Zeus made some moves on the Christ super universe. Nicolas returned to the family house on the upper branches of Ragnar the next morning. The living wood paths felt familiar under his feet, yet everything about him had changed. Lili opened the door before he knocked. She pulled him into a tight embrace, crimson eyes searching his face for injuries that were no longer there. His father stood behind her, golden gaze measuring the new weight in his son’s presence.

They sat together in the main room. Conversation stayed light at first dungeon reports, market prices, the small news of the branch. Then Nicolas looked at his father and asked the question that had followed him out of the Legendary dungeon.

“If someone came to this door and told you your son had died in a dungeon… how would you feel?”Full novel: Dragon Kaiser: Dragons Obey Me Against the Martial Spirit. — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The older Sun Elf was silent for a long time. When he finally spoke, his voice was low and rough.

“I would feel the world end. I would feel every hunt, every risk, every year I spent trying to give you a future turn to ash. I would not recover. Neither would your mother. That is the truth.”

Lili reached across the table and gripped Nicolas’s hand. “Do not make us receive that news. Please.”

Later that afternoon he crossed paths with Mina near the mid-branch market. She was one of the five humans from his old class at Luminas quiet, practical, with a Common spirit that had never drawn much attention. She stopped when she saw him, eyes widening at the changes in his height and presence.

“Nicolas? You… look different. We heard you left the academy. Then the hunter test rumors started.”

They talked for a short while on a side platform overlooking the lower canopy. He asked how the others were doing. She answered carefully, Daniel’s family had fallen on hard times, the rest of the class had moved into regular training, no one spoke much about the boy who failed the altar. Mina herself had taken a low-level support post. She did not ask for details about his power. He did not offer any. When they parted she gave him a small, uncertain smile and wished him luck.

Back at the countryside mansion, Nicolas resumed Mia’s training in the courtyard. He corrected her breathing, adjusted her stance, and guided the faint Common Light through the first patterns of the Sacred Light Dao. She was still weak, still fragile from the attack and the years of being forsaken, but she listened and improved. When the session ended he told her to rest.

The mansion grounds included a long, open stretch of living wood and trimmed moss that someone had once shaped into a private golf course. Nicolas found an old set of clubs in a storage room and took Mia out as the afternoon light turned gold through the canopy. He showed her the basic grip and swing. She was clumsy at first; he was patient. They played a quiet nine holes with no score kept. The simple repetition of walking, swinging, and watching the ball arc through the high branches loosened something in both of them.

At the final green Mia stood close, cheeks faintly flushed from the exercise and the fading fear. Nicolas looked at her for a momentthe stubborn light spirit, the girl who had nowhere else to go, then leaned down and kissed her.

It was unhurried. Soft at first, then deeper when she did not pull away. Her hands rested lightly against his chest. When they separated she kept her eyes closed a second longer, breathing carefully.

“I don’t know what I’m allowed to want anymore,” she said quietly. You are reading on g.com, the official source.

“You’re allowed to stay,” Nicolas answered. “That’s enough for now.”

They walked back to the mansion together as the canopy darkened. Inside, the house was still and safe. Somewhere in the Domain, Ember and Victoria carried the next generation. Somewhere beyond the branches, a nine-tailed fox with the blood of Time still moved free.

But for this evening Nicolas sat with the people who remained family that feared his death, a classmate who had not forgotten his name, and a girl with a Common Light spirit who had begun to learn how to breathe again.

The Dragon Emperor let the quieter world hold him for a while.

Alr! He should get a fucking wedding! damn it! I project myself to much on this novel.
