the worst of the residual fear in her eyes began to ease.
Afterward he took her on a quiet walk along the outer countryside branches. The air was clean, the canopy high and green. They spoke little. When they returned he left her in the main hall with instructions to rest and eat, then stepped aside to make a call.
His father answered on the first ring.
“I’m going into a dungeon,” Nicolas said. “Legendary rank. Outer branch. I’ll be back.”
There was a pause. Then Lili’s voice cut in, closer to the receiver, warm and urgent.
“Nicolas. Be careful. We love you. Very much. Come home. You know that we love you. Never forget that.”
“I will,” he answered, and ended the call.
The Legendary dungeon stood at the edge of a broken limb far from Ragnar’s main growth an open maw of black stone and residual killing intent. Nicolas felt the familiar low heat of arousal as he approached the entrance, a restless edge that had grown with every new dragon bond and every evolution of his bloodline. He ignored it and stepped inside.
The first levels were dense.
He did not use flashy techniques. He opened Absolute Darkness—the completed Dao Nera had given him, and let it flood the corridors. Shadows thickened into solid, hungry things. He moved through them with his own body as the weapon: denser bones, Mythic-channeled strength, the layered speed of Fire and Earth and Water. One by one the denser groups fell. Jokai hybrid forms were crushed or drained of life by living shadow. Asuras in their warlike shapes were broken at the joints and left lifeless. Goblins died in waves, their crude weapons never reaching him. He advanced methodically, methodically, until the lower halls were silent and carpeted with cooling bodies.
At the final chamber the true guardian waited like nothing happened in the first place.
She stood in the center of a wide stone platform, nine tails of living crimson-black flame swaying behind her. High superior blood demon fox. Her humanoid form was devastatingtall, powerful, skin the pale gold of old blood under moonlight, face refined and predatory. Full, heavy W-cup breasts strained against the remnants of dark silk, nipples already tight from the residual heat of battle. Her waist was narrow, hips wide and lush, legs long and strong. Three Heroic spirits hovered behind her like crowns: the Empress of Succubi, a Scarlet Dragon, and the Empress Enchantress. When she spoke her voice carried the weight of old bloodlines.
“I am the last of the Fenrir line that still carries the divine blood of Time,” she said. “You should not have come this far, little emperor like you are pretending to be the big boss.”
She moved.
The first exchange nearly killed him. Time itself stuttered. A claw traced across his chest and the wound aged in an instant, flesh blackening and splitting. A second strike warped the space around his ribs; bones cracked under pressure that should not have existed yet. Succubus allure slammed into his mind at the same moment the Scarlet Dragon spirit breathed concentrated fire. Nicolas staggered, blood pouring from the time-ravaged wound, vision graying at the edges. Absolute Darkness barely held the worst of the temporal damage at bay.
He released the dragonesses.
Ember, Victoria, Lola, Nera, and Lisa erupted into the chamber in full combat form. Mythic white-gold fire, Prime Earth, Volcanic Foundation, Dark Eternal Fire laced with Legend, and Supreme Water carrying Primal and Darkness all struck at once. The fox staggered under the combined assault. Tails lashed. Time fractured again. She bled from a dozen new wounds, yet her eyes remained clear and cold. With a final twist of her divine bloodline she tore a hole in the chamber’s reality and vanished, leaving only the fading scent of blood and scorched silk.
Nicolas dropped to one knee, the time-wound still eating at his chest. He reached out, seized Nera by the wrist, and pulled her down with him onto the blood-slick stone. Follow the newest chapters on g.com.
He needed the bond. He needed the healing that only the deepest synchronization could force.
Nera understood. She straddled him without hesitation, midnight skin and heavy curves settling over his hips. She guided him inside her in one smooth motion and began to move—hard, urgent, the dark fire of her body pouring into the link between them. Nicolas gripped her lush hips and thrust up to meet her, every stroke driving more of her Heroic Dark Eternal Fire and Legend element into the damaged pathways of his bloodline. The time-wound burned, then cooled, then began to close under the dual pressure of pleasure and power. Nera’s full breasts swayed above him; her voice broke into low, raw moans as she rode him through the healing. When he came it was deep and complete, flooding her while the last of the temporal damage finally sealed. She followed a moment later, dark fire flaring along her spine, and collapsed against his chest.
They stayed like that until his breathing steadied.
Nicolas rose, collected the sparse rewards the dungeon still offered, and left the empty halls behind. The gate back to the countryside branch opened under his hand. By the time he reached the mansion the night canopy of Jupiter had fully settled. Mia was waiting in the main hall, light spirit faintly glowing. She took one look at the dried blood on his clothes and the new hardness in his eyes, but asked no questions.
He cleaned himself, checked the quiet presence of Ember and Victoria still carrying their young, and sat in the dark living room of the house he now owned.
The last Fenrir fox with the divine blood of Time was still out there.
And the Dragon Emperor had almost died learning her name.
Man got cooked.
